Finished watching because I wanted to see the development between jason and kim pil suk! skipped a bit in other parts (I wasn't particularly interested in hyemi, jinguk and sam dong romance line) , but overall I liked the messages they tried to teach

Also I Need Romance 3, she not only kissed the second lead, but dated him a bit in the middle(/towards the end?) of the drama.

Another difference between hjp and nds: hjp wanted to reveal the truth but he went to grandma first to tell her that and hear what she thinks because it was her who started the lies, while nds decided for himself and was about to call her in order to see her and reveal the truth

I think the first time they showed it to us was in ep 3, after the afterparty, when sdm sent the first text to nds, and hjp told nds what to reply (thank yous and sweet dreams). When sdm receives the text, you can see that there's "2016".
Also in ep 4 when sdm receives the text from sandbox that informs her that she got through the first round, the date of the message is 2016.
Also in ep 8 at the end when we see the flashback of sdm receiving the text from hjp to record the meeting with chairman won, the full date of the previous messages contain 2016.

But okay, EVEN IF (and I definetly don't think so, but just to endulge you i'll make this assumption), the letters were 1000000000% fake, SDM STILL thinks the world of them, they are important to her because they helped her when it was one of the hardest time of her life. Now, she doesn't know the truth YET, but NDS DID belittle the importance of those letters TO Dalmi at this point in the drama. Therefore, in this case, NDS disregarded SDM's feelings. There's no exuse tbh, it's as simple as that, even IF (they weren't) those letters were fake and not genuine from hjp.

I just rewatched ep 5 and noticed that when young HJP was writing the letter to sdm about his birthday wish, first the camera shot showed us him writing "my wish", then another frame, then again a shot of him writing the word "family". Maybe I'm overthinking (probably lol), but if it was done intentionally, then nice job director! Like they highlighted the fact that what he really wants is a family!

First of all, it was my opinion and i pretty clearly said that >I< wouldn't be able to empathise with him when he will cry and give his reasoning for lying (only lie, never doubted his credibility of reasoning for love, where did you see me writing that? Didn't even mention that). Can't I express my opinion ?

Second, i told you already i understand why he wished that, and as i told you, yes there's nothing wrong with that and it's pretty understandable and natural for him to feel that way in his situation BUT, always in my opinion, and as i already told you, i think it was very inconsiderate of him telling that directly to her,because those letters ARE important to her.

I know and understand very well why he wished that. He can wish it (that she didn't know dosan 15 years ago) OF COURSE, but telling this to her FACE while knowing the letters matter to her because they helped her in a difficult time of her life was a low blow in my opinion.

Wouldn't you feel disappointed if someone told you that they wished you didn't have/experienced something that was dear and very important to you in the past?

I would be. And sdm was too, based on her sad look when he said that to her.

In the preview NDS says "i did it (lie) because I didn't want you to cry (like you are doing now)" if i remember well. So, if this is true, it means NDS knows very well the importance of those letters and that if she found out it was a lie then she'd be sad and would cry (like she is doing in the preview). Then, if he knows that, WHY on earth did he tell SDM in ep 7 that he wished she didn't know him back then 15 years ago? Let's think logically, if he knows those letters supported her through a tough time, how could he say that he wishes that she basically didn't have that important support she got thanks to the letters? That would definitely hurt her. Didn't he lie (as he says in he preview of next ep) because he didn't want her be hurt? And he hurt her anyway (albeit without knowing probably). That scene in ep 7 will make me not empathise with him next episode when he cries because I simply won't buy his reason (not wanting her to cry aka be sad and hurt). I KNOW he will mean it, but that scene in ep 7 won't make me believe it fully.

Not hating on nds or anything, apart from this and the fact that he benefitted from the lie (touches her hand, hair, non friendly hugs, kiss), I think he's a sweet and good guy, but yeah I can't support him as of now for the above reasons

I don't think it's a matter of HJP telling sdm that he likes her or him making a move already if he wants to have a chance with her in the end. It won't matter because there's still nam do san besides her and she won't be interested in hjp as long as they keep the lie. It's nam do san that thanks to the lie is getting to know the "real" dalmi, her unfiltered and free, not the charismatic woman she presents herself as in front of others, but her with vulnerabilities. It's sad really :( Even though it's hjp that wrote the letters, nds is the one benefiting in the end.
Only when the truth is revealed sdm could get to know hjp better and vice versa, (without that mentor-mentee dynamic that has tgem on different levels), even if not romantically but as old friends trying to catch up. Only then hjp couldstand a chance, but it will be too late for that because sdm would be already in love with nds :(

"But what doesn't sit right with me is when they say she should get with Ji pyung instead when he also is lying". Yes, but he's not the one trying to get with SDM, hugging her, holding her hand, touching her hair and kissing her. HJP kept his distance for the whole 6 episodes and only in ep 7 he went to SDM's house at the beginning of the ep, and then ignored her for the rest of the episode. So right now it's pretty useless comparing him with NDS who thanks to the lie gets to have sdm close. We can judge HJP, and I will (as I did with NDS even though I'm obviously teamJP), only when or if he starts making a move on SDM, and see if he does so BEFORE the truth reveal, or AFTER.

Sadly I know he's the SML and SDM will choose NDS since she will probably fall in love (or is already in love) with him :(

How childish of some of the comments to say that people "hate" on nam do san just because. Almost as if they didn't explain WHY they didn't/don't like him (idk for example kissing (the second one which he initiated) with a gilr he's lying to and he's well aware of it (hjp is also lying but he's not going out there kissing her or holding her hands pretending to be who he is not). And some people only say that they'd like hjp to be the endgame without offending nds, so i don't know what's the problem, nds will be with sdm anyway because he's the ML, so relax, not only you can have an opinion, others can too.

Personally I'd be ok with nds/sdm (the handholding, kiss, jealous act that he's been up to from ep 3), only if he came clear of the lie. A relationship based on a lie is no for me.
Also, he could have told grandma when they were alone that he'd like to tell the truth about the letters. This lie and the grandma losing sight has nothing to do with each other so there's no reason for him to continue to lie about the letters (even if hjp kinda came to stop him), he could reveal it since he's been actively deceiving her (with grandma and hjp), while the grandma going blind could be just a secret that she asked to keep from anyone and it doesn't require additional lying.
