In most non western cultures, an 18 yr old female high schooler living at home with her parents is still subservient to her parents .she is not considered a grown woman and it is not seen as terrible abuse. Short of a close family friend or relatives asking him to calm down there are no laws making such acts illegal or punishable. Therefore the show is somewhat reflective of the culture ,nothing happens to dad. Basically you are judging it through your american cultural lens . most arab, african and indian or asian cultures do not frown at such discipline.
I don't like how they lowkey glossed over domestic violence. It was made to seem not that serious...like your…
Ehmmmm......... you do know that it is culturally acceptable to beat your kids in most cultures except western european culture. It is termed parental discipline and the west is actually a recent exception. From a cultural lens, her father slapping her wasn't really a big deal. Now i personally think it was abusive because she was a top student and there was no need to beat her but lots of koreans spank their kids .
i'm kinda surprised by all of the negative comments here! i personally thought this drama was super cute. i loved…

Ikr, SH loves JG first, accept her true self before she's accepting herself, share deeper connection, help her…
My sentiments exactly. he was the one who brought the heartbreak on himself because of his misguided anger at suho. Even b4 he started really liking her, there were about 3 occasions where he saw her looking at suho with so much admiration/love. 2x in class and during their fight with the gang at the karaoke place. jk also made it very clear she loves suho when she was crying and confessing her love for suho to seojun at the class camp.
i think the insta caption was "Suho team" to thank his stylists and manager. idk thats what i heard from twitter…
its translated as team suho because in korean language the subject comes before the noun. for instance "kim hyung" means brother kim in english not kim brother as it is written. he also wouldn't refer to his manager and stylists as team suho.
I don't agree with you SH is one of the best male leads, so is SeoJun as a second male lead unfortunately the…
Exactly. the characters of suho and jugyeong are much more difficult and complex to play than seojun. seojun is open, expressive has friends and doesn't have much emotional burdens. frankly han seojun's role is not a difficult role for an actor to play. i'm not saying hiy is not talented ,he is a good actor but come on,that role was an easy role for most professional actors. jugyeong's character was a hit or miss and mgy did absolute justice and more to the role .she gave it a freshness, cuteness, purity and humor which was authentic not corny or fake. suho was quite complex and we see the evolution from the cold ,stoic ,emotionally stunted , hurting ,unfriendly character to the loving, caring ,emotionally expressive and bubbly person he later becomes. he opens up and starts to accept the friendship of other people, make amends with his dad, comes to term with seyeons death and learns to handle his jealousy better.
I dnt think so....Suho-JK has more chemistry than Seojun-JK both on nd offscreen tooo.....Seojun-JK were just…
u think sj and jk had better chemistry ,someone else thinks it was better with suho ,that's opinion. There is no objective measure but one thing is sure, jk ain't feeling no chemistry with seojun.
