I have two endings for this drama
1. Minute 26 of ep 13. Dosan never comes back from SV. Hjp and Dalmi start a relationship
2. Hjp and CEO Hong Ji Seok work closely together for the orphanage, they end up connecting with one kid there (one of the bright kids that hjp asks for during his meeting with HJS). Meanwhile Hjp and Hjs get closer and closer and end up falling in love. They go to america, get married, and then adopt that kid from the orphanage.
More days pass and more I'm in love with the second option
Dalmi: i trust my choice. I never in my life regretted a choice i made
Also dalmi: signs a contract that makes her lose her job, 3 years later says that it was a mistake she made (aka she admits she regrets her choice) and doesn't want to make another one
Also dalmi: decides to not proceed with the risky business, but still not sure of her choice. Then changes her decision and proceeds with the bidding

No matter how you look at it, it still makes no sense for the mother to not have taken care at least only financially of dalmi when the dad died. She was still a minor and years away from being an adult when he died (it was like 1 year after they divorced), and even if the grandma was bitter and angry at her ex daughter in law, she should have taken the money. For the sake of Dalmi and her future. Even if she didn't want to use the money or dalmi didn't want to (they could have not told her), she could save it for the future, just in case. I understand if Dalmi was over 18 and decided to not take anything from the mom, but she was a kid, and the grandma was responsibile of the money aspect. And it makes no sense for the mom not giving (or trying to) the money to them because dalmi is still her daughter even if she chose to stay with the father.

I personally don't agree with the fact that they changed the endgame midway of the drama. I'm not here to criticize you, because I actually like reading your posts and everything! But lets get back to the discussion. Trust me I read all the threads about symbolisms, music scores, the parallels between hjp and sdm, narrative points, freaking color patterns, on twitter, on tumblr, on reddit, read all the analysis, and I can see myself that Jidal engame would just make... SENSE. If this was a hollywood movie I'd bet everything that HJP would have gotten the girl even with half the screentime HJP actually had. But I disagree that it was the writer's plan from the beginning but then they had to change everything because of NJH and his company. Yes she took 2 whole years to come up with this mess of a drama (the second half in particular). We know the script was made up to ep 8 or 10 or something and she wrote the last episodes when start-up was on air. But it doesn't mean njh's agency would let njh take NDS's role knowing he won't be endgame, the writer must have told them that she was planning a NDS endgame. If not, then NHJ would have taken HJP's role. And all the slowmos of dodal in ep 2 and the ost music, reflect this (and I wished it was just misdirection but it wasn't, sadly) What happened in my opinion is that the writer failed to deliver dosan's growth throughout the drama, which made HJP stand out more (I wouldn't have much problem with a dodal endgame IF dodal and in particular dosan had gone through some character development... which he didn't). She wanted to subvert the trope of child connection, but failed so badly it's not even funny. From ep 10 she couldn't find anything worthy with dodal... that's why I think she could came up with just cliches in the later part of the drama... piggybacking, stalking for love, touching sleeping face, touching hair, piggybacking again, i love you just because. On top of that KSH breathed life into HJP ad libbing here and there, making him more human and more lovable. It's also obvious from behind the scenes that the director really likes seonho, that might be why he payed particular attention to HJP's scenes?
Ok, I don't really like when people do it, but since I'm a veteran (ahaha) here and it's not just me plugging my fave drama on a page of a drama that I didn't watch, I'm here to say that I'm on ep 6 of The Uncanny Counter and I'm loving it. The fight scenes are *chef kiss*, and the protagonist is a freaking cutie, the plot doesn't have loose ends so far, and everyone has a brain lmao. Try 2 episodes, maybe you'll like it too, if not then it's not your genre i guess ^_^
