Nene is just so blinded by her hatred right now, but seeing her full backstory, it's hard not to have sympathy for her. The lie that inflicting your pain on others will help yours go away has caused many people to go down similar paths (in fiction and real life). It's sad because you know Rak would love her as a sister if she knew about the situation. The pacing and character development of this story is really well done imo. Other Thai gls can start to bore me when they stray away from the leads, but Us has kept me interested in everyone. And I fear our hearts are going to be broken for them all soon.

Hello, can someone tell me if Bonnie's acting is better in this series?? That's the main reason I didn't start…
I haven't seen Bonnie in her other roles, but she has impressed me. Her character has a lot of depth and she really delivers in the emotionally charged scenes. Us is very similar to Pluto in many ways, but it really seems to have refined a lot of things that Pluto both did well and not as well. One of the big reasons why I enjoy it more than Pluto is the side characters are more meaningful to the main story. Honestly I liked Pluto but the script annoyed me sometimes, and I've yet to feel like that with Us. The GL trope of a male character being needlessly inserted into a forced love triangle is something I'm tired of too. It's hard to explain without being too spoilery, but while the character is important to the plot, the love triangle aspect is practically a non-factor. Something is revealed at the end of ep 1 that changes the perception of the series, compared to how the trailers made the story appear.

View and Min really steal the show, I love Oat's character so much, they add a more grown-up vibe to this series'…
It's kind of a role reversal for View when compared to her pairing in 23.5, and she does both sides of this dynamic so well. We already see Nene fighting with herself related to her scheming, and she often forces herself to recall the bad memories to rebuild her resolve. Mim's acting in that scene with Rak's mother was so powerful. I hope we get to see Nene open up more to Oat soon.

This series is locked in on every level right now. Gorgeous cinematography. Perfect diegetic and non-diegetic integration of music. A deep cast meaningfully woven into the story. An appropriate mixture of humor and seriousness. And of course the amazing leads with chemistry so compelling that they only need to be standing next to each other for you to feel it coming through the screen. That flirting and tension throughout ep 6 was something else. I usually try not to compare series to each other, since everything has its strengths and weaknesses, but for me right now, Us is setting the standard for the genre.

I think this time, Nene is more focused on hurting P'Kawi. For me, it seems like she believes that targeting Kawi,…
I hope she is not that evil, because I want to like her. I have also wondered if Kawi was her focus because of some unrevealed event involving her family. But I really thought she was just bitter that her father destroyed her family while his family got to have a happy life, and she wants to bring bad fortune to them all. She can certainly succeed in making Rak and Kawi miserable, but I still don't yet see how she can get to the dad.

I feel like Nene has it all wrong. Someone so heartless to openly cheat on his wife, kick his daughter out of the house for defying his wishes, and control every detail of his children's lives, won't be humbled by indirectly hurting people close to him. He would disown Rak or Kawi without second thought. He doesn't apologize or feel guilt for his actions. He decides who lives and dies without hesitation. I'm really curious what the end game is here? I don't see how Pam dating Rak leads to glorious revenge. But, maybe I'm just not giving her enough credit for this secret scheme.

hmm but Rak doesn't know about Pam revenge yet
but I'm guessing she is causing Pam think about her hatred for their family, and what it all means now. Rak is only thinking about the drawings and Kawi, but there's another layer for Pam. It's a scene that can be interpreted differently depending on which character's perspective you are looking from, which makes it so compelling

When Rak was begging Pam to punish her if she must, as long as she will not hate her, for Pam, it had a double meaning. She is not upset about the postcards, but she IS on a revenge mission against Rak's family. Rak is unknowingly drawing a line in the sand for Pam. Do you hate my family enough to hate me too? Pam can't yet use words to express what is lingering beneath the surface, so all she can think to do in the moment is to kiss Rak.

i usually don't like the drunk scene which is in 99% of GLs but this one i can absolutely support. Rak saying…
I think writers like to use it because time to tell a story is limited, so it provides an easy way for the characters to explore unresolved feelings when the story itself is not ready to fully bring them together. It can definitely be a sign of lazy writing, but I think it was implemented thoughtfully enough in this episode. Dokrak even pulled away after the initial kiss, which signalled to me she was fully aware of herself and her actions. and I guess it was kind of an accident that they ended up together that night in the first place.

Me at the end of Ep 1/4 - well here we go again, gmmtv sure loves their false identity love triangle gl trope
Me at the end of Ep 4/4 - ok, now I don't know this is

Beautiful first episode, incredible chemistry. That shot where Rak meets Pam, and a single tear falls from her eye, took my breath away.

What Pluto did really well was present a unique story in an interesting way. The flashbacks brought real insight into the characters, which allowed me to understand what motivated their actions (even when I disagreed with them). They could have focused more on the melodramatic side of the plot, but wisely focused on the interpersonal issues and complications. Actually the series did such a great job showing all sides, this was the first GL that I actually could have understood if they didn't end up together. NF delivered in the most emotional scenes. A finale isn't supposed to be (and rarely is) the best episode of a series, so I don't fault Pluto for the fact that ep12 was a little flat. Things felt a bit rushed, but for me the major issue was Oom's arc in the last two episodes. It's cool that the series brought attention to the topic of universal design. Certainly one of my favorites of "2024" from start to finish.

i honestly think oom and may overreacted and they just throw the word 'love' around carelessly. may met ai for…
Ai did the same thing when she freaked out when May said she was her love at first sight, which really shouldn't have been a big deal since May was supposed to think she was Oom. If they both weren't so preoccupied with feelings of jealousy and inadequacy toward each each other, Oom probably never breaks up with May in the first place. Although we now see Oom is more even more damaged and emotionally immature than Ai, so perhaps it wouldn't have lasted anyway šŸ’€ but I don't think May is the same as the Ai/Oom, because even though Ai was her first crush, she didn't fall for her until she saw her true character.

I really loved this episode. We needed to get all the trauma out so it was just the medicine we had to swallow to hopefully move forward at last. As cursed episode 11s go, this is the best I’ve seen. I like how it showed that everything is about perspective and it’s better to work to understand each other than jump to conclusions and internalize pain.

But ok it’s like, I understand Oom, but it’s hard for me to feel sorry for her. She pushed May to love Ai because of her own insecurities and then went to Paul who she never loved. And it’s hard to feel sorry for Paul since he knew what he was getting into. You aren’t entitled to someone’s love just because you love them.

I do think their backstories are well written, especially Ai's. I watched the episode again and enjoyed it more the second time. Something still feels a bit off but maybe it's just me not liking stories with too many secrets kept for too long

I've never been so conflicted with show. The acting is so beautiful and I enjoy their chemistry. Namtan needs to win all the awards next year. The cinematography makes it lovely to watch. The story is so interesting... but the way it has unfolded really makes it hard for me fully enjoy their love. I understand making flawed characters who don't always make the best choices. But, bad choices should still make sense in some way. I don't feel the writing does these characters any favors by making them so stubbornly bad in all their decisions.

In a sense, I'm glad we don't have the same old toxic anger period like we so often see in dramas, but I agree that it seems they are mishandling the emotional impact of those events. I'll withhold judgment until I see how the next episode plays out. Meanwhile, Ben is probably thinking, "I'm so sorry the worst thing that ever happened to me is complicating your love life."

like you said we have basically nothing to work with, but I'm going to say it's when Jan told Pang that people shouldn't be with someone they aren't in love with or who doesn't actually love them. Pang probably felt that Jan might be someone who could understand her. I think they could have improved the pacing, less time with Ton and all the stuff with May's father, and they could have added more substance to this side story
