It was Mio and Barcode's series, they killed it with acting, storyline - everything.
I would have to agree.

The series may have been marketed with Ta and Copper as leads, but the writers and director definitely misdirected us because at the very core, when you strip everything down to the bare, this was really Non and New’s story.

And having Barcode and Mio take on these roles was brilliant casting.
On Dead Friend Forever - DFF Mar 9, 2024
Most folks focus on Ta, Copper, Barcode, Jjay.

But can we also quickly give our man Mio some of the spotlight, too?

Setting aside whether people like or hate Tan/New, got to hand it to Mio for his acting in this finale.

The raw emotions when New was hallucinating about Non and how Mio portrayed the underlying guilt that New felt regarding abandoning Non (because I do think deep down it’s one key reason why he is doing this, he feels guilty for not having been there to protect his brother)…

… to when New finally6 goes berserk on Tee (after having been calm and calculating throughout the series) and how Mio just dialed up New’s anger coupled with anguish to portray how much he did love his brother and how blamed all these people for inadvertently destroying their family… you know how Mio understood that it was all the pent-up rage and grief that he had to show…

… to that final quiet scene where New sees Non thanking him and how Mio dialed it all down to nuanced quiet emotions.

That’s quite a range in a 5-10 minute sequence that he made believable.

He managed to make the character truly three-dimensional and not just a one-note character.

The fact that Mio has made Tan a divisive character really does show how well he did.

Good work, Mio!

can someone tell me what all happened in this ep? specifically how did the series end. I need to know if the series…
Essentially, no one leaves the house.

Well, even in Phee's hallucination, he'd still choose Jin over Non anyday.
It’s useless to argue with people who refuse to see grooming for what it is. Jenny is a victim-blamer so best to just ignore her.

Phee may have smoked the wrong one. It was implied earlier that New lied about the antidote indicator so it's…
I’m pretty sure the ending was Phee’s hallucination, not Jin’s. Only Phee saw Non, and Jin in that scene seemed “detached.” So that final act was from Phee’s POV.

Plus, between Phee and Jin, Phee is the one who’s smart enough to have recognized in earlier scene that he was hallucinating.

i am sorry but some ppl in the comments say that tee killed white. yes i agree that tee was a bad/evil character…
Tee literally killed White even if he didn’t mean to. That was his karma, to kill the person he loved the most without meaning to, and it was the most appropriate punishment for him (even more than death).

Of course, it’s unfortunate that White was the sacrificial lamb.

I know this is a dumb question but can anyone tell what BOC is ?
Be On Cloud. It ‘s the production company and they also manage these artists. Think GMMTV or Domundi.
Replying to sachapz Mar 9, 2024
I don't think they'll kill Tee. Tee is ready to die and even take a bullet for White. So death isn't the best…
Tee got the most appropriate punishment for him. He was the one who killed White (as many predicted). He will have to live with that guilt - although given the ambiguous ending, it’s also quite possible he’s already dead,
Replying to honey_moon Mar 9, 2024
Jin, phee and tee are the ones who make it out alive… white, tan, top, fluke and por are shown dead. Tee is…
I doubt Phee and Jin were “sharing” hallucinations, and since that final act was clearly Phee’s POV (he was the one who saw Non), then that was Phee’s hallucination.

So we really don’t know if Jin was also still hallucinating, or escaped, or dead.

I prefer hallucinating endlessly also if not dead. He also needs his punishment. (Tee killing White is already Tee’s punishment.)

new definitely deserves to rot in his own personal hell first idgaf nothing he did would’ve sat right with non…
I agree New needs his own punishment, but I’m also pretty sure Non wrote scripts detailing out how he wanted them to die. So I’m not 100% sure Non would’ve disagreed with New’s efforts.

What is that 2 years leap ?? If they never escaped that house?? Are they like hallucinating for 2 years now lol…
They weren’t hallucinating for two years. Phee’s hallucination was that he thought two years passed. It didn’t. And we don’t really know if Jin is also hallucinating, escaped/survived, or dead.

The hallucination was definitely from Phee’s POV because he was the one who saw Non. Jin in that final act is also a hallucination.

Am I really the only one that thinks this kinda ending is the best we can get and they did perfectly fine doing…
The way the story was going, this was the only logical way for it to end IMO. It’s a story about covering up past wrongdoings and also how revenge is also a corrupting force. None of these people are innocent except White, so the ending I think is quite fitting.

And while I would have loved for White to survive, his purpose in the story is clear. Innocents get caught in the crossfire, just like in real life. It’s a social commentary about the impact of all their actions being so destructive that innocents like White and Uncle Deng can become collateral damage.

It is a cautionary tale.

We're supposed to believe that two people shared the same hallucination for TWO YEARS? (Or if you include Tee,…
I’m pretty sure it was just Phee’s hallucination and not a shared hallucination. Essentially, we don’t really know if Jin is also hallucinating, managed to escaped, or dead.

As for White, I would’ve preferred if he survived, but I also get his purpose there. It’s to show that innocents get caught in a conflict like this, as it does in real life.

The ending doesn't make sense at all it made the show highly unrealistic like how long are they going to have…
I’m pretty sure the ending doesn’t mean they’ll forever have hallucinations in the house. It likely implies Phee is dying or perhaps even dead (assuming the ending is his hallucination and not Jin’s).

this reminds me too much of "i know what you did last summer" and I didn't like that one neither. but I'll keep…
Yes, I definitely get similar vibes although of course I would say this DFF group is way worse.

The IKWYDLS group was involved in a random accident they tried to cover up. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time and, while they made a choice to hide the hit-and-run, it was an accident in one night that no one anticipated.

The DFF group systematically bullied, framed, and drove someone into the path towards death (or so far as of Ep 11 is said to be dead, at least - who knows if there will be a twist in the finale). They deliberately and knowingly did all those things to Non through a span of weeks/months.

Do you guys really think New will die?
Personally, I’d prefer if he doesn’t die.

He does need to either be jailed or preferably placed in an asylum. As much as I would root for him because he did lose his entire family, he still has done some serious crimes by this point, so consequences are needed.

It’s clear though that he has some serious mental issues, which I suspect is genetic (see Non and also their mother), so I think committing him into an asylum might be better.

But that’s my preference.

The way the story trajectory is going, my best bet of what will actually happen is that he probably dies - either one of the others will kill him (might be Phee or Jin) or else he commits suicide.

I do still hope that before that happens, he also does get justice for his family.

what Mr.Keng did is statutory rape. Non did concent but he’s underage so ilegally he can not.
Age of consent (15 in Thailand) is different from having sex with a minor (defined as under 18 years old in Thailand).

Reference:

https://www.ageofconsent.net/world/thailand

Quote (see last paragraph of the quote):

“The Age of Consent in Thailand is 15 years old. The age of consent is the minimum age at which an individual is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity. Individuals aged 14 or younger in Thailand are not legally able to consent to sexual activity, and such activity may result in prosecution for statutory rape or the equivalent local law.

Thailand statutory rape law is violated when an individual has consensual sexual intercourse with a person under age 15.

However, sex with a minor under age 18 is a compoundable offense, regardless of consent.”

The winners of THC were promised main roles in a BOC production. They were not promised a set CP after the series…

But you do you.
