The reason why she became a tutor was pretty stupid and most of all really naive, nonetheless I still enjoyed the first 8 episodes. The problem is, the last two episodes were a real mess. It felt like the production team was told after episode 8 they had to wrap up the drama in two more weeks, even though they planned for it to go at least 4 - 6 weeks longer. Either that or the writer really didn't think the whole story through to the end because the foundation they built up in 8 episodes was basically torn down in a matter of a few minutes in episode 9 without a real reason why or explanation.

BUT, if you like Hashimoto Ai you should definitely give it a try. Even though the last two episodes were really unconvincing, which wasn't her fault but the writer's, she did a pretty good job as the "a little messed up Cutie Honey light" she portrayed in most of the drama.

yo yo!Do we have a link for this?I just discovered it though IMDB,i searched for it but nothing. Can someone please…
It's on Avistaz, but there're no genuine English Subs and it'll probably never get any because it'd take a miracle for a subber to just stumble over this movie by chance.

Am working on the last four episodes english subtitles at the moment.
Very cool! Thanks! Do you also happen to know where to get the Subs from the first few episodes? Seems like they only uploaded them on their site or I'm just not as good at looking for them as I thought ;)

No one ever subbed this one or the movie to be available? Oh come on guys. Have some pity on us to share with…
I think ECOTV subbed this a while ago, but unfortunately it seems like the subs were taken down everywhere (Livejournal and Subscene at least). You could try asking on their Discord server.

japanese drama and movie are always like this right? do they always have incest drama and movie?
At least there's no incest themed drama/movie in the over 2300 Japanese titles on my PTW and completed lists. I would bet there are more "incest" themed movies/series from the US than there are from Japan, even though I don't know any because my interest in them would be 0.

Hi can you please spoil the ending for me. I watched it with google translate but subs for E10 are missing and…
You will never get the same results from a machine translation, especially when it comes to Japanese. They don't use pronouns, a lot of their language is based on TPO (time/place/occasion), their names can be translated in 100 different ways and they more often than not don't use full sentences, at least if it's non-Keigo. These are all points that are practically impossible for a machine to translate correctly. If you don't know any Japanese at all it's really hard to "get" every conversation the way they mean it. So your work is verrrryyyyy much appreciated and could never be replaced by a machine (even if I probably won't watch this drama xD).
Why don't you upload your work on d-addicts.com or drama-otaku.net? It'll be much more prominent and appreciated on these sites than on Subscene because that page gets avoided by a lot of people as far as I know (it's definitely the last page I visit when I'm looking for subs). It's the only page that allows machine translations to be uploaded afterall and it's not particularly visible if it's human or machine translation.

a love angle between 52 & 24 years olds? bye.
They never were "in love" with each other romantically. She was just confused because she didn't have any real friends or male influences in her adolescent and adult life, except for her two business partner,s and couldn't place her feelings of liking someone as a "uncle/brother/father" figure. At least that's how I see and interpret it.

I think for the past ten years or even more, dorama and Japanese movies are filled with family drama, how to build…
To be honest, I just wanted to write a sarcastic comment, not trigger some kind of discussion what's right or wrong ;)
I totally get what you're saying and it's totally fair, even helpful to society what happens in Chinese TV, but in my opinion it's the complete opposite for Japan. If they want to promote family, why not stop making 8 out of 10 dramas/movies with the totally outdated "women need to stay home, support their husband and be a housewive so men can work their butts off 80 hours a week and do nothing at all at home" mindset and either have them both work or reverse the roles for a change to show that it's possible to build a family that way, too. That would be way more effective to promote family and marriage in my opinion because everyone who's watching news or some kind of social media people "from the west" can see that it's possible and acceptable to be hard working and independent in marriage.
I think it's way past time for Japanese society and writers/producers to stop making dramas like "Unicorn ni Notte", in which the female lead, who's single, in her 20s and owns her own company, thinks (at least in the first few episodes) that she can't fall in love/have a family AND work/grow her own business at the same time, partly because she's being pressured by the people around her (especially her high school student little sister) to "stop working so hard and fall in love instead", and promote that it's possible to have both or at least that it's acceptable to choose without getting pressure, even (or especially?) as a woman.

So what’s your point here? They should leave them alone and see decline in their population? Really I am curious…
I know what you're talking about, but I was talking about the women who are in their mid/end 20s now. Who knows what will happen in 50 years. A lot of those you are talking about ended up that way because they got shunned by family and society because it wasn't acceptable to not be married as a woman. If nothing changes it'll be the same with the men in the future. It's not like they are eager to get married nowadays because society's pressure to be the patriarch and breadwinner is still way too high and if they marry a career woman who earns more money than them they're looked down upon. So they stay alone and rather chase some idol(s) their whole adult lives and then end up in the same situation the women you were talking about are in right now. The world, at least first world countries, isn't a patriarchic dominated society anymore and Japan has to catch up or end up with the majority of people staying single until they die.
On Say "I Love You" May 13, 2023
Well, that was a waste of time. I actually liked the anime, but it's been awhile since I watched it, so other than the general story and the fact that I thought I didn't hate Shoujo Manga characters for a change I didn't remember much of it.
I somehow thought the ML was considerate and likeable, but it seems I mixed him and the dude from Kimi no Todoke together in my head because I certainly didn't remember all the non consensual kissing and the pushiness, especially in the beginning after the karaoke. She should have just kicked him down the stairs again to make him realize what a douchebag he is, but her having the ability to say "no" or "stop" was probably a short term character error because she switched to stereotypical Shoujo Manga FL the rest of the movie.
But maybe I remembered right about the anime and the characters and it's just that Fukushi Sota's acting sucks. Everytime he tries to show any kind of emotions it just seems extremely fake and he comes across as just another playboy Shoujo Manga Lead who doesn't care for anything or anyone but himself in every role he plays.
On Grand Blue Dreaming May 10, 2023
It's not bad if you don't know the source material, but it's worse than the anime and definitely way worse than the manga. Probably the biggest problem: it's a PG-13 movie made out of Rated R material. I'll also never understand why the Japanese take an already unfinished and extremely compressed 200+ minute anime and compress it even more for a 100 minute live-action adaption.

Every ep is gonna have some horror parts in it? I think I'll quit, lol, not my thing... x_x Even if the scenes…
If it follows the manga/anime then it's more ridiculous/surrealistic themes, like fighting a bear while reading viewers letters or being judged by some kind of otherworldly being that sends the souls of dead people to Sweden. There's no "horror" in the anime except for the one bit with the attic. But I've only skipped through ep1 of the drama, which was pretty close to the anime/manga, even if the chronology was jumbled up a bit.
On A Warmed Up Love May 5, 2023
Would have been one of the, in my opinion, most enjoyable Japanese dramas of 2020 if the romantic developments would've ended in about the middle of episode 8. That was the peak of chemistry between the four characters that are labeled as leads here. After that it went downhill because most of what was enjoyable started to feel rather forced and it became more and more difficult for me to understand the characters' decision making process. But all in all a well acted drama (love Mori Nana and her mischievous smile) with a lot of enjoyable moments. I'm asking for the impossible, but if anyone has any recommendations for a workplace/friendship drama like this, without the forced romance that always becomes be the focal point in the end, please feel free to suggest them! :)

On another note: Someone should remove the recommendation to Itazura na Kiss, it's extremely misleading and almost prevented me from watching Kono Koi Atatamemasu ka. The only thing these two dramas have in common with each other is that they're both about romance (and even that is rather vague, if you only count season 1). There's no constantly verbally abusive ML partnered with a masochistic FL that can't think for or do anything by herself in KonoKoi and the setting is completely different. Even how and why they approach each other is the complete opposite. There's also a lot of mutual respect almost from the first time they meet in KonoKoi, while the ML has absolutely 0 respect for the FL the whole two seasons and movies in Itazura na Kiss.

Na everything was wrong 1. Teacher was good sweet always there for the FL their relationship was wrong and creepy…
Welcome to Shoujo Manga. It has always the same formula, rude a**holes are the most sought after guys and the more he/they (verbally) abuse the FL/girls in general the more liked and popular they are. Consent is not in anyones dictionary and most people cheer and are happy for the "abused" if someone kisses them without it. The FL can't think for herself and always needs to be rescued if a problem arises, otherwise she's just along for the ride because her brain is mostly on vacation. The biggest problem in all of this is that a lot of girls in real life think these stories are super romantic...

Title A2Z
It is not the first time a Japanese drama ends with the married couple still together no matter how unhealthy…
Thanks for the comment, I decided to not watch because of it. Seems like a really pointless drama.
Unfortunately your second paragraph is 100% right. It's gotten a lot better, but it's still something that's not really accepted by society, especially if it's a divorced woman. Old-fashioned people would ask "what's the harm if he had one of two affairs?", and they are still the majority of society. Funny thing is, people are seriously asking themselves why nobody wants to get married anymore and why the birthrate is at an alarming low.
On Iyasaretai Otoko Apr 27, 2023
The synopsis sounds like an average Japanese man's everyday life. As sad as that is. I don't really know why someone thought it was a good idea to make this into a story, much less a Drama shown in extremely conservative Japanese free TV.
On Born to Be on Air! Apr 24, 2023
For the people that love the anime, like me, and are wondering: the first episode, from what I've seen by skipping through, stays mostly true to the anime. It just seems that it's a bit jumbled up chronologically. Some things are in the first episode that only happen more than halfway through the anime (like Mitsuo), but it seems like a well done adaption so far.
On a side note: Koshiba Fuka seems to have pretty much mastered the death glare and murderous intent Minare has in the anime, it's pretty terrifying ;)
On Sashidashinin wa, Daredesuka? Apr 23, 2023
It's a pretty enjoyable drama, actually the first high school themed one I liked in a while that wasn't comedy.
But oftentimes it felt like a swinger club a psychologist recommended. There are way too many characters with way too many life altering but quickly solved problems who switch partners every other episode. So if you blink there's a chance you miss or forget who's who and who's with whom half of the time. It would've been way better if they concentrated more on the 7 or 8 pretty well written characters with the most screen time to better explore them and their problems instead of giving what felt like 20+ characters an episode or two to voice and solve theirs.

On a more personal note, man am I glad I'm not part of this generation. I know all this SNS and Youtube stuff is probably cranked up to eleven, but even if it would be 1/3 of what's going on in this class I'd go insane. Also, can someone please give these kids something to eat? Everytime I saw these girls in their "school uniforms" I was afraid their legs are going to snap if they make a wrong move. Especially Kouzawa Sara, probably because she's the main character and had the most screen time. I don't know if it was always like that, but I really started to notice it in all of the recent youth centered dramas. An extreme example was Suzuki Yuki in "JK kara Yarinaosu Silver Plan". I actually had to look away every time her legs were shown because I found it pretty alarming.
