I don't know who's really suspicious here. Is it the Emperor or the aunt/master? Or both? everyone is saying that the Emperor is cruel and you can't trust him but the aunt has a very suspicious vibes, it's not so sure if the stories she told is true.

The Emperor seems also has a plan, he knows that wei zhao likes ci but agreed to the marriage of ci and yan lol. Seems like he just wants to tarnish the reputation of pei not wei zhao. He's obviously using pei yan and Jiang ci.

The delusion of Pei yan is so irritating to watch. Like dude, she said it straight on your face she don't wanna be on your side but you keep resisting her.

But what I love to the fl is even in bad terms she never think of going back to Pei yan or being against of wei zhao. She still stay and trust wei zhao the most, even if there's a doubt. I hope that it will continue like that(even if there's a doubt, she will go back on him) always stay by his side because that's what he really need.

I wonder how will the drama show Jiang ci's innocence and pureness fade after she got to know everything. I mean everyone on this drama is going through something, but Jiang ci's different she's pure, innocent and lovely. She's being dragged down and getting lie to, for their own advantage. They basically use her and her innocence. Without her knowing.

And I'm just wondering, will they show her real origin or family? She was just pick up by her master somewhere. But considering that her master has a hidden identity, maybe she also has a mysterious past or family? (or I am just watching too much angst and thriller lol) but that also has possibility and could be a plot twist in the future lol

Never heard about his personal life except that he has a wife and a child. He's really good keeping his private life, no one sees them together and even after years no one knows about his private life. Fans just know that he's a family man and a great actor lol

I just watch the trailer again and I realize that this is angst. I mean unlike AYTO and PR and other cdrama this year I know that this would literally be angsty. It's ren jialun's drama, so the angst here is serious. And I fear that the ending would be sad:((

(I'm actually waiting for the angsty part, I want the thrill and the consequences of their actions) I love light and romance drama, but the impact and thrill of a literal angsty drama hits different

I just started watching this because of allen ren, but i just want to appreciate the beauty of the fl. she's so cute and adorable, I love her cheeks and eye. Whenever she do cheeky things I smiled with her lol. Her acting suits her and doesn't look force, she do her acting naturally. (it's my first time watching her and she really got my attention)

I think the fl was adopted to marry the other brother. That's her purpose in that family

This drama is good and I enjoyed watching this as a comfort drama. But I actually expected this to be more angsty, like there would have been a fight between the leads as enemy, to the point where they point their sword to each other(lol, I'm such a toxic romantic) as this has the potential of bit of forbidden love and enemies to lovers trope. And there's a lot of questions leave hanging such as ziyu's backstory and miantang's as lu wen, I thought I will see more of her savageness. But I also think that 40 episodes isn't enough for a cdrama to make it more angsty and answer those plothole. Overall I love the chemistry between the leads and ZWY's role and acting is such a top tier, will always love his facial expression lol.

I find the story of li chuan and qin Zhen Zhen interesting. I actually want to see more of their story both past and present lifetime. But they didn't have much more screen time, would have been better if they got more, than su rong qing who's literally annoying.

I wonder if miantang is really from a low class family. I mean they still don't show her paternal side, though they did mention that her paternal side has a financial problem(?) but that might be an excuse she used. Or did I miss something?

right, I feel like she's not just an ordinary character who admire ziyu. There's something in her that's why ziyu chose her. Now that she's an empress we will see the more of her

Is the newly appointed empress a good or bad character? Will she harm the fl or ml later? Like joining ziyu for evil plans. I just hope she will be a good one, miantang and her can be good friends and allies. I'm sick of girls vs girls because of jealousy

Gwiju doesn't do proper family planning aren't he? He was mentally unstable raising ina and he got da hee pregnant when he knows he will be gone. His poor children, lol

Fr. It would have been better if the fate connection started when they finally met, not when he's still with his wife and she's still a teenager.

Why people wants a revenge to CXZ?? I mean yes he terribly lie at her and in the early times he used her. But he never mistreated her in their fake marriage. He acted like a real husband and cared, he never let her felt like she was left alone in their marriage. They were actually really happy in their fake marriage. He even slept by her side in the first days of his lies, lol. He never did her wrong as a fake husband. He is such a good one. And now he genuinely fell for her. He deserves to be held accountable for all the lies he did to her, but not to the point of vengeance and hatred. First of all, he saves her life and treat her injuries. Any ruthless lord would never do the same. I'm not justifying his actions, but he don't deserve some of you guys wants as his punishment.

Will they have kids? What chapter in the novel though?
