We are starting to see hints of complexity in Jade that weren't really present in the previous episode. Jade is most definitely overcompensating for something with his over the top and loud personality. Most likely some sort of trauma. I really do not think he's as happy as he tries to convince everyone he is. The scene where he falls to the ground scared, seemed darker to me than comedic. He calls out for his siblings very desperately and I wonder if something happened to him where no one came to help. (Maybe this is the reason why his family seems kinda overprotective of him?) His conversation with Bas alludes to him having bigger issues and just ignoring them. I really liked how they showed us that he is also a good listener and perceptive when he isn't involved, like this is the real reason why he has friends, because he cares for people.
I liked how straightforward the rest of the characters are. Starting with Gus and his pursue of Tong, and followed by Mai being upfront with Uea about his feelings for Jade. Uea being frustrated with Jade's obliviousness towards Mai had me cackling. I love how Uea and King are totally Jade's parents. Uea being the understanding supporting one and King trying to challenge Mai with drinking, to see what he's made of.
Also, why are terrible singers so eager to sing at karaoke, i cry
Boring, tedious, repetitive, stagnant and FF, FF, FF. Perhaps I’ll just check back in for final episode. I’m…
Wait, just to clarify, I think she just dated the ex for a little bit. They said he pursued her for 5 years and when they finally started dating she realized he was cheating on her.
Starting off with the good: this couple is adorable and has a+ chemistry, it was so fun watching them be cute.
Shun Yu’s line in that last ep when he’s arguing w his mother in law… favorite line of the year.
“If you can’t afford him, I will.”
Like damn boy, where did that come from. I died.
The bad: drama for the sake of drama is so frustrating. It just left a sour taste for me, and the last ep wasn’t enough cuteness to completely wash it out.
Ok. I'm sure this show is going to be veryyy polarizing. Like I can already see the 50,000 comments of people saying they don't like Jade or the style of comedy, since that's not me, let's move on.
This one is going to be so fun. It's already fun, and ridiculous. Jade is embarrassing but a good time. (He's as cringe as he is cute.) Mai also seems like such nice guy (and it freaking helps that Tutor is playing him, that is the most gorgeous man ever, I will talk about him all day). I love that he's in tune with his feeling and is very straightforward. Jade needs someone like Mai, because that man is in la la land and just doesn't get it.
From the preview we can see that Uea (and probably King) will be in the in on Mai's crush on Jade, and I love that for them. (King and Uea for the win, I'm still so into them guysss, give them screen time and set them loose) It'll be fun to see the shenanigans everyone gets into to get Jade on the right page, because that man is reading a whole different book.
Lastly, I love the trainee/mentor dynamics. I love the trainees (Gus has already locked his target on Tong. Those two are going to be such a cute couple.) and I love the mentors. They are going to make a great friend group.
(After the trailer I was kind of scared that that was going to be the whole show, but I'm so glad they showed most of that in the first episode.)
Like... to an extent I get Wal because if your best friend is meeting a gangster, of course you have to tell them, but like this man takes the whole "best friend" persona too far. He followed Guy to his meetup by snooping into his phone on his one month anniversary with his girlfriend and ignored her call to fight over Guy with Thiu. Like home girl needs to dump him fast because he doesn't love her, he's too obsessed with Guy.
Also, I'm kind of glad that Guy found out about Thiu's occupation already, because he needs to know this if there's going to be any progress to their relationship. I just love how Guy is becoming Thiu's safe place from his sketchy life.
Aaaaah-- I just hit fast-forward through this episode because I knew it was going to make me angry. I think I need to just not watch it until I can quell my anger with ep 10 next week.
Lovely show. Lovely couple. Amane was endearing. Ryuji is simply the greenest flag to ever green. Definetly a contender for drama boyfriend of the year. This show is one of those that just warm the heart, will definetly be rewatching.
I want moreee. The pacing is great and all, but I'm already antsy to get these two together 😂
Guy is adorable and Thiu is so freaking smitten with him already. He's gone, we can't save him anymore. It's over. He's in love. 😂
Wal can go **** himself. Like, bro, you have a girlfriend. Leave Guy alone, he's trying to get over you and you know it. Plus he doesn't even know Thiu so what right does he have to accuse him of getting Guy drunk. He's just selfish and greedy. I can already predict what sort of bs he's going to pull.

P.S. This comment section is so boring.
