Ai and May really must be made for each other because they both keep making very questionable choices. And the preview shows how Ai will try to "solve" it next week. But I like that it's not about them being angry with each other, and more feeling guilty for their actions while trying to navigate their love around all these unfortunate events (even though it's these events that also pull them together too). Still, as so often happens, a lot of these issues could have been partially or even mostly solved with a 10 minute conversation 3 or 4 episodes ago. Thank you Jan for disclosing everything to Pang, so maybe we have a chance that Pang will talk some sense into her friend again.

I think at first KN liked how Anueng loved her without pretense or even knowledge of her status, and then felt closer to her once she started to see their shared experiences. she was someone who thought she could never love anyone, so it kind of fits that love would find her from an unexpected place. The overall arc of the relationship and how they communicated and supported each other, is actually my favorite part of Blank, especially compared to other series I've seen this year. But yeah, if someone's not feeling the Anueng character, it's going to be hard to like the series, since you have to care what happens to her. Season 2 Anueng will still be young and naΓ―ve and impulsive, but I think it's pretty fair to say that in the second season they are just like any other GL couple trying to overcome their emotional hurdles and external pressures to be together

Finally finished season 1 and I was not a fan. I'm not convinced about Nueng's affection for Anueng as for most…
It's interesting, because I never quite understood the childish complaint. It feels like she does a few purposefully exaggerated things in the first few episodes to get a response from Khun Nueng, but otherwise is pretty normal for a character in a TV show. I actually felt Anueng was an incredibly well written character. are you saying you weren't convinced about the affection since you see Anueng as annoying and not lovable or do you just not see the chemistry between them? I feel like if you made it this far not liking it, maybe you should try season 2? It's really good, and does have a bit of a different feel to it, which might alter your perspective on the first season.

Title Pluto Spoiler
On the day they went to the Planetarium, May meets and falls in love with Ai while she is pretending to be Oom, who rescues her from bullies. The bullies retaliate against Oom, thinking she was Ai. Oom makes Ai promise to make it up to her one day, which she eventually cashes in by sending Ai to May. Everything that happened is because of that one random decision Ai made to steal Oom's school uniform. But, if that never happens, May and Oom are probably never together, and Ai would never have a chance to meet May again. On the other hand, perhaps May never takes that case and Oom and Paul never have the accident πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜

that all sounds reasonable to me. I wasn't sure how to feel about Oom until this episode, but now I do feel bad for her. but also Ai who is caught in the middle without really having done anything hurtful to anyone.

Title Pluto Spoiler
In light of all that was revealed in ep8, I'm trying to figure out why Oom waking up is going to have earth shattering consequences for Ai/May. May already knows everything. Oom already knows everything. Even Ploy knows. The only one in the dark is Ai. I disagree with May's recent approach to things, so it's possible her concealing the truth might backfire for her. or is it going to be the fallout from May's connection to Oom's accident?

It seems like Oom truly loved May, and probably sensed that May never fully loved her, hence her insecurities throughout the relationship. When she finds out about the mistaken identity of "their" first encounter, everything clicked for her. Even at her worst behavior in this episode, I felt like I could still understand what Oom was going through.

but what I really want to know is - what was Oom's intent in sending Ai to break up with May? Was it a final cruel measure of revenge for May breaking her heart? But, they were already broken up, so was it actually her way of finally giving her sister over to May?

It's a different actress. There's a cute behind the scenes picture with the "4 nuengs" on the beach, but I can't find it

May loves ai a little bit too much. She waited for years and finally got her as a partner even though ai is cosplaying…
Here I thought no one could touch ai-oon's down bad levels. I may need to rethink the calculations πŸ€”

So did May not realize that Oom was a twin until that day Ai-oon showed up? That revelation really changed the whole meaning of their first encounter. Also, does May just accept Kosol's actions towards her? It doesn't seem to bother her that much that Ai's friend is the reason she's blind, and she's more concerned with Ai forgiving her for whatever role she played in the accident (which we still don't fully know). I have to feel that more information will come out to show it's not May's fault, because I don't see how you can be with a person who played a role in something like that. Things are getting so complicated. They couldn't just have one day to be happy in love.

I get why they had to take extra time with the script. The plot is intricate and there's a lot of nuance that needs to be handled properly to make all the characters' motivations and actions believable and relatable. Seems like it paid off. So often it's the chemistry of the main couple that keeps a series afloat, while the story is just an afterthought to get them together and move the plot. With Pluto, everything works together so seamlessly, with the story progression, supporting cast, and of course the power of NamtanFilm. I hope the last 5 episodes can maintain this quality, because it seems we have something really special here.

Girlie actually has NO intention to hide it. Even in the novel both of them were damn obvious
I think I was just traumatized by the Ongsa/Earth subplot of 23.5

Ai-oon keeps saying, "they day we met," forgetting that was the day SHE met May but not Oom. It kind of bothered me that she still hasn't told May the truth, but I just stopped caring about it since she's doing such a bad job hiding it anyway. I know we are in for craziness ahead, but I really liked the grounded inter-personal drama of the first 6 episodes and how it took time to develop the characters.

Is Ploy really wrong about Ai/Oom? She not fully looking out for May's best interests. Sure, from the viewer perspective, we sense May is not so naive, but still. I actually really liked Ploy's character and hope we see more of her, and that Ai can climb that wall to win her trust.
Was I the only one that felt like all the personalities changed to the point that they were practically different characters? When Asami showed up and immediately starting sexually harassing people, I didn't know how I was supposed to respond lol. I liked it well enough, though. An unambiguously happy ending can cover up a lot flaws for me. But, honestly I will always wonder what could have been if season 1 was written better. I did appreciate how they didn't fall into the tired trap of spending half of the final episode with a redemption arc for Fuyu's mother, just giving her parents 10 seconds of screen time (even if it was for an unearned change of heart).

Just like with the other GMMTV GL this year, the fun chemistry is hard to enjoy when you know one person is lying to the other about their identity for far longer than they should. I know it's a common trope but still sort of unsettling.

Even though it was in the trailer, that shot when Jattawa walks past Four to avoid bumping into her is really powerful. Unfortunately, its impact is diminished by how you couldn't feel the stakes as things rushed to the end. Yeah... interesting choices for a finale. I actually don't even understand how her father turned back time, but Wa still remembered everything. Perhaps it was a troubled production and they did their best within the limitations they had. I still think the first 5 episodes are quite strong. Also - I know everything works out happily but am I the only one who is filled with existential dread over the thought of starting over with someone you already have 10 years of memories with???

Well, it kinda ended up working against them, if anything, due to reactions like yours, so the clickbait comparison doesn't exactly fit. But, I won't say you're 100% off base either, since the writer of the source material is known to push certain themes that cause controversy (even though the series made changes to deal with much of that). Hard to say, but you might get along better with other wlw content if you are still interested. Seems we have different perspectives so I won't suggest anything 😭 In all fiction you'll often see elements of controversial stuff for the purposes of storytelling, and GLs are no different than any other genre. Although since it's just starting to become more popular in the past few years, there might not be as much variety yet. Hope you can keep an open mind and let me know if you find something

I mean, I won't deny I said to myself "what even is this" when certain revelations about the family dynamics came to light in Ep 4. No one is disputing the taboo nature of the plot. It's the point of the story. I felt the plot and characters engaged with it realistically, but you think it's not a story worth telling. Plenty of people feel the way you do, so I doubt I'll ever change anyone's mind. I'm sure there's enough non-porn resembling media out there for people to enjoy... maybe πŸ˜‹

Most of what you have written, besides the age gap, is either false are a mischaracterization. Obviously you have no interest in watching, but the story really does a good job with seemingly outrageous plot. Some people had a similarly bad impression, but changed their mind after seeing how things actually played out in the series. I personally felt the writing navigated the taboo aspects of the plot really well, and it never once came across to me as sleazy. Of course tastes vary. Some people think any age gap is distasteful. I can find certain things in shows that many people love way too toxic to enjoy. If they removed the complicated relational entanglements and the age gap romance, it would be a completely different story. It certainly would have made it less controversial but I admit it's hard for me to accept since the result we got was so close to perfect (in my view).
