It has not so good reviews just wondering to watch this drama or not
I'd say watch the first 2 episodes, if you like them (and you probably will, because they're great!), continue to ep 8. If at that point you like jipyeong (second lead) more then drop this drama like a hot potato. But if you like dosan and don't see any problems then probably you won't hate the ending and you can proceed peacefully until the end. If you still decide to continue despite loving more the second lead (ji pyeong), hating dosan, and start to notice some problems with the plot and characters progression..., well i guess you love torturing yourself, but anyway I'd suggest you stop at min 26 of ep 13.
Imagine if Dalmi just pretended she didn't know about the letters thing in ep 9? After comparing hjp's handwriting and the letters at the end of ep 8. Imagine her just playing dumb, that would have been pretty funny. It would also allow the viewers to see things from her pov. Because honestly? It's rather difficult to know what she's thinking throughout the drama.
I think that would have been better, even if cliche, than her being stupid for not realizing and not confronting the 2 men after clear signs of the lie. I was really disappointed in her.
Nooo I don't think that what I prefer is the ideal one xD It's just that it's my preference, I like them shorter but interesting enough to make you want to check it out, but also without the whole plot being revealed Others prefer them explanatory and might like the richness
Your introductions to the characters are pretty neat, but i like them as standalones, combining 4 of them feels too heavy imo
So, if I were to cut yours, I'd have only the first 2 paragraps:
Set in one of the world’s most advanced tech sector, “Start Up” tells the tale of the razor thin margins between ultimate success and abject failure. The story takes place in the fictional Sandbox Company, a giant incubator located in Korea that attempts to guide companies worthy to be chosen through the rigors and tribulations of creating a start up from the beginning till the end.
The journey starts from four points of views that represent different levels of the start-up process. From the pragmatic investor Han Ji Pyeong, the dreamer rookie CEO Seo Dal Mi, the calculating veteran CEO Won In Jae, and the gifted genius Nam Do San. Coming from different backgrounds, and with different motivations, the winds of fate will push these four people to cross paths in their attempt to achieve their dreams in Sandbox.
"Han Ji Pyung begins a startup company to pay off his debt. " When? + hjp is known as the gordon ramsay of investmens? That was never mentioned in the drama
So yeah soompi as the best one i don't see it They probably published it before the drama aired and didn't know the details (oh well i just checked and i was right, it's from 8th of September)
Btw, I don't really see kimsamsoom's synopsis as the perfect one because I feel like it's too long I prefer them much shorter, that gives a general idea to the story without giving away too much. In that sense I find the soompi synopsis also too long. Just my preference
Here are the things that bothered me in ep 3:- Why the brother sold off the helmet? It wasn't his to begin with,…
1. Yeah hopefully he impreves. But still it annoyed me hahaha 2. It wasn't meant to bully her absolutely, but don't forget even Joo kyung said that to her it was like what the bullies make her do I'll copypaste what I replied to another user: I know the intention, but still, after two times she doesn't get the memo that he wants to say something to her/do something nice before she runs off, an intelligent guy (and the drama established that he is smart) wouldn't continue with the charade and would just say what he wants, without making her do stupid stuff. He doesn't look like a shy guy at all, and his actions towards other people confirm this. 3. no matter the backstory, saying to a person they killed someone is a bit too much and doesn't make it okay to say that to them. He 100% wasn't directly responsible for their friend's death lol But I can excuse this point for now because it's about death and they're still highschoolers coping with it and it's normal for them to be hot tempered, but it still annoyed the heck out of me. I just rolled my eyes when he caused a scene ngl
Here are the things that bothered me in ep 3:- Why the brother sold off the helmet? It wasn't his to begin with,…
Yeah, he stops eventually, but still, him doing that when the drama established that he's smart is a bit annoying. Glad Joo kyung felt the same. If it wasn't for her he would have continued i guess and byebye character development lol
The beef between suho and seojun is still unknown i agree, but for sure it wasn't suho's fault. Yeah they are both coping with their friend's death, but that doesn't mean him making a scene in the school canteen is less stupid. Especially considering the fact that they already seem to have quarreled berfore etc. So now he saw suho taking care of a girl, and it's ok for seojun to make a scene in front of everyone. Dramatic much?
I can excuse for now these things since they're still highschoolers though, it's normal for them to be hot tempered, but yeah I undoubtedly felt annoyed at these two scenes
In the webtoon I actually liked seojun and I don't remember them making such a fuss in the beginning of it. But I might be wrong since I read the webtoon more than a year ago and don't remember much

I'm sorry but I didn't like this episode, found myself fastforwarding some parts...I'll see the next one, but…
Here are the things that bothered me in ep 3: - Why the brother sold off the helmet? It wasn't his to begin with, I know they have rivalry with his sister, but still it was stupid. Felt like a stupid plot device to create scenes and tention between her and Seojun. And it wasn't funny, I just rolled my eyes when the brother said he sold the helmet. Like cmon. - Suho making her do the little annoying tasks. I felt relieved when Joo kyung told him that it's the same as the bullies did to her, and I appreciated that he said sorry. BUT, I still find it absurd that he clearly (we know from his flashbacks) has no problem with her having a "double" face, but still makes her do these little things. He's supposed to be smart, right? - Seojun making a scene at the end. "You killed your friend and enjoying life" or something like that lmao. Tf man. As if he was the one to push him to his death or whatever. Istg the leaps of logic characters do sometimes. Reminded me of Yongsan telling HJP that he killed his brother =_=
Maybe I'm taking this drama way too seriously, but still, even if it's supposed to be comedic, I think it should make some sort of sense in context. That's why I didn't have a problem with the first two episodes, and even if there were some over the top things and cliches, they didn't bother me that much.
I'm sorry but I didn't like this episode, found myself fastforwarding some parts... I'll see the next one, but if it doesn't satisfy me I think I'll drop it
Just finished ep 1 I think I need a 2nd episode to decide if I'm liking it
Just read it!
Yep, and I usually give 2 episodes to kdramas to decide if to continue or not (sometimes more than 2 episodes if the comments for example say that after ep 3 it gets mindblowingly good or something lmao). First ep is kind of a pilot and just an introduction to the characters and the overall story, the second episode shows how the story will progress going forward and if it's done well
Got my hands full with Mr.Queen, True Beauty and Uncanny counter. I might binge after depending on comments lol
What are you liking the most so far? Out of these 3 dramas For me it's the uncanny counter, then mr queen, then true beauty Might change since the last two have only 2 eps
You said dosanaaa oh don't! Dalmiaaaa and dosanaaa, those names are poison for my ear
Lmao same They repeat it so much, "dosan-a" "dalmi-ya", that I started to get sick whenever I heard it xD especially with that annoying tone of voice. always the same
Someone please convince me to watch this. I kind of want to watch it but idk ;-;
Watch the first 2 episodes, I personally was convinced to continue after just 1 ep. Great fight scenes, the characters have working brains, and no plot holes so far. Pretty neat imo But if you don't like the first episodes then it might not be your genre I guess :)
is it common for koreans to not take the last name of their spouse? in the ending, there were CTO&CEO nameplates…
Your last question: ep 15, during the kiss, the background song's lyrics have the "saranghae" :)) Yeah the song which lyrics scream Jipyeong and letters lmaoo
Ok, after reading the comments, I think I'll consider 15th episode the ending, since it ends on a positive note!…
Also, I don't get why people got SLS or wanted Chung Myeong with Man Wol and see better chemistry between them. I mean, he's ok, but still, he didn't have many scenes with her, and those he had were just shown over and over again + he still captured her crew and watched them be killed and saw yeon woo be hanged. I mean, yes, he did it to save his people that worked with him, and also because yeon woo made him promise... But this doesn't excuse/justify him that much? I mean, ideally he should have killed himself like all the noble guys do in saeguks. Then I would feel like the resentiment man wol felt for him was unjust. Plus 1300 years and still loving the guy that you thought (for 1300) betrayed you? Nah
I'm not saying gu chan song had better chemistry with her, because cmon the hugs are too friendlish, but they still had much more meaningful moments together.
As I said when the drama ended,
My fave ships in start up are:
HJPxCeo Hong
HJPxYeongsil
HJPxPlant
If at that point you like jipyeong (second lead) more then drop this drama like a hot potato. But if you like dosan and don't see any problems then probably you won't hate the ending and you can proceed peacefully until the end.

All the sageuks I watched start great and interesting, but then somehow become boring and I can't finish them
