Well actually i don't know this drama hmhmhm because i knew Krist as main role ??? my fav Actor... Isn't because…
He comes across as pretty unlikeable imo. In the second episode, he is smacking the FL around the head when she is in the hospital with a FREAKIN head injury. Who TF does that. And even when he finds out she does not remember him he still has no concept of boundaries or personal space.
I tried. I really like the Korean version of My Girl. But sadly it seems it just can't be replicated. The Female lead in this thinks she is in an entirely different movie from everyone else. Her overacting and crazy exaggerated facial expressions are not cute, just annoying. I just gave up at episode 5. The point of the main character in My Girl is that she is good at lying. No one would ever believe anything the Cherrie Ling's character would say because her constant crazy faces would give her away. Currently, this is rated at 6.7. I think that is too high and would struggle to give it higher than a 5.4
On top of that, you have to deal with the incomplete subs (in the version I watched on Dramacool. Often entire conversations are missing subs
hmm..on fence..if i should even waist my time..its like do i want a headache today?...i think i should just re-watch…
In defense of Dada, she has "known" the ML for several months (according to the subtitles where other characters reference that her accident & memory loss happened months ago). She also believes he is her childhood sweetheart and her boyfriend (even if she does not remember the origins of their relationship). She at that stage she is NOT sleeping with a stranger she does not know, she is sleeping with her boyfriend/fiance that she has actually known for several months and with whom she believes she has been in a relationship with even longer.
Try watching Thai dramas. In those entire families (her parents and her siblings) are pushing the 2FL to try and…
The thing with this 2FL (and a lot of others in other dramas) is that she is NOT trying to win the ML, she is instead more into sabotaging the ML's relationship with the FL. I am not sure how she thinks the ML will love her after she destroys his relationship.
Thai dramas are much more a mixed bag. If you are ever going to give them a try, I recommend starting with "Jao Sao Jum Yorm (2018)" or "Sapai Import (2020)". Both have cute solid romances, but the other stuff common in Thai dramas in toned down or non-existent.
With the star power of Mik a lot of his dramas do not have eng subs ridiculous.
It is frustrating that so many of his dramas are not subbed. I like Mik's dramas because often the romance is cute and I can be sure his character does not turn out to be a rapist (unless that happens in one of the unsubbed ones)
I'm sorry the the main FL Character is really starting to annoy me (i know its not her fault) but does the character…
I understand her. When she met him again, she still saw him through the lens of her semi-antagonistic school mate. Whatever romantic relationship they are building currently is still built upon that base. In the flashbacks we saw that whenever she started to trust him in their school days, he would do something to destroy that trust. I feel her unwillingness to fully trust him is quite believable in that context, and would expect it to take months of sincerity to overcome that past distrust (not the few weeks the drama's time frame takes place in).
Ugh how many times does the guy have to say 'no not interested', and what part in 'I love my wife' doesn't she…
Try watching Thai dramas. In those entire families (her parents and her siblings) are pushing the 2FL to try and get with the ML and supplant his FL wife. And helping out with various schemes. Once you have sat through that, Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese 2FLs come across only mildly stalkerish.
I just finished the drama and tbh the FL got a bit annoying and ignorant. I think she got too invested in her…
I did not mind how the FL treated the M. It was highlighted very early on they had that sort of semi-antagonistic relationship back in their school days and that when they met again as adults, the FL still saw him through those same lens. Sure he broke through enough for her to also see him as her romantic partner, but that aspect was obviously being added onto how she already saw him, not replacing it.
People evolve, they do not magically change in a few days, so I found that quite realistic.
The beginning of the drama was great and the twist towards the ending was nice. This is my first time watching…
I am only a third of the way through but It is also my first time watching the FL and I quite like her. I felt like she was a decent actress who succeeded in portraying her character. She has a unique look (which I always like) and though I usually find super skinny actresses very off putting because they do not look healthy but here she was fine. Maybe because despite being super skinny, her face did not look gaunt (so her skinnyness looked natural rather than that she was starving herself). Maybe her character will become aggravating later in the drama (I can see the potential for that), but so far I am enjoying both leads (actor/actress and their characters).
sigh, My happy ending would had the female lead's family rotting in jail. They have always been problematic in…
I like the Korean and the Taiwanese versions the best (though the Korean male lead's laugh can take a little getting used to). I also loved the ML's grandmother in both these versions. I also really enjoyed the resolution at the end of the Korean one despite it being a little tropey because they spent time on it (unlike the Chinese version).
The Chinese one actually starts out great (apart from the snooker game), but sadly I disliked the end of the Chinese version (It basically only gets wrapped up in the last 5 minutes, making it feel rushed and unsatisfying).
The Japanese version I recommend you avoid, unless they do a season 2.
The Philippines version I have not watched.
It is a great story overall so I have ultimately enjoyed most of the versions I have seen.
This was my first impression when I watched her long time ago, IMO, her facial expression sometimes a bit too…
um, no. She was raped by the male lead. I get you have your little fantasy that a woman drugged up, then sold to the male lead was not raped (maybe because you find the male lead "hot"), but let me enlighten you, she was raped, no ifs, no buts, she was raped by the male lead.
I couldn't stand Irene's stupidity. For someone who's supposed to be smart, she's quite brainless. Everytime she…
I am up to episode 3, and I have noticed this too. She is supposed to be a very smart woman. She is a medical researcher ffs. But she is constantly stupid. Not naive (which could be excusable), but flat out stupid. So far the job of the male lead has not been to protect the female lead from being captured by the bad guys, but to stop the female lead from giving herself to the bad guys.
I am going to stick with this a bit longer in the hopes that the premise (of them pretending to be married) is actually the premise and not empty background dressing that contributes absolutely nothing to the plot. So far the premise has been less important than the ml's military uniform or the fl's glasses lol.
