The more eps i watched the ugly sobbing my tears dropped for li lianhua :'((( he's such a kind hearted man ahh. Why this drama reminded me of male lead from the untamed and nirvana in fireπ
What are you looking for in a drama or what do you dislike in dramas? I had no problem with the first episode…
Its funny to read this, since I found the characters and plot of MLC too uninteresting/boring to keep watching. Probably these dramas appeal to different audiences. For me, the first episodes of TBOY introduce the characters and world very well, hard to imagine, whats so difficult to get. Since this dramas has a lot of fans, you can find plenty of helpful character overviews, if you wanted to. But since it just does not seem to be your style/type of drama, of course, don't force yourself. (For the question, why are they traveling: Wujie was on his way to his new Sect, Xiaose joins him seemingly for the money, but probably more reasons. They meet Tang Lian, who is from that sect, Wujie is about to join, so they decide to help Tang Lian with his mission first, before going to the city of that sect, as initially planned. Nothing of this is hidden between the lines.)
In case you're wondering, here are some emojis and slang used by Cnets and int.fans

Why us, fellow campers and TTEOM residents here love Till The End Of The Moon so much? For me, personally, I have…
Why do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the point that I have become active on MDL and sacrificed my sleep. I rewatched many episodes and again foregone my sleep. For Xixi and Lulu are fair and lovely not only in appearance but in deed. The story, the acting, the costumes, and the CGI are all amazing indeed. There are more reasons of course, but this TTEOTM clown does need to sign off for a bit, For even love cannot sustain one who needs to eat. π€£π€£π€£π€‘π€‘π€‘
P.S. Shout out to Elizabeth Barrett Browning for her awesome poetry. Mine is but comedic trash. LOL!π

For me, it would be the following:
1. Strong FL. 2. Non-perfect ML (anti-hero) who is far from a saint, and is relatable to the audience. 3. Stellar and impeccable acting from all actors from the mains to the supporting roles, yes down to the cute and funny maid (Chun Tao) and other smaller roles. A viewer said the crows, birds and bugs also did justice to their roles too, so I am adding it here cos I agree to that π€£ 4. Good storyline and pacing (some bits have shoddy editing due to the cnet regulations so that's fine, couldn't be avoided). Still better than most xianxias cos there are no filler scenes and useless characters/locations introduced just to fill up the time. 5. Haunting and addictive melodies : OSTs and BGM πππ 6. Brilliant script, it was not the go-round-and-round-but-can't-understand-the-point type of dialogues. The lines were clear, simplistic and realistic. 7. Beautiful location/sets and props/scenery and brilliant CGI. 8. Gorgeous costumes, accessories, hair and makeup (let's not talk about filtering cos that's not the makeup team's fault). 9. AMAZING CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE 1st COUPLE AND 3rd COUPLE ~~ enuf said.
Why us, fellow campers and TTEOM residents here love Till The End Of The Moon so much?
For me, personally, I have a weakness for anti-hero and villain storylines. It just hits different. When a supposed to be evil character were given choices in life and chances to choose between the path of good and evil. It is great to see the character development, that it is not always the best choice to be the hero but it is better albeit being the harder choice to simply being a good person... which ultimately in the end will save the world. And this is Tantai Jin. Him who was born with an evil bone and destined to be the Devil God no matter what. Him who had been dealt with the hard life and chose to be the better person in the end.
It is perfectly complemented by the equally morally gray Li Susu who provided the ill fated romantic entanglement and arguably pushed Tantai Jin to make the hard decisions he had to make each step of the way. She had a mission and she had to finish it regardless of her feelings, which most of us felt unfair and uncalled for. It is apparent, while many would argue that Li Susu herself led Tantai Jin to be the Devil God, it is fate, it is Tantai Jinβs destiny to be the Devil God.
For the new watchers around here, it may not be the fairytale ending one is hoping for, but watch it with and open mind and appreciation. I started to watch this while I was in my hotel in Tokyo, 5 hours later I almost missed my flight back to Brisbane. The first episode is phenomenal and gripping. I have yet to see another Xianxia who will grab you with the same intensity as in the first episode.
The plot is complex, the production is in another level and Luo Yunxi breathed Tantai Jin life, it is in a whole new level.
Hence I ask you, why do you love TTEOM? Let us know. π
In the charms teaching scene, YXW talks about heartless way with TTJ. She mentioned that she's far from taking that path. That scene hits different now that we knew what happened in the end. π€§π
Can someone remind me, why TTJ is referred to as the ^end of the moon^ hence the explaination given by Bailu in…
The final chinese title is ιΏζη¬ζ (Till the End of the Moon) but it was originally named ζη §εε³°δΈΊδΈδΊΊ (The Moon Shines for One Person). This probably refers to how Tantai Jin, like the moon, follows Li Susu - his sun. Her presence gave light in his life and changed it, so much so that he continues to search for her even after death. It also represents their inherent duality - Yin and Yang, light vs dark, different but complementary.
ιΏζ means the long moon (also how people refer to the drama in short form). The Long Night Moon gets its name because the full moon in December occurs near the solstice, which has the longest night of the year. Hostage Prince TTJ first met LSS in one of the coldest day in December (perhaps even coinciding with the Long Moon).
What is REALLY good acting? Just look at this short clip which is a regular scene not highlight scene:https://twitter.com/JJitpai9279/status/1668510873340768257TTJ…
TTJ hostage prince expression, he does not have good intention there, he is taking precaution because everyone betrays him, he wants to survive. His is not smiling, but his gesture shows that he cares for her, making sure it looks perfect but there is no caring emotion in his eyes. His eyes are emotionless.
How good is LYX acting, u can make each of his scenes as a GIF and repeat it over and over again, each one tells a story, never too much just right just enough.
How they praise him in China, Leo acting can be justified frame to frame. Usually, each drama we have 1-2 highlight scenes that people remember most, just like Runyu, looking back at the river, that one of Xianxia most classic scenes to date. But in TTEOTM, we donβt have it, why because Leo performed extremely well in so many scenes. We have too many highlight scenes of him:
The Crow orchestra, The Dream Demon, the madness betrayed in the boat, Several confrontations with YXW, CJM on the punishment altar, ADG scenes with DG 3.0 and many moreβ¦.
Everytime I watch his fans video creation, Iβm still marvel at LYX highly successful character creation. In C drama, we often get mediocre idol type acting, at times we are lucky to see better acting, but rarely we get to see an actor that has the ability to truly create a memorable character like TTJ.
It is an honor for any actor to own one Classic character but Leo already has two: Runyu and TTJ, the Runyu explosion at that time was actually a little higher than our TTJ.
He has another super explosive character, Chu Wanning, but when?
