If Hajime is not in love with Rei I'll be extremely disappointed because I swear it seems that's what the drama wants us to think but at the same time not wants us to think lol. Also they have more unresolved sexual tension than Rei+Rina and Hajime+Rina. XD
I thought casting for the other main characters could have been better but I definitely fell in love with Suzuki Jin's Uenoyama. <3 I watched the anime few years ago and I think the drama did a good job as well, cinematography was really nice and I still feel the last song syndrome with Melody Lane even though I finished watching the drama 3 days ago.
At some point, I really expected that Kazuki will regain his strength towards his TM peptide. I didnt even expect…
Yeah, I was also hoping Kazuki will finally get out of that muddy stream before things get much worse (like what happened to Kashiwagi), but unfortunately that wasn't the case. :( He doesn't even deserve to suffer that much because he was really a good person who was only pushed to the dark side because of the truly evil people around him (like the professor). And I totally get what you mean!! I totally keep thinking to myself how Sasaki Nozomi and Renn look so aesthetically good together here as Tomo-chan and Kashiwagi, and it's not even a romance drama! XDDD I think because they both have this mature but cute aura around them and they're both so gorgeous lol??
I cried watching the last episode despite barely understanding anything. Felt really bad for Kazuki because he was originally a very good person. :( I hope he can start all over again. And I'm relieved Kashiwagi and Tomo-chan seem to have ended up together (and that Yoko-chan didn't die because I like her) because I'd feel really sad for Kashiwagi too if Tomo-chan only has feelings for Kazuki until the end. It was such a good and high-quality drama, I hope more people will get a chance to watch it. P.S. The scene with Kazuki reaching for the TM-peptide with bloodied hand reminds me so much of that scene in Death Note before Kira died, at least here Kazuki still has the chance to make everything right (pun not intended) again.
Just gonna mention here that this is a spoiler for the manga. Likely will only be revealed in like 4-5 more episodes…
Right! After it was revealed in the manga I had to reread from the start and was like "it totally makes sense but I didn't see that coming" lol. XD I think the drama is aiming for that surprise too that's why the drama's official accounts just credit Suzuki Jin as "Akkun". Although MDL already put the character's full name so some non-manga readers might have gotten some hint already?? ^^;;

Agree with RandomUsagi, this is one of the biggest twists in the manga (or actually the biggest??), I was so surprised when I read it that I wanted to erase it from my brain (I read the manga few months before the drama was announced) just so I can have that genuine surprised feeling again once it's shown in the drama so don't read above spoiler if you didn't read the manga and would like to enjoy the surprises and misunderstanding to the fullest. XD
I was genuinely scared of Kazuki in ep7. denggggg. So all these time, the first scene from ep1 were all of his…
Waaah I had a hunch he knew about it because he looked so calm in the first episode while something was burning in the background but I didn't expect he set it up on his own. o_o
Wasnt their kiss is the usual trope for jdrama? xD but I agree tho. On the other side I think it came more realistic…
Definitely agree, all the kiss scenes I watched of him so far look so natural that sometimes I have to cover my eyes while watching HAHAHA! Renn's specialties are definitely doing kiss scenes and being eccentric. XD Same, I also didn't think there'd be a love triangle, at first I was convinced that Kashiwagi didn't like Tomo-chan romantically. ^^;;;;;; I think Tomo-chan has somewhat really started liking Kashiwagi, but it might be because she's reminded of the pure Kazuki (e.g. being devoted to research) in Kashiwagi at the moment... *_* No matter what, I'm hoping for a happy endng for all of them!! Just two more episodes to go waaah!

Hahaha yes, exactly!! It made me laugh a little because I was reminded that "ah yes, this is how kiss scenes are normally done in Jdramas" after all those kiss scenes in Love Phantom. XD Yeah I also think it's for the sake of protecting his research and also maybe as a revenge against the chairman. ;_; But Yoko is a really good girl so I'm hoping they can be happy together somehow (I'm kind of scared that she might die or something).
Ngl Kashiwagi and Tomo-chan's kiss scene in episode 6 almost made me laugh because it's so tamed compared to Renn's kiss scenes in his previous drama (Love Phantom). XD On another note Kazuki has become really scary. O_o;
I didnt know that this show is only limited for subscribers. But the production of the show deserves a spot for…
Really feeling sorry for Kazuki too, just when his dreams are starting to take form, he gets entangled in all these mess. T_T I also expected Kashiwagi to be the bad guy for a couple of more episodes but was surprised that he went against the professor already. I'm really way too invested now haha!

Yeah, I think only when someone has NHK BS Premium subscription can they watch it in their TV. But yes, it's such a shame because the production, the cast, and the story are really good! I also like Renn's angry scene in episode 5, it's so refreshing haha!!! What a twist that Kashiwagi seems to be the first one to try and get out from the white muddy stream while Kazuki just sinks deeper and deeper huhu! Each episode is so jampacked!
I initially watched this for Renn but now I'm very invested haha! A lot of things are happening in each episode, I think it's a shame that this is not being broadcasted all over Japan but instead is limited to NHK premium subscribers only. I hope more people will get to watch this drama since it's very educational and interesting!
Yes, I believe there are only 8 chapters, the manga is very short and episode 5 of the live-action actually includes a lot of scenes not in the manga (which I'm very thankful for haha!).
