I have mixed views towards this drama. Rationally I don't feel much chemistry between the leads and there were many boring fillers that I had to fast forward. Even the enjoyable scenes were full of kdrama cliches. But for some reason I'm still kind of enjoying this and I hope it'll get better.

I don't mind age gaps, but YGS and KYJ don't have matching vibes. Something about them just doesn't go tgt. Ahn Hyo Seop might have been better with KYJ, but then YGS matches the role more, so I'm still ok with him as the ML. I can't really imagine Ahn doing equally as comedic as YGS, plus the CEO role is better off played by a more mature guy like YGS.

My favorite screenwriter is back!!! Was a HUGE fan of Nine Time Travels, Queen In Hyun's Man and W.

The drama that engaged me the most in the second half of the year. Props to everyone who took part in making this!! Perfect balance between comedy, mystery, thriller and family. Also the first time I actually gave a shit about side characters. They just shined. So Ji Sub as Kim Bon was such a great choice of cast, and Jung In Sun was so motherly here too. The villain Jin Yong Tae was cute and hilarious. This drama proves that baby-sitting and special agent scenes can go together haha. Awesome drama!

Reading the novel and enjoying it a lot. Really digging the master-disciple relationship and the comedy is spot on. Hope this drama version will be good too

I think I have opposing views with netizens. I know the ending for the webtoon but I want her to end up with the other guy instead. It's frustrating.

I totally agree with you. Yoon Gyun Sang at most looks like her brother, not uncle or father so the age gap isn't even that big.

This is the first time I'm not rooting for the leads. YJ doesn't deserve JY. Like not AT ALL. Self-absorbed, self-centred, inconsiderate, is the one hurting people but plays victim every time. Hangs out with guy that bf is insecure about, then breaks up with bf and marries that guy. In real life, someone that does that is likely an unfaithful golddigger that makes up reasons to break up with their bf to be with another guy who has high social status and more money.

I'm confident about tvN. They have the ability to make a mediocre drama better than it can be.

The act of Han Se Gye helping that woman during her time as a little boy was absolutely touching, and showed how the shapeshifting syndrome that she has always regarded as a curse could also be a blessing. For a long time she never understood why it happened to her, and she suffered tremendously because of the illness. But this time was one time she actually felt glad about being able to comfort someone. Being a boy, she changed the life of a mother, and she also had the opportunity to rediscover her own mother's love as a child.

I'm glad they gave the plot a little change in the latest episodes to make the drama deeper and less cliche. Let me explain in the spoiler.

Sorry but I just have to disagree. If like you said people should feel reluctant to make negative comments, there would be only positive comments of a drama in the comments section. Being honest as much as possible is the best way to statistically reflect public opinion towards a drama. If there are many negative comments about a drama, there must be a reason why. And there will also be a higher probability that another person will dislike it for the same reason even if that person is not you. Which is why, regardless of comments, you could always give a drama a 2 to 5 episode chance.

Besides, there are more positive comments here than negative ones. And this drama is the most popular one out of all airing dramas currently and also with the highest ratings. Even though I don't personally like this (part of the negative comments were from me), It's pretty obvious that this drama is popular and a lot of people like it.

I feel terrible saying this but... What's up with Chun Jung Myung in that cover photo?? That hairstyle and those bangs definitely do not suit his long forehead. I kind of feel sorry for him lol

I think you answered my doubts well. I was worried that this would be another one of Kim Eun Sook's dramas where it gets bland throughout the middle of the series and is only engaging towards the end. That was precisely why I disliked The Heirs, DOTS and Goblin.

If a drama is an official remake of a parent story, there will always be a comparison. You can decide to not compare it since you haven't watched the original, but for anyone who has watched it, comparing is pretty much natural instinct. Since this is based off of a story known for some pretty unique elements, in order to be a good adaptation, the kdrama version should be different but at the same time not lose the essence that made the story what it was.

For example, if there was a popular book that people liked because of very specific reasons, and someone made a movie out of it but removed those reasons that made it enjoyable in the first place, fans would definitely be disappointed. Not saying this drama isn't good, but it might have been better off as a standalone drama with a different story, rather than an official remake that excludes the most core elements of the original.
