Are they married in the middle of eps 1-24? Or only engaged? (I don’t mind spoiler)

Thank you to say the novel is dark. As I cannot read Chinese, it makes me less curious and be satisfied with the drama only. 😁

If it’s said that HS’s identity as a girl will be discovered on ep 34. If I calculate based on aired dates, it will be on Sunday. So this Sunday, everybody knows HS is a girl. I really want to know the emperor’s reaction, it really determines the route, whether it will be romantic or not.

I recommend you watch My Heroic Husband. It’s a rom com as well focusing on a matrilocal husband (married into the wife’s family). He isn’t good looking but super smart, assisting his wife so the family becomes the richest in town.

Do you mean the little brother of the emperor who act innocent? If so, then I also don’t think he is that innocent and the assassins truly acted according to his command as FJM suspected. Searching for imperial fam members that were separated during the rebellion is also one of little bro’s plot. Usually the most innocent person turns to be the mastermind villainess.

Really want to wait until lots of new episodes are out then do binge watching for whole day, but I don’t think I can. My hand keep scrolling for updated new eps being posted every night. 😄

Although the ending is sad but it makes more sense and for the better cause for the empire.

But I’m still wondering if it’s just FJM’s final request of protection why she has to be made an empress not just an imperial concubine. So I still put my little faith on the romance route between HS and the emperor. 😁 You know when the emperor puts his hand on HS’s shoulder in the spoiler? I hope it has a little bit affection.

And HS really bite the emperor’s hand hard. LoL... I saw the bite mark on FZ hands. HS really put her effort on her teeth.

Now you mentioned it, it seems the story will be as what you said. As much as I don’t want to end like that, but I think what you said make more sense to me.

But you do have a point, the plots storylines are indeed different. 😁

Because ZSC is the emperor's uncle, so he is also have right claiming the throne, so he has to show full loyalty by not questioning the emperor. But FZ and emperor are only childhood friends, so his loyalty also includes correcting the emperor decision. But apart from their background and roles in both dramas, in my opinion both ML's personality is similar.

This story is so similar with One and Only, if anyone have watched it. FJM is so similar with Jr. Nancheng King in One and Only. HZ and Ms Cui Shiyi, marry the emperor, and both ML have vowed to be loyal to the emperor and not married. HZ and Shiyi are both disciple, from admiration into falling in love with their shifu. Both FJM and Zhou Shengchen have characteristic in hiding their wounds and bad conditions in order not to worry the FL and die without being with FL.

I don't know why but the emperor indeed has that kind of charater. Like he pushed FJM to marry his childhood fiance. Now he also wonder why FJM cares so much about HS, as only a disciple, because he doesn't know HS is a girl, and FJM affection is one between man and woman. FJM has vow to be loyal and not married, it's sooo similar with Jr. Nancheng KIng in One and Only.

Definitely vote for HS and shifu for sure. But rather than the emperor take HS as FZ's final request because he doesn't have much time to protect HZ, it would be better if the plot proceeds in romantic way. At least, the emperor will be sincere towards HS.

Because I also think he emperor feels in debt towards FZ that loyal to him to the death, and if FZ is dying due to his loyalty, maybe the emperor also feels resposible of HZ as FZ most precious person. (I don't know how HS is found out being a girl, but if somebody reports her, then it can be considered as deceiving the monarchy, punishable by death).

So romantic route is still better. Lately HZ is quite often dressing as a girl, maybe she is spotted by the emperor. HZ is so pretty.

Tilan is very kind, I like her a lot, so it's a plus point to the drama.

I hope the drama will turn exactly like the novel. Or at least adapts all the good points from the novel =D, although the ending may be already as expected from the spoiler.
