Title Sapai TKO
It started out interesting and I liked how the female lead did not let anyone step on her. But slowly it became…
As soon as the Uncle moved in, it started to drag imo. He was only bearable in small doses but once he moved in they spent too much screentime trying to squeeze laughs out of his antics

Title Padiwaradda
Okay I love the story and the acting of the main leads however the way Duang cries is so cringe and fake ugh.…
From what I understand, in Thailand the entire concept of marriage is a lot more insubstantial than it is in Europe, North & South America, Japan, China, Korea, Oceania etc. Mistresses (and infidelity) is common and often mistresses are also called wives and even work to displace a previous wife.

Title Padiwaradda
Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the parents claim that they raised Rin as their own child but she…
I have noticed that Chinese and Thai dramas seem to hint that "adopted" children are not really considered family by anyone really. So her being little more than a servant seems to be natural in those societies

Title My Name Is Busaba Spoiler
Actually, I respectfully disagree though I accept I like Sam Soon more ( I mean she is iconic) Bussaba might have…
I am up to episode 7 and still have no clue to what her "reasons" are. And truthfully, I can not understand why her teacher gave her the recipe book because it is obvious Bussaba is not really interested in becoming a chef (or even working). You always got the sense that Sam Soon was willing to work to move towards her goal. Bussaba is only working because of the debt, otherwise she was planning to live off her mother and grandmother and fantasize about opening a restaurant in her backyard.

Another issue with Bussaba (and the ML, and his mother) is that they give me whiplash with how swiftly they will say something that totally contradicts what they said earlier. The mother wants to sell the hotel; she does not want to give it to her son because it has been in the family for generations; she wants to sell the hotel lol

In regards to "Spoilers", I have marked my original post; spoilers even though I vehemently disagree that there is anything spoilery in it. I am aware that North Americans are really weird about spoilers (they even consider video game reveals being spoilers. wtf), so with the really weird concept of what a spoiler is, that they have, I guess I should mark it spoiler.

I was really looking forward to this remake. For me, it is a disappointment. The beginning feels rushed, I can´t…
I love the Sam Soon character, but Bussaba seems to have none of the charm of Sam Soon but all of her brashness. I do not see why Busaba wants to be a chef. She just does not want to put any work in to it (or really want to work in the first place), I really think she is better off being a homecook. Sam Soon wanted to both be a Pastry Chef AND to work to achieve her goal.

I am up to episode 6 here and I am thinking about dropping it. I also enjoyed the romance in the first one but I am not sure I will here, especially since this is a Thai remake so we can expect every man, woman and dog to be attempting to interfere in any burgeoning relationship.

Everyone seems to be stupid or schizophrenic or both. The ML's mother wants to sell the hotel one minute, then the next she is telling her son she could never give him the hotel because it has been in her family for generations (why are you pushing to sell it then). The ML wants everyone to think he is in a relationship with Busaba, yet at the same time is trying to push her into a relationship with Dr Kim (even if he does not have romantic feels for Busaba yet, why the hell would he want her in a relationship with someone else which could easily a) distract Busaba from concentration on the business and b) expose his fake relationship with Busaba. Not to mention Busaba herself, she wants to be a chef one minute, not interested in a head chef job the next, interested again the next and so on.

Title My Name Is Busaba Spoiler
I liked the Korean original well enough. Sam Soon is a great character. But I just do not get the Bussaba character in this version. She just does not make a lot of sense in the first few episodes. She wants to be a chef but has done nothing to achieve her goal (other than becoming her teacher's favourite). I am not sure why she was carrying around the recipe book in the first place, unless she feels it is some sort of badge she can show people. She has none of the charm of Sam Soon, just her brashness.

He really cheated on her for 2 years.
Yes, but again that is NOT "catching him cheating". It IS "finding out he cheated after he dumped you"

Title Just You
I tried getting past the 1st episode several times but it was such a chore. The FL was just way too irritating…
In what way was the female lead selfish & entitled? And in what way was the male lead not (since your post is entirely about the female lead)? I am curious about how often people treat the actions of the character differently depending on the sex of the character and your comment stood out in this regard. Is she entitled and selfish because she would not move out of a house she has already paid the rent on?

The second lead is the one who is actually quite controlling, demanding to know her whereabouts and stalking her…
The second guy lead is the type of character that is a common type of Second lead in asian dramas (both male and female) that I call Spiders. They have lurked around their designated romantic interest for years, often since childhood. They are always super controlling, often stalkerish and love to wrap their victims (romantic interests) in sticky threads to bind them (usually through some sort of guilt or obligation). They love to pretend to be friends but they do not really see their victim (romantic interest) as a friend, only as their designated victim.

I do not think the main lead here is good, but the 2ml is trash.

Why they talking chinese not Taiwanese?
um, you do know Mandarin (Chinese) is spoken in Taiwan right and that it is their national language? Thankfully the Taiwanese do not speak with the garbling marble in your mouth accent that is the Beijing accent (which strangely seems to be pushed as the accent for Chinese Dramas)

I don't think so. He look like a guy who use too much cologne and too much wax on his hair
He looks like a time traveler from the 80s. Meanwhile, 2ML looks like he is a thirty year old pretending to be a high school student.

Person Bai Lu
You never disappoint me, Bai Lu. Wish you get a lot more historical dramas. I never get bored watching you.
She does not disappoint you with her support of authoritarianism and genocide? hmm I guess you are also a fan of Liu Yifei, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Vladimir Putin etc

what happen btw?
Also in Japan, leaving your agency and setting up your own is seen as a bit of a nono. So she was also pretty much blacklisted by the industry.

Totally underrated! This drama deserve the rating above 8 in my opinion. Plot was smooth, acting was great, and…
does it get better. I am up to episode 2 and so far all the animal stuff has done has made her chase him, whilst he just stares at moving balls. If this is just a girl chases rude obnoxious man, it is not really something I am interested in continuing with

Person Xi Zi
Does anyone knows her instagram account?
Most Chinese do not have one (or only have fanmade ones) because instagram is blocked in China - along with Twitter, Google, Youtube, BBC, Reuters, Wikipedia and any site that would challenge their government's narratives. So basically the entire internet as it exists outside China is blocked in China unless they use a VPN (which is illegal in China)

I found it accidentally on Youtube. If you type in "Oh! My Sweet Liar!" it should pop up. Hope this helped!
It is also on Kissasian.sh

I am not sure the subtitles are doing a good job telling you what is happening. They maybe accurate translations but, for example in the second episode, I have no idea why after she was flogged, she went back in broad daylight, carrying her porn sketch to try to sneak back in. Her subtitled monologue did absolutely nothing in explaining her motivation here

Title Love in Time
I am only a third of the way through but It is also my first time watching the FL and I quite like her. I felt…
I am taking a break from Love is Sweet. Not sure if I will return to it, but if I did it would be for the female lead. I wanted to like it but the ML is a way too icky & stalkerish for me. There is often an element of stalkerness in CDramas, but he was close to the same level of ickyness as the ML in "Well Intended Love". I do not find making a girl homeless so you can trick her into unknowingly moving into your apartment any sort of sweet.

Title Who Are You
*cough because of certain actor cough* OR because OG's second lead sydrome (Tae Kwang)
If this is more popular than the original because of a certain actor, then I will just chalk this up to another case of the weird fascination with abusive Thai leading male characters. FFS his character belts the FL around the head when she is in the hospital with a head injury. sigh.
