Title My Safe Zone
Two things you can be sure of when you watch a Channel 3 GL: everybody's rich and the women all wear high heels all the time, even if they stand in a kitchen for multiple hours a day.
Did I miss something in Lin's backstory? Her mom talks about how much they struggled growing up all the time but they still live in a huge house that would probably cost a million dollars in an average small city in the US or western Europe. Why not let them all live in modest homes for a change? Then the characters would at least have some kind of illusion of realism for me.
To the series: It kind of had a "drama of the week" format feeling to me. Like all those detective series from Japan for example. One case every episode that gets solved in the same or halfway through the next and then on to the next case. The naivety of Lin and constant jealousy from Jane didn't really help. At least it was better than both TSOU and Only You, but that was mainly because of the two actresses.

A lot of half-baked plot lines. Some ideas were abandoned half-way through or even right away before they could form. "Jane" often behaved like a grade schooler who needed to be fed how society and sexuality works. The acting was pretty awkward, especially at the beginning of the series, but the more they knew each other as characters the better it got in my opinion. The directing and camera work was also pretty shaky. All those strangely timed closeups when more than two people have a conversation completely threw me off at times, especially when the camera cut to people who weren't even speaking and they looked like they aren't supposed to be on screen right now.
It's a "switch your brain off" comedy with some pretty funny scenes, not more, not less. Which is absolutely not a bad thing in Thai GL, with all their "life or death" and "getting controlled by other people or their own demons" scenarios.
Also, I don't know how (university) students in Thailand talk... but the americanization of the subtitles on WeTV was absolutely horrifying. Like "slay" and "throw shade" etc, almost as bad as Netflix subs for Japanese media. I was actually just waiting for a "you're cooked, bro" or something. Please just translate accurately, there's no need for current "US slang terms" in subtitles.

Finally! I thought I was going crazy 🫠 This Serie is stupid as hell and everybody seems to love it so much.…
To be completely honest, I didn't even really notice the crying because there were too many inconsistencies and bad writing in every episode that distracted me from what was actually going on. I also probably skipped a good deal of it because, I guess, that happened in a lot of scenes that didn't make any sense for me, like when her father literally imprisoned her.
I'm not a fan, to say it lightly, of those two either way... They get way too much PR for the actual quality of the series (plural, I gave TSOU a 5/10 or something) they act in and the only chemistry they have together, in my honest opinion, is on a red carpet as each other's accessory. From what I read so far, their 3rd series will be the exact same as the first two, a lot of melodrama, crying and parent problems, so I'll probably skip that one completely.

The classic Netflix "oh, a foreign drama with an English title... LET'S CHANGE IT, just for the heck of it!". Makes total sense.
On Unlimited Love Mar 3, 2026
I've rarely seen a drama/series with so many forgettable characters assembled into one story. I've seen a few comments speculating they tried to find a new couple that clicked with the audience... but if I'm honest it had the opposite effect on me. Next time there's a drama with any of them I'll think twice if I even watch it. The drama is basically 4/5ths just them doing odd tasks in teams of 2 while one is flirting with the other who seemingly has no romantic interest and then somehow these teams were all couples in the last episodes.

I've also seen YouTube mini-series with more production value than this. It's like they put all their money in make up and outfits and forgot that there's more to a series than that. All in all the second worst full-length Thai GL I've seen so far (but still better than B-Friend).

Edit: I almost forgot... Does anyone know why this girl "Wolf" is completely missing in the group pictures at the beginning and end of episode parts? She has some of the most screen time in the first few episodes, but it's like she's not even part of the main cast.

Native Title: 映画 - The native title on here is literally just "Eiga", which means movie. I think something went wrong there because the original title slipped into the aka section. You can't even edit the original title to get it approved, hence why I write a comment.

they cause they’re nonbinary
Seems like you don't know much about Asia and their school-, especially all-girls-school, culture. It has nothing to do with me being straight (I'm ace if you want to be exact). And it's not an identity, it's a sexual orientation. Regardless, to give you a non-Thai example of what I was eluding to (in my parenthesis): One of my best friends, who taught at a Japanese all-girls' high school for over a decade had, on average, five couples per year in her courses. And she remembers maybe three or four students out of at least 50 from those couples who actually (admittedly) had a romantic same-sex attraction after they left high school because she was kind of interested what became of them a few years later at reunions. Some of them even married while still in or shortly after university. It's called "experimenting", "curiosity", "romantic friendship" or even "queerplatonic" if you want a modern term, just to give a few examples.
Look, I'm not saying that they can't be LGBTQ just because they went to an all-girls' school, it's just that it doesn't mean "I'm bi/a lesbian" if a Thai GL actress says she was in a same-sex relationship once when she was at such a school. Most of the time they just give a non-committed answer anyways if they're asked about their orientation to not drive away people who like fan service, just like their patented "love is love".

also keeping on because of yuri LOL. and yeah, this is the male lead's acting debut, he only entered showbiz this…
Unfortunately that happens way too often. This is probably the most annoying thing in the Japanese entertainment industry. Idols are the absolute kings/queens of TV and they get drama roles handed on a silver platter if they are in a high budget group or on enough popular magazines. There's so many dramas that could have been good and got ruined because they had to cast some talentless idol, just to promote them or their group. Best example is gravure Idol Asakawa Nana and every drama she starred in as an important character, at least until 2024. She has absolutely no talent for acting and only gets cast because her scantily clothed boobs are on a lot of popular magazines.

I wanted to wait till I complete it (ep11/14 now), but I don't know if I will get there, been skipping a lot since ep5 or 6 I think. Sorry for the long comment in advance. Edit: I gave up in Ep13, the "script" finally hit stupidity rock bottom for me.

What is this? This seems like they had a budget of 500k USD and used up 495k on the actors, their make-up/clothes and the sets. There was no thought going into the script or the story, at all. Just to name one example, how is it possible, especially in the age of social media and parasocials going crazy, for a father to imprison his 24 year old (!!!) successful idol/singer/entertainer daughter for days without any kind of reaction from fans or media? If she's ill, she could at least make a statement on her social media accounts or whatever, but he even took her phone away. She has her own income, house and everything, there's no rational reason why that should be possible. That was the point for me when I thought "ok, let's just skip through it".
But there's so many idiotic decisions going on here. The bodyguards with the 5cm long penny heels. The "almost deadly wound" from which she bled so much that she almost fainted, but they were probably afraid to make her 1% less beautiful, so they went with a graze that looked like she got scratched by a cat. The "generational backstabber" accusations are extremely crazy, too. I know Asian culture is a lot of "like parents, like child", which is pretty stupid, but this series cranks it up to eleven because she didn't even grow up with her father except for a few years, when the stepbrother tried to bully her and she didn't want anything to do with her family even then. The constant slow motion everytime they're close, even without resulting in a kiss, which would be annoying enough, is extremely taxing aswell, but that's more a subjective opinion I guess.

Second worst "produced for TV" Thai GL I've seen so far (after B-Friend). Do better Channel3. Don't only invest in things to look good, actually make it good. I was gracious because their acting was pretty good and gave it a 3/10.

Pretty predictable and very semi-professional in parts, but one of the better Thai GL Youtube mini dramas of the last few months. It's a shame JPC only seems to produce AI slop now. Their production, acting, chemistry between actresses and stories overall are/were way better than H'our for example.

You could also watch it for free with subs on the original Youtube channel. Which, by the way, supports them.

Where did you find for the previous eps?
Sorry, you misunderstood. These kiss.whatever sites steal the subs from drama-otaku and other sites, remove the credits and put ads over it to make money themselves, even though the people who actually translated the subtitles put a lot of work into it for free. Drama-Otaku is free, but you need to register (and I don't know if it's open or not).

Go to drama-otaku.com and register. all those kiss.whatever sites steal their content and monetize it, which is why such a site needed to be made in the first place and a lot of subs are behind pay walls nowadays.

Not to squash anyone's expectations, but the whole yuri plot is just implied. It's basically a story about best friends. The only thing that makes it yuri is the fact that the Mangaka said in an interview that they're actually dating and that it was released in a yuri manga magazine. You don't see anything about them being in a relationship or even in love in the Manga, and I guess therefore in the drama (I haven't seen it yet), itself. It's really cute and wholesome though for what it is.

it was such a pleasant show, i don't understand people's ratings here sometimes...
TL;DR: KDramas are totally westernized and thus get higher rated because of higher production value, more money and westernized direction and acting, while JDramas are mostly made for the native market which a lot of people see as a detriment because they're often very understated when it comes to production and people immediately think the direction and acting are bad because it's different.

Grammatically speaking, when you say "an older woman" it doesn't mean She is a senior citizen, it simply…
I understood "an older woman" more like "10 years older" or if he's in his early 20s she'd be in her mid to late 30s. That's why I was confused in how they'll make this work. But of course, generally speaking you're right and that could be the case aswell, it's just a matter of how you understand the wording.

Wow, this show really had some issues.. Yikes! please immediately fire the lighting technician, sound editor,…
I dropped it because of the subs, they are Google Translate, probably directly off of Youtube, and just left as is. I didn't really understand 30 - 40% of what's said in the first episode because the translation didn't make any sense at all. I hope there'll come a day when people (and especially channel owners) realize that you just can't auto translate (word for word) Asian languages into English, which is what Google Translate does.

So Youtube is the cut version and the "TV" version is uncut? Lately I think all the companies don't want to upload on YT anymore because of all the stupid AI changes they made and videos they randomly delete... it's really a shame what happened to that site.

Never seen a decrease in quality between season 1 and 2 since One Punch Man. Any anime fan probably knows what I'm talking about.

For those who don't... I wrote a review because my comment got pretty long and I didn't want to be a nuisance.
