I stopped I couldn't finish it.. I hope my mood change.. I am really into Ae Ra and Seunng Heon ending up together..…
I am having this same problem! I like the lead guy and all, but man I really love her with Seung Hyeon! I know there is no chance they will end up together, but I feel like he is really what she needs!

I know they have an app for Crunchy Roll for the Roku, which is how stream dramas, but I didn't know they had dramas on there! Does it require a monthly fee? Thanks for the info :)
I am an unabashed Kdrama fan who has had limited success in branching out into the other types of Asian dramas. I think I could really love Tdramas, and have loved the few that I have made it through. One of the reasons that Tdramas don't get more of my attention is that as soon as I find one that sounds amazing, I start it and there is dubbing. I cannot stand dubbing. Even when I was in the throes of an intense anime obsession, I couldn't stand dubbing, and it's worse when it's real people.
I also think that with other dramas, especially Jdramas, there is less ready access to them. You mentioned that Netflix carries Korean dramas, and while they have recently started carrying a lot of Tdramas, there are almost none, if any, Jdramas. The same can be said of Dramafever. Kdramas are plentiful, whereas the others take more digging. And worse, as soon as you find one you want to watch, one that you are willing to download or even visit sketchy sites to watch, you find out that only half of the show was ever subtitled.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that other country's actors are unattractive (Hello, Mukai Osamu/George Hu, would you like to have my babies?), but I think it's definitely a fair statement to say that Kdramas are more focused on the flower boy aspect than other countries. And this isn't even necessarily a good thing. I think that Kdramas are more likely to put people on screen that have no business being there, just because they look pretty.
I think we all spend too much time bashing all sorts of things, instead of spending time focusing on the things we love or could love. I would love it if someone did an article along the lines of, if you liked this Kdrama, then you might like this T/C/J/HK Drama. Preferably one that ignores the whole remake angle, since I know I am the type of person who will constantly compare the two. Of course, there could already be an article like that on here that I have just missed :p
My guilty pleasure would have to be K-POP The Ultimate Audition. Man, that drama was so bad! And since it was cut short, the ending leaves all sorts of questions unanswered. But I loved the heck out of it! All of the dancing and singing, and gender bending. So bad, but oh so good :)
Yoo In Na is so ridiculously adorable, I almost cannot take it! In QIHM, she would do this thing when she was confused where she would sort of tilt her head and puff out her cheeks, and I would just die from cute overload. Great article :)
I'm rewatching this drama for the 13th time, and I am still just blown away by how amazing it is! The entire cast is just brilliant, and you can't help but fall in love with all of them. Especially Kim Myung Min's Anthony Kim!
Great article :) I disagree about Min Joon Gook, though. I liked that they gave us the motivation for his dastardly…
Exactly! There is nothing worse than a villain that you can't understand exactly what is driving them and making them do the terrible things they do. Someone else below mentioned John Mayer from King2Hearts, and he was definitely a paper villain to me. He had no depth, and seemed to be insane for the sake of insanity.
I am glad that I am not the only one who was amused by him! I never could work up much hatred for him, especially after the prince showed up!
Great article :) I disagree about Min Joon Gook, though. I liked that they gave us the motivation for his dastardly deeds. Too often it seems, we are given these psychopathic characters and yet we never understand what motivated them to wreak such cruel havoc on our lead's lives. It's interesting to get a glimpse into what can make a person break. Plus, it offers up an interesting contrast to how Soo Ha lived a similar life of tragedy as Min Joon Gook, but as Gun Woo says, Soo Ha had something to protect and that kept him from that same dark path!
And random, but I really loved Gi Cheol! I don't usually like villains, but he was always just so funny to me. The poetic justice of his ending broke my heart a little bit. To me, the greater miscarriage of justice was to the King's cousin. That unmitigated jack a** caused so much pain and suffering and then never got any kind of comeuppance.
I just find it hard to see that some people love younger men and older women dramas, but the minute the man is…
I have no problem with ajusshi dramas, other than their typical lack of displays of affection. King of Dramas is one of my favorite dramas, and there was a big gap between the leads in that one. But there is just something about Krystal and Rain together that just feels weird. I am just not feeling it for them.
How far did you get? I loved it throughout, but I will admit that it did get draggy for a few episodes there at the beginning. Once you get past episode 6 or 7 though, it gets really good! Once there is a team to root for, that is :)
I'm really confused. I don't know how it happened, but I ended up reading several of the awful reviews you have written. Quite a few of them make me wonder, do you not read a synopsis before starting a drama? You complain A LOT about love triangles, but almost every single one of the ones you have whined about have mentioned the love triangle in the synopsis. If you know you don't like them, then why do you watch the drama?
I just watched It's Okay, That's Love! Who was her character?
I can't remember one hundred percent, but remember the scene where they tossed rocks at a girl's window? I think that was her! She showed up later to talk to Tae Yong about what happened.
I got two friends hooked, both with Master's Sun. Now they are bother arguably more obsessed with Kdramas than I am! Another of my friends got into Kdramas with Secret Garden. It's hard to convert people into Kdrama addicts, but when it happens, it's pretty fantastic :)
I feel like the only one who doesn't mind this drama being chopped. It was funny but honestly I didn't feel anything…
I feel like they spent way too much time focusing on the "Let's get a job at JH!" aspect of the storyline, so it felt very stagnant for most of the show. There was so much more material they could have expanded on, so it was a tad disappointing. And I wholeheartedly agree that the chemistry and acting were severely lacking. It reminded me a lot of Nail Shop Paris, in terms of that. Except Nail Shop Paris was just way too ambitious and Surplus Princess wasn't ambitious enough.

I didn't start this drama until after they announced the early ending, and I was really worried when I heard about it! But now that I have almost finished the drama, I think it's the smart move. I can't even imagine how much more they could do with the story line that wouldn't just be prolonging the inevitable.
SPOILER SPOTTED: "In Sung, how he portrayed the sick man with that kind of difficult illness, it was amazing…
But the whole part of Kang Woo being imaginary is a big spoiler. At least it was for me! At the end of the episode where it panned out to show he was really running by himself, my jaw dropped. Maybe you could take that part out so that people who have not watched it will be able to be surprised as well :)

I liked and agreed with your review as well :)
