Do you think the male lead qualifies as one of those "incel" men (a toxic masculinity community calling themselves…
eh, This is a Chinese Drama. Almost every Male lead in a Cdrama would be an "incel" if not for the fact that are all CEOs with lots of money lol. Though I do think the label "incel" is just the latest Murican word for "virgin". It seems to be used as an insult in the exact same way that only 16 year old kids would use "virgin". But Muricans gotta Murican I guess.
Not defending the ML here as he was a terrible character.
Do they really expect me to believe that after 6 years gap from the workforce she struggles to get any job but…
Have you watched many Korean/Chinese/Taiwanese dramas? If there was no CEOs with unqualified secretaries/personal assistants, the TV industries in all three nations would reduce their output by 50%
I'll just catch you up on what you missed- My first thought after he got the secondary bout of amnesia I was in…
apparently from reading the comments here - from episode 12-18. I am up to episode 11 so far and am seriously considering skipping those SIX episodes as like you i do not want to deal with the frustration of one (or both) leads being morons during this plotline (somehow in amnesia plotlines characters always seem to lose intelligence as well as memories)
I'm on ep. 14 and he's lost some memory again. How long does this go on now.? It get a little old. There was way…
is there "noble idiocy" during the time he loses his memory a second time? If so what episode does the noble idiocy get resolved? I do not really mind an "amnesia" plotline, BUT I really dislike it when it comes with a "noble idiocy" plotline. Prefer to skip that junk.
It is driving me crazy , is Kido Gao voice dubbed in this show , it just doesn't seem to fit
It is a Chinese Drama. That means that almost always the voices have been dubbed by voice actors. This is why Chinese Dramas always sound the same. Who you hear and who you see are almost never the same person
The female character even inner monologues to herself that she has Stockholm Syndrome lol. This is a bad show in almost every metric BUT it is "The Room" style bad so it is constantly unintentionally amusing.
I cant believe people are watching this till the end, like, I feel like watching some lousy video assignment edited…
I can not say this is a good drama. It is not even a mediocre drama. This is straight up bad. the 6.5 rating it has on this site is massively over-rating it. BUT this is like a trainwreck. You just keep watching it. This drama is soooo bad it becomes an amusing watch. The reason (imo) people are watching this is the same reason people enjoy the famously bad movies like "The Room" or "Plan 9 from Outer Space".
Pulled a few all nighters to finish this. I loved it. The main leads had great chemistry. I loved their romance…
I am up to episode 10 and there is no ROMANCE whatsover between anyone, so I certainly have not been able to see any chemistry. Especially since not only is there no romance, the main leads have very little interaction with each other so far. So I am guessing the "romance" does not happen until the last 10 episodes. I so very much wanted to like this, I thought the leads had the potential to be great together, but when you have a romantic drama with NO romance at all for the first 10 episodes it is hard to stay invested.
from the synopsis said he was engaged to be married. Did he not get married and does he love her fiancée?
He gets engaged 10 episodes in to the female Lead's best friend. He does not love her (and told her so) but she loves him and he needs a wife so they get engaged. There is absolutely no romance in this "romantic drama" up to episode 10. Maybe there will be romance in later episodes but so far it has been barren. Romance involving anyone, even side characters, would be a step up.
FFS I am up to Episode 9 and there is NO ROMANCE at all between the main leads in this so-called "Romantic Drama". There is not even a one-side crush. This is so dull and boring so far.
Ok, finally finished it. I recommend skipping the first 9 episodes and starting from episode 10. The leads barely interact in those first 9 episodes and they are rather dull. It picks up in 10 and the interaction between the leads picks up and the show becomes interesting.
I am having problems with the soudtrack as well (very cringe for me to listen, and these are very bad tracks,…
kissasian has much better audio (without those annoying music tracks) BUT episodes 17, 18, 19 on kissasian have crap subs, so you are stuck with the youtube versions for those three episodes
Lusi is going to be a rom-com queen of new generation. Looking at her facial expression already make me laugh.
I really enjoy her screen presence, and she is one of my favourite Chinese actresses; but I have only been able to watch a couple of her romcoms since the vast majority of her work seems to be historicals. Not a fan of historicals (Tiger and Rose an exception, though even that was only tolerably because of Lusi for me).
I don't know why people bother about the age gap, I think the choice of the main actors was perfect for this drama.
I do not mind age gaps (no matter which is older) as long as they convincingly sell the romance. But I have noticed that North Americans tend to have a lot of hangups in regards to who should be allowed to date who (with age gaps just being one of many things that bother them in couples)
