It seems like it was an editing decision because the transition was abrupt/fast, from them laying on the bed to Tol being at his parent's home. Something was missing in between so I think due to time constraints they might have cut some scenes out. This one is a big clue to that.

They mentioned that thanks to Tin he was discovered, but since we have one more loop, we might get the big reveal we are hoping for. If anything, it might have something to do with Tol's father.
