dont know about viki but on many websites i have noticed this thing that the episodes mentioned here are less…
Korean TV does not allow adverts in the middle of an episode. So what happens is they will break 16 1 hour episodes, into 32 30 minute episodes then screen two episodes back to back. That way they can slip adverts in between the two episodes.
the ml is a great actor but for me he is not the type to play a hard cold man. His apperance is just to sweet,i…
How can you ship the 2ml with a woman who looks identical to his sister and who also has a crush on his actual sister? What happens if they have sex, is he gonna fantasize about his sister? The 2ml was all kinds of creepy.
This is a good drama. I liked it overall. The main couple is cute. The 2nd lead Jiang Xue was so annoying. She…
I am the opposite. At least the 2FL was honest with her actions. The brother was a stereotypical "Nice Guy" (quotation marks intended), so he annoyed me much more than the 2FL.
Ending; This is the issue with Chinese dramas. They like to resolve things in the last 10 minutes and it always feels damn unsatisfying. But since there is a Season 2 coming hopefully it will not be about them breaking up, getting back together, breaking up, getting back together, etc.
I love this show. BUT I really dislike the brother. At least the 2FL is honest about her motivations. The brother is a "NICE GUY" who only briefly thinks about who he hurts before he moves on to do more "Nice Guy" stuff.
ML rushes to friend’s rescue and gets injured. It makes friend feel a little guilty and it’s a wake up call…
From what I remember, ML told a lie that destroyed his friend's family (I think his parents ended up committing suicide because of the lie). This is also why the ML does not like lies.
It’s because she has bad news 2 years ago. After she broke up with her boyfriend of 10 years+, she dated a man…
I am not a fan of those who participate in an affair, BUT I am a firm believer in that the person who is the actual cheater deserves the lion's share of the blame/censure since they are the ones who made the decision to cheat. So the fact that she is the one receiving all the blame just smacks of sexism and double standards. Going from what I have watched from Thai Dramas laying all the blame on the female for a cheating husband seems the norm there.
Now I am not here to defend Matt (I am only here because I was curious why she had no new dramas after "My Love from the Stars") as like I said, I do not like those who participate in affairs, I just really do not like that she seems to be the one attracting most of the censure.
I disagreed, the male lead is a mature professional actor. How much intimacy depends on script and the director's…
It is expected in most asian dramas, even Korean ones (though Taiwanese seem to be the exception) that the female romantic lead NOT respond too much during kissing or other PDAs. Blame this more on the directors than the actresses. Though of course it does not help that they are expected to stay lip-locked for ages as the cameras take shots from multiple angles, but again it is rarely because of the actress.
I absolutely loved the drama. It was well paced and the romance wasn't rushed at all. This is one of those plots…
I did not find the lead "too cold", but for a character supposed to be emotionally flat, she was way too emotional when interacting with the male lead, even in the first few interactions with him. It made her come across as inconsistent. FFS she was more emotional with him in the first two episodes than with every other character combined.
5 reasons to watch "To Love To Heal":- Not your typical rom com: The male lead is a sweet, gentle and hard working…
um, strangely (and bemusingly); "The male lead is a sweet, gentle and hard working CEO, not the typical arrogant jerk chaebol" seems to be a statement said about EVERY CEO main character. I am three episodes in and I think he very much is a "typical arrogant jerk". I am guessing that it takes him "falling in love" with the female lead to turn him into a "sweet, gentle CEO" lol
Min AND Pooklook are my favourite two Thai actresses (Pooklook slightly edging Min out for the top spot). And you are saying the endgame romance does not happen with either? Might just give this a miss then. I was looking forward to a drama with my two favourite Thai actresses too but it would be too frustrating if neither are endgame.
WARNING: It's highly addicting. You won't be able to wait for Sundays to come.I had some qualms about it at first,…
I am up to episode 3 and the Male Lead is one of my most disliked leads ever. He is so stalkerish and arseholish that he would not be out of place in a Thai revenge Lakorn. And to be honest much like the love of rapist characters in Lakorns (on this site) bewilder me; the love for this domineering, controlling stalker also bewilders me. What is bloody sweet about stalking? He deliberately sets out to make her homeless to trick her into moving into his apartment ffs. THIS IS NOT ROMANTIC, this is a warning to get a restraining order fast.
it gets better. It took me 2 tries ans i love this show. I'm watching the 2nd time. I like the comradery and the…
I generally take any criticism of female characters or actresses on here or reddit with a grain of salt. I am not sure if it is because the demographics of the english speaking audience skews heavily female or for some other reason but male characters seem to be always idolized (even if they are a rapist in a Thai Lakorn) whilst female characters seems to attract negativity just for daring to be the romantic interest of an attractive actor's character.
I do believe its the same actor. I also have the same questions. So i ended up concluding that its an open ended…
I was not so much replying to you directly as to the thread but I forgot this is a comment section and not a forum. I apologise if it came across as targeted. I am a firm believer in the idea that EVERYONES opinion is just as valid as my own even if I disagree.
For acting I feel most actors are ok, but if I see an actor struggling at certain things I will call them a bad actor. I felt the husband really struggled in the scenes where he was supposed to be angry,
In this thread I felt the ending was being called "open-ended" in regards to the explanation as to whether the family is real or not. It is pretty much closed in this regards. It is open-ended as to whether she gets with the guy and starts a family, but it definitely was not open-ended in regards to explaining what had happened. And this is the reason I prefer the Korean version to this. In the Chinese version her kids do not exist (and really can not exist), in the Korean version, those kids do exist and she finds them again. The kids WERE her primary catalyst for change and it feels empty in this version that they would turn out to be dreams. To be honest I never really felt she had this great love for the husband in this version, but she definitely loved those kids. So the ending where only the husband turns out to be real comes across as pretty flat.

I find the Korean version by far the superior version, not least because of the ending in this. To be honest, I can not see how anyone can interpret this as an "open ending". It is quite clearly a closed ending that is saying basically that it was all a dream.
On top of that, for the most part, I feel the Korean actors & characterizations were better. The female lead in this was fantastic (imo), but the both actor playing her husband and the actual character of her husband were bad. And the dubbing issue never helps with Chinese actors who are already weak.

If you like "Boss & Me", I recommend "About Is Love"; "Girlfriend", "My Dear Lady"; "Way Back into Love (2020) & "Lucky's First Love'
