I have said many times, a great actor is above the script, above the director. LYX has always been able to tame down the “evil/villain/antagonist” characters (Runyu -AOL, ZZZ – Broker, ADG-TTJ – TTEOTM), because he does not settle with the director and script alone. And even when LYX got v little screen time such as Princes Silver-Rong Qi, total 100 min in 58 eps. It was Rong Qi that pp remembered and his Rong Qi data overwhelmed the ML+FL combined sev times higher. He won awards for 3rd ML which is unprecedented, usually only ML/FL sometimes 2nd ML/FL but never 3rd ML/FL. That’s a good actor and LYX is a great actor. Even with little screen time, LYX made use of every screen second with his acting prowess.

He made the script better. That’s how I judge a good actor or not, bad script is never an excuse.

Honestly, Lbfad's IQIYI CGI production & Ost are more impressive than Dylan & Ester acting and that's all. I still skipped it, as doesn't have strong intresting storyline. It's just a plain old fluffy romance. It have a happy ending (which is why it gets so much attention.)

Honesly, can't ignore the whole masterpiece for just an ending. If Youku rightly given the original happy ending like its novel then, any new dramas won't be able to compete. Tteotm, especially Luo yunxi & Bailu wonderful performances have raised up the bar high. Its amazing.

Hence we should just enjoy it for what it and hope more appreciate it too - and there will be genuine people who don't like it for what it is - doesn't make them an anti or hater. We all have our preference as well as right to vote how we please.

FL is not wishy washy or a damsel in distress. She is a strong character with upright values. Different from usual FL.

I agree with everything you said, it is not fair to compare to LBFAD. LBFAD’s story is way way way lighter, less complex.

This drama screams tragedy from the start. LBFAD didn’t have that “tragedy” feeling and even the angst wasn’t 0.1% as bad, the relationship with the leads is way different as well.

Agree. I understand and accept the ending. I took it pretty well even though I had wished for a happy ending. However I would like to have a proper ending. I feel that this is not my story so I do not wish to make a guess.

Yes. The director wants us to remember this drama. And however we want the ending to be. So depending on what one's thought is...if one has happy thoughts, then the ending will be happy. If one has sad thoughts then sad ending. Actually...this is a lesson in life.....life is what you make of. When we have lemons 🍋, let's make lemonade and enjoy it 😉 😊

I say if people scared to watch the ending, watch til the demon wedding. Don't want to miss the final honeymoon and demon wedding. It's so beautiful and enlighten the heart❤️

Otherwise TTEOM would just be like any other regular drama instead of an ordinary to be remembered forever drama. So to me it has been sufficed.

TTEOM has impacted me greatly. I love the drama so much that I had spent the last month doing nothing but watching Bai Lu and Yunxi's videos. I searched and listen to every audio and video including analysis about TTEOM. After the drama has ended, I couldn't move on. It's been a few days now and I had watched all their BTS and short video clips...you name it. I really miss the pair. I am now a fan of Yunxi.....his emotions and acting and facial expressions as ML are incredible and irresistible. Love love him ❤️😍♥️

It has been a great experience reading all of your options and feelings. Looks like we are very similar in the boat 😭🤧 thank you all for your contributions. I am new here. Just signed up today, only to rate TTEOM and to post my thoughts. Yes, I rate TTEOM 10 because the ending does not change my mind about my journey for this past month. I also have been rewatching TTEOM and LIS because I cannot move on. Missing Bai Lu and Yunxi so much 😭
