As for the ending: I'd have liked to see their wedding, as they talked about it a lot. So I thought we'd see them…
Seriously! I mean, they proposed to each other like 5 times throughout the last couple of episodes, to end with another proposal is just crap. And to not let us see if she could have his kids also made me mad, because they made such a big deal of it in the last few episodes. This drama would have been a lot better if it had been 24 episodes. Could have taken out a lot of the more boring aspects and shortened a lot of the angst.
I feel like people who really expected Eun Bi to end up with Tae Kwang were deluding themselves a bit. She never…
I couldn't agree more, Kyattchan! There were so many ways that drama could have gone that would have made it a lot more satisfying. And the writers definitely seemed to enjoy making Tae Kwang suffer. But in a way, it made his character all that much better. In terms of character growth, Tae Kwang really shined. And his life was in a much better place at the end of the drama than at the beginning. Maybe that's the message, that you don't always have to get the girl to win in the end. Or maybe I'm deluding myself to give the writers a pass :p
I feel like people who really expected Eun Bi to end up with Tae Kwang were deluding themselves a bit. She never…
I'm not saying he handled finding out the truth well. In fact, the way he reacted had me switch to team Tae Kwang. But people seem to applaud Tae Kwang's reaction to her being Eun Bi while demonizing Han Yi An's reaction, and I don't think it's fair. Eun Byul meant nothing to Tae Kwang, so her death would have little impact on him. Of course he was able to accept Eun Bi with little issue. Han Yi An just found out that his best friend was dead. We're we supposed to expect him to bake her a cake and be happy about it? That would have been absurd. I wish he hadn't been cold to her for as long as he was, but even while he was angry with her, he still constantly showed up to help her whenever he knew she needed it, even at great cost to himself.
I feel like people who really expected Eun Bi to end up with Tae Kwang were deluding themselves a bit. She never…
I don't think that is true at all. I think ever since Han Yi An figured things out, he was struggling with who he really liked. The scene where they are in the library, and he says that so much has happened and they both have changed was him finally admitting that it was that he liked Eun Bi, and that he hadn't really like Eun Byul for who she was for a long time. Cause let's face it, Eun Byul treated him, and really all of her friends, like crap. I'm not saying Han Yi An was the best romantic prospect, I loved Tae Kwang a lot more than Yi An by the end. But Eun Bi never once saw him that way, and he deserves to be with someone who feels about him the way he feels about Eun Bi.
I feel like people who really expected Eun Bi to end up with Tae Kwang were deluding themselves a bit. She never once showed any romantic inclination toward him. I'm not saying he wasn't the better choice, and that she wasn't crazy for picking Han Yi An, but to be surprised at the direction of the drama is silly. And to be honest, Tae Kwang deserves better than to end up with someone who didn't see him in a romantic light.
school 2013 isn't related to this drama whatsoever.
I don't think she was saying it was related. Simply that since School 2013 didn't have romance in it (and she dropped it at episode 9), she wasn't expecting School 2015 to have romance.
Awesome :) I hope you love it as much as I did! This drama keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly wondering how Woo Jin was going to save the day next!
Unfortunately, not really! I mean, you can tell the lead guy cares for the lead girl, but there isn't anything I'd really call romance. Still, it's totally worth watching! This drama was amazing, and that's coming from someone who refuses to watch things without romance in them.
did jin young die in this drama? I just saw a photo from the Photos tab. :( can anyone answer me. was planning…
I haven't watched it, but I read another spoiler down below from "EliKimIsMyBabo" that says he does die. It's why I just took it off my to watch list! THOUGH, it seems like he is playing twins and only one of the twins dies. Don't know if that helps or not!
I can't be the only person who hates when people use the qualifier "real" before talking about men and women. Sure, these traits are great to have, and we should all aim to be the best versions of ourselves. But I feel like giving a check list to what makes someone a "real" man or woman is dangerously simplistic. Even moreso to say that a woman has to be strong to be considered "real". I know this article is all in good fun, and I'm sure there was no ill intent. It's just something that has always bugged me, how quick we are to take away a person's legitimacy as a man or woman based on desirable relationship qualities.
I must admit, I was pretty shocked to see this pop up in my feed from MDL. I seriously question the judgment of the editors of this site for posting this, and even further question the judgement of the author for using words like "disputable" when discussing KHJ's crimes. The only take away to be had here is that if you are beautiful and famous enough, people will forgive you of anything and blindly follow you wherever you choose to lead them. If MDL had any respect towards women and victims of domestic violence in general, they never would have allowed this post to go up in the first place. Hella disappointed, here.
King of Dramas is my only Kim Myung Min drama, but he was so ridiculously phenomenal in that one, I keep meaning to add more of his dramas to my list! And I could not agree more, KoD is one of the most highly underrated dramas ever. It's a pity more people don't give it a try! It's impossible not to fall in love with the team!!
Great article :) I haven't seen anything that Choi Min Soo is in, but I do love his guest star episodes on Running Man! They are easily some of my favorites. I can't wait for more grasshopper hunting :p
As for Lee Sung Min, you should check out his role in Miss Korea! He was absolutely brilliant in that drama, I ended up loving him the most of all of the characters :)

The further I get from the ending, the less satisfied I am. It's even more frustrating, because it would have been so easy to make it satisfying for everyone. CYS didn't get enough time with her mom, and so many of the other characters didn't get even a mention in the ending. I feel like we got short changed.
This drama was amazing, but man, that ending was such a disappointment. I would have rather they cut all of the Healer "interview" scenes and just given us a more complete ending for the characters.
Wondering if to try this because I can't seem to get enough of Joo Sang Wook in Birth of a Beauty! I just might.
I had started Cunning Single Lady right when it finished airing and didn't make it past the first three episodes. But then I watched Birth of a Beauty and it made me want more of Joo Sang Wook, so I picked this up and ended up watching 9 episodes in one sitting :p It's good and he is super adorable in this drama as well!
