It was a really good plot I think after Alchemy of Souls this is the only historical drama with such unique plot and I personally liked it even more. The bromance between male leads were better than the romance and as always Kim Ji Hoon gave such an amazing performance I hope one day we'll be able to see him as main lead. Also the the ghost from well was such a diva.
I totally agree with the part "As for Lee Seung Joo (Park Gyu Young) being the real culprit, I think up until that point, people might have thought, 'No way, could it be?' But the moment with the handkerchief was probably when the certainty clicked." As the story proceeded it became more and more obvious who the villain is but I think they did it deliberately and didn't really tried to hide who the villain is because maybe they wanted to make us connect with villain instead of focusing on trying to guess who the villain could be.
It was something new that you wouldn't expect to see in a kdrama. Kdramas always try to show all good and forgiving main leads and try to portray that vengeance is bad forgiveness is good and if some character do choose violence for vengeance they kill that character by the end. Even though they killed the main lead in drama too but I think this still is a pretty big step towards some really ruthless characters with realistic emotions.
I really enjoyed this drama and I also get why everyone is saying that they made the killer too obvious with the casting but to me it felt like they started to make killer more and more obvious as the story proceeded but still after knowing who the killer might be I enjoyed the story and if they casted someone else for the role of killer then that role wouldn't have become that iconic.
why the first murder (first part of puzzle) & last murder happened?! who are they and how they were connected?!…
The first one was a journalist who printed fake news that the old lady committed arson and the last one was the mayor was was behind everything including covering the death of old lady with arson.
Also the the ghost from well was such a diva.
