When I first read that the story is about airport personnel, I was a bit reluctant to start this (cuz I find airport dramas to be boring and lackluster) but this is better than I expected. There's mystery, drama and even action already in the first two episodes. Really looking forward to how it will play out!
My thoughts exactly. 4 people even marked it as completed. But maybe they just accidentically confused this with…
I think it's ok to give it a mark after it starts airing and fine tune it while watching. For reviews though, it's better to write the review after it's completed.
Although they only dated for a few minutes, I can understand why he couldn't forget about her for 7 years. JY is a nerd who is rigid, likes structure and order and following the rules. His whole life has been about planning and having everything in control. But when YJ came into his life, it was like a ripple effect that sprung everything out of control. He did things that he never did, embraced spontaneity, and experienced adrenaline rushes for the first time in his life. To him, YJ was that one very special person who opened his door to love, a very foreign but fascinating concept to him. So he fell head over heels for her, and her words became a sharp piercing needle to his heart that opened for the first time. And just like that, his first love that burned like a spark that day, also died as fast as a spark.
was i the only one annoyed that they played it out as if something big had been between them during college, so…
Nope. I actually liked how they portrayed first love. Maybe it's a cultural difference, but this first love is like a spark, it burns hard and dies fast. Also reminds me of my crush(es) in my school days whom I've never dated but can still remember clearly up to this very day.
This story is precisely about angst that lasts for 12 years lol
I can see where you're coming from. Though personally I loved how head over heels he was for her even though they never actually started. That bittersweet first love that hit the poor guy so hard 3
2 episodes in and this already surpassed most of the dramas I've watched. This is totally my type of drama. The cute, innocent first love that makes me smile unconsciously, the comedy that makes me cackle out loud, and just enough angst that keeps me at the edge of my seat. Probably will go into my top 10 all time favs if the quality can be maintained throughout the series.
She was making fun of him as a sibling. Even in daily life my friends who are close to one another ask people who can't find a gf if they are gay (not that they'll discriminate him if he really is) but yeah it's a very common thing to say to someone who can't find a gf for a very long time. Plus siblings being mean to each other is even more common. Just because it's about being gay doesn't immediately make it homophobic.
So Ji Sub never gets old! Really looking forward to this... Though I'm a bit worried how the romance will play out between the leads since the FL is/was already married and has a kid. I wonder if she'd get over her former husband that quickly given all that shock.
I'm worried that this will have a sad ending given that MS might actually have dementia. His memory is deteriorating in the latest episode and it seems it will get worse. Dementia is basically a slow death plus you forget about the people you love... it's just sad...
I was wondering the same myself. Is it better to watch the original first or should I just watch remake first?…
I'm glad you chose to watch the Japanese version first to have a taste of the original story. I'm also interested to see how the Korean one will play out. It may come to have its unique charms and style even if it doesn't choose to follow the original, as expected from Kdramas in general.
The ending was so rushed that some parts shown in the preview did not appear in the last episode :( And there was one scene where they even exposed the microphone during the filming!! Honestly this didn't end well for me. It could have been way better if they hadn't cut 8 episodes from the story. Felt like a lot was left out and the pacing was off.
as usual, great performance of Seo Hyun Jin :D
