So much better omg. I'm obsessed already. I just finished episode 1 and I couldn't stop giggling and kicking my feet. This might be the best romcom for me this year 😩❤️
You do know there's already websites that do exactly the same...Notably MyAnimelist which has exactly the same…
I use TvTime to mark all tipe of tv shows and movies that I watch. It's pretty good and u can comment about the episodes with other people in the comments or just see what others are saying about each episode.
This was so goood and well executed, good mix of fighting and friendship, comedy and angst. The only thing I didn't…
Absolutely. It fell off for me in the last two episodes. Like u said, they rushed and I also thought the last fight scene was so much more exaggerated than previous ones.
I would like to know which upcoming projects will come out and which ones are canceled. I haven't seen any recent news about Smoking Gun, In Your Brilliant Season and Literalism. It's been 5 years since Smoking Gun was posted in MDL, so It's probably not gonna happen anymore. Admins should delete it 🫠
I just really curious... how he get the main role for his debut until now his career as an actor ??
Besides his debut in a BL drama, which is quite normal to quickly enter the industry with a bigger role, his next main character was in School 2021, all the School franchises were dramas that casted new actors in order to help them break into the industry as well, he was also casted in the mini-drama Once Upon a Small Town from a lesser-known streaming service. Although he started with leading roles, his journey was not at all unusual, as he started in low-budget projects, commonly used to help new actors.
For people who are calling us fans immature....For months, we were led to believe that we'd finally see our favorite…
Damn, I didn't know he had offers to cast in Mantis and Low Life (I'm looking forward these two dramas) I can't tell if it's lucky to have so many options or if it's bad because all the dramas look absolutely amazing from the synopsis. Manly Twelve and Low Life, they feel like a fresh new look from other kdramas, I've never seen anything like it. So it's a shame he didn't choose to star in those two, they're big bets for original plots. Unfortunately I'm not personally excited to watch the dramas he chose to be in 😔
" dont rate this drama low just because of ur weird fetish for south koreans being innocent and pure. They also…
But for those who don't like this type of content, they have the free will to not watch it. We still have a lot of kdramas without this, people don't need to criticize it so much, because it's not as big of a problem as they make it seem. Anyone who doesn't like this type of scene can skip it or stop watching. For those who are sensitive, you can do a quick search on the internet. I understand both perspectives, some don't want kdramas to be westernized and I agree that this is indeed happening with the global fame they have gained in recent years, but on the other hand I think @Grand Inquisitor is right in saying "kdramas should not be limited to vanilla romance simply because they are kdramas - that comes across as infantilising and places filmmaking within a restrictive box, which is a death sentence for any creative arts industry", so we should leave them free to experiment with any type of content. Letting them express their ideas can create great stories, it will always be impossible to please everyone, there are people who prefer one thing over another, so I believe there is a need for more variety in this industry to attract all types of audiences. However we must, of course, show that we still love the original fluffy romances and it was from them that they gained most of their global fame, we can't let them forget that. This is my opinion.
Even though I haven’t been interested in either plots enough to complete the dramas, I am IMPRESSED with the…
Finally I see someone talking about the dialogues, this writer captivated me not only with the stories but with the dialogues she created. Both in Search WWW and 2521. She's such a smart writer, I'm waiting desperately for her next project.

2521 didn't hit 100k yet but It's really close. I would definitely vote for it. Even tho people dislike the ending, everything else on this drama is so amazing to me.
The legend of shen Li, although it is a xianxia has its own different path. It is much more based on the romance…
Thank you, so many recommendations! I have a lot of interest in many of those, such as The Wolf and A Journey to Love. I also started Goodbye My Princess and I was liking it so much but I got spoiled that it would be a toxic journey so I stopped but it was so beautiful in the beginning. I watched the firsts episodes of One and Only but it didn't catch me right way and also got spoiled about the story. Others famous cdramas with good ratings like My Journey to You, I Am Nobody, The Untamed, Word of Honor, Mysterious Lotus Casebook are in my plan to watch list. I just need something to encourage me to start one of them. I got recommended Back From the Brink and Love You Seven Times from others as good dramas for beginners too but I don't think it's my cup of tea, I'm not a big fan of light hearted or romantic comedies dramas. I enjoy the serious atmosphere The Double, The Legend of Fuyao and The King's Woman have. Several comments are highlighting how good The Legend of Shen Li is and how unique it is from other xianxia, so I will definitely add it to my list, thank you so much again.
Recently started The Double and I'm really enjoying it. I don't watch chinese dramas often and I want to try it more, but I think I notice a pattern of what I don't like in historical cdramas... I liked The Legend of Fuyao, The King's Woman and now The Double (Wuxias?) but I dropped and didn't like Ashes of Love and The Love Between Fairy and Devil, so my guess is that I probably don't like xianxias. However I don't wanna give up on this genre... What do u guys think about The Legend of Shen Li? Is it a good option to make me like xianxias? or is it similar to those dramas I mentioned? I'm open to recommendations for both, Wuxias and Xianxias.
I have to agree with you, it had so much potencial wasted! As I've seen some people say, it was an atypical story with a very typical and predictable execution. A family with superpowers struggling with modern problems and a romance between a depressed man and a con artist it's such an amazing and unique premise. In the first episodes I was so curious about how would they developed the relationships between everyone: the romance between the main leads because he was depressed and she was deceiving his family; the father-daughter relationship due to the fact that he was an absent father even though he was still present (he was a horrible father and was forgiven so easily, he had almost no development); and the entire family itself. Unlike most people, I didn't find the daughter's romantic relationship interesting. Like many other aspects of the drama, her romantic story wasn't well developed. Bok I Na was an introverted child and at times she was really strange with the way she reacted in interactions with others, there wasn't a single moment that showed why the boy liked her... (usually in plots like this, they show the boy observing some kind of moment in which the girl acts kindly and falls in love with her, but not even that was shown). It could have been a 10/10 if it went for the things you mentioned. Overall it was nothing special or memorable.
Soooooo many dramas now!! 😍😍😍(I think it's because international streaming services are now involved…
I love that, I didn't know I would be so thankful to streming services like Netflix. I actually was not liking that most of the hyped kdramas now are mostly on Netflix, when we have so many good dramas that are not on streaming platforms. But at least we are getting more people to know asian dramas.
I was trying to figure out why I can’t seem to get into this drama or the character even though I quite like…
I actually thought the balance between the comedy and the serious aspect was well done, so it is really an opinion thing. The latest drama that I think the comedy and all the other genres didn't flow together was My Demon, for me the script seemed so bad, the comedy parts just made me cringe so bad, but it's comprehensible cause the screenwriter is new, the director too and in my opinion the actors aren't amazing either just average. But in Queen of Tears I thought the exact opposite, all the involved one's have experience and they made a lot of hits, for me they know what they're doing, maybe that's not what people want tho, but even if people don't like it it's an opinion thing and not a script thing. In conclusion, everyone has different opinions, it didn't work for you but may work for others. I watched the 1st episode with my boyfriend and we both laughed so much but at the same time we felt sorry for the ml, Kim Soo Hyun is so charismatic in this one.

That's what I always say! A good script, direction and actors is all that matters. But I see a lot of people saying "if the main leads ain't good looking, I don't watch it" and this is being normalized, it's becoming a trend on tiktok to say this. As if it wasn't a horrible thing to say. Many people criticize the existence of beauty standards and argue that they shouldn't exist, etc, etc. but in practice they are contributing to the continued propaganda of beauty standards and giving privileges to beautiful people and not to the most talented people. Barbie just came out less than a year ago in theaters and became super famous for this criticism of beauty standards and everyone liked it, especially the girls because they identified a lot with the issue of always trying to be perfect because society demands a lot from the appearance of girls. But at the end of the day, the people I see most commenting on the types of videos I mentioned above... are girls. They don't like to feel pressured by society to be perfect, but they demand it from celebrities. Can only beautiful people be famous then? I will never be able to understand what is in these people's heads.

Didn't you know that being beautiful is all what matters in this industry nowadays? They are bringing a lot of beautiful actors that can't act recently, this is getting so bad but most people don't care about it because they also just want to see beautiful faces instead of good quality acting skills.
I don't know what's up with these writers, is it necessary to put a girl and both sides love her or even not love…
After I saw people saying it would have romance, I lose interest right away. I absolutely agree with what u said. Why can't they just be friends or a trio helping each other to reach the same goal...

PS: I also don't like to much politics
