I really do not like Chinese-Taiwan partnered stuff. It always lacks the charm of Taiwanese stuff whilst having the drawbacks of Chinese stuff (the dubbing issue). I like Chinese dramas, just not at the expense of Taiwanese dramas.

This is a movie I feel had a lot of potential but just never lived up to it. The cast was great but outside of the two leads the other characters were just cardboard cut-outs. The story felt disjointed in a way, sometimes feeling like it was just jumping to get a plot point over with (their reconciliation especially felt this way).

Title The Player
Is this one of those shows where the female character is surrounded by multiple male characters who are all better than her in some way and she has no bond with any female character? Another words, a dudebro show (ala Avengers). The synopsis and cast list certainly seem to point that way.

The sad thing is, that reading through the comments of a lot of Thai Dramas, there is still a high number of commenters (a lot of them women) liking and supporting the rapist characters.

I went to High School in two countries (New Zealand and Australia), and to be honest, I do tend to find American High Schools (and Universities) as depicted in their Media to be fairly alien, but yeah the maid thing (and how she just meekly accepts being told to go fetch cans of soft drink because "she is his maid" made Americans schools seem not weird lol. I have seen the maid thing make an appearance in Korean dramas also, so it made me wonder if it was a cultural thing.

I ve started watching this drama till the ep 13, and then I knew that it was with these guys, really I feel bad…
I think deciding whether to support an actor's work or not, just because of their real life antics is a personal choice that has no wrong answer. I see it like ... Sure the leading actor turned out to be scum, but what about the leading actress? She did nothing wrong yet people will boycott her work, same with the director's work, the supporting actors/actresses work, the screenwriter's work etc. A lot more people than him put effort into this drama.

BUT I can understand people who will boycott, I just do not support trying to pressure others to boycott.

I actually enjoyed the 2fl. It was refreshing to have a second female lead who did not turn insane or evil when the ml did not love her. She did not even start to hate the female lead which is realistic but surprising for cdramas. I just wish they had fleshed her out a bit more. Give her as much screentime and characterization as they did the 2ml.

so she went back in 2010? did they change the environment, the clothing style? I want to know, I just don't want…
The main thing they did was make everyone use old mobile phones. I am not sure if the female leads ill-fitting pantsuit is supposed to be another throwback, but no one else wears anything similar. Occasionally they make references to 2020 stuff like "Uber", or AirBNB (though they never specifically name them).

Df happened to the tags?? There's rape in this!
This is a Thai drama. There is always a good chance the Male lead will somehow rape the female lead as part of his "seduction".

lol I have seen Midsummer is full of Love and I didn't realize she was the FL in Parallel Love with Li Hongyi,…
I am in the midst of watching Parallel Love and I have a question for those who have watched her in other shows. Is it just Parallel Love where she keeps grinning inappropriately in serious scenes or does she do it other dramas as well.

Did the lead actress suddenly lose a considerable amount of weight a day before shooting or something. She is constantly wearing pantsuits that look two sizes too big for her.

None of the acting is very good, but the lead actress in particular is bad. Especially in more serious scenes where it constantly seems like she is smiling inappropriately for the scene.

Can I just say though, I love the second female lead in this show. It is so refreshing to have a second female lead that does not turn "evil" because things don't go her way.

Title Last Scandal
Both leads are frustrating here. Many people have commented about the abusive ML, but I really dislike female leads who never speak up for themselves EXCEPT with the ML. Shes a doormat for her husband, her daughter, her in-laws, strangers; everyone except the male lead. It just makes everything feel so artificial.

And just why is a "movie star" living in a share house with his brother and a few other guys? Since the male lead was so crappy I hoped there would be a decent 2ml, but nah, I find the brother worse than the male lead. At least with the male lead you just think wanker, with the 2ml you think slimey.

I have almost every other version (except the Fillipino version) and this was by far the worst of them. It started well, but the ending was meh and actually felt rushed despite having so many episodes.

Is this somewhat of a remake of "Fated to Love You"?
Yes. I have also watched the Korean version, the Taiwanese version & the Thai version and this is my least favourite of them all. It changes a few plotpoints, but ultimately they were not important. What did bother me was the rather meh ending. Sure I guess it is a happy ending but it felt very unsatisfying. Especially compared to the other versions.

Title Jao Sao Chang Yon Spoiler
Watched a few more episodes and damn, every character is either in love with the female lead or out to do her…
Finally finished it. FFS in the last 10 episodes, the main couple constantly break up, then get back together for 5 minutes then break up again for an episode. It was frustrating. The male lead was as dense as a load of bricks, no idea why anyone has confidence in him becoming CEO. At least the show acknowledges the female lead is smarter than him (most of the time).

By the end Vee was still my most detestable character. I dislike the whole Spider stereotype. So called "old friends" of one of the main characters who is not really a friend, just someone waiting for a chance for something else. Controlling, arrogant, entitled, and constantly trying to wrap Meena up in a web of restrictions. Sure he had a heroic end, but that does not take away that Vee is the poster child of the Spider character type and it bewilders me why there is so much lvoe for him here (I guess maybe it shouldn't considering some of the love, rapists and psychopathic characters get in other dramas).

Overall this was a mediocre watch, a solid 5.8 drama carried by Meena the character and the actress who player her. I wonder if the reason the entire universe of this show revolves around her (she is the centre of the universe - everyone either loves her or wants to cause her damage, sometimes both) is because the writers/directors recognize she is the best thing about the drama; at least until she becomes infected with noble idiocy in the final 3 episodes.

I am curious about same thing... only male character looks the same way/direction. Daughter and Mother are different...…
All of them are looking in different directions. The father is looking at her up top, but looking at his daughter in reflection; the daughter is looking at her up top, but her dad in reflection; and finally she is looking at her daughter up top and into space in reflection. So in the reflection she is a total outsider. So I am taking the symbolism here to mean that the reflection is how she sees her situation at the start of her relationship with them, and then up top is how she becomes part of their family in reality.

In "My Father Is Strange" I was so sure the actor who played her love interest was 10 years older than her. Imagine my surprise when I found out they were around the same age. I think she is a beautiful woman who looks ageless in a way (I would have loved to have seen her play an Aes Sedai, in the new World of Time show).
