I keep seeing the whole Boston was villanised rethoric when he absolutely wasn’t. Nick was his redemption arc. He was someone who loved him and understood him, but loving Ton wasn’t healthy for Nick. They where just not a good fit. Him sleeping around isn’t a crime or something evil, but he had to learn to treat those who cared for him with love (mew, cheum, ray, nick). I think that at the end he figured it out, and he will be a better person for it.

I’m sorry but like Mew had every right to not give him a chance. Are we out here acting like we’d all forgive our friends if they slept with our partner ? Cheum made up with him which was sweet and I’m glad, but Mew doesn’t have to. People like Boston rarely change, it was pretty realistic to me.
I’m hoping at the very least Nick and Boston break up. I don’t see any future and I still have hopes for Nick…
Yesss, you and I are on the same page. At least they kinda made me feel bad for Top when Mew started messing with Boeing. But Ton, no way he’s changed this easily and no way he’d change his plans for NY for Nick. Like I get he might be fond of nick because he was a friend to him in his lowest of lows, but Boston is Boston and should keep being Boston. Dan was so much better for Nick. I’m really hoping that at least they leave us with an ending where there’s hope/hint for Nick and Dan, since they work together and all.
SandRay was by far my favorite couple, but I’m Ray biased. That man was a walking mess but at least he had a back story worthy of his drama. Plus his relationship with Sand was so dramatic, there’s no way they aren’t endgame. They had the highest highs and lowest lows. I am invested 😂
Yao Shun Yu was so frustrating this episode. Like how can he just make decisions on his own and just run. Why can't he just let Shang Zhou speak? I felt so bad for SZ when he cried.
I wish they had done this whole situation sooner so that we could see more happy times.
ALN was a bit of a mess, plot wise, but I really liked this pair and I’m glad they are getting a new series. Ep. 1 was really promising, hopefully it will continue on this track.
Disclaimer : I only watched SandRay cuts because I had like 20 min before I had to leave the house, but needed my weekly dose of Ray. I’ll write another comment once I watch it all.
The scene where Ray talks to Sand’s mom was so freaking sweet. Like yes, mommy and daddy approve so you two better end up together. The whole talk was reinforcement for what Ray already knew, Sand truly loved him and cared for him. I was so freaking happy when he apologized and went for the hug and told Sand he NEEDED him. Of course you do Ray, nobody cares for you like Sand does.
Ray looks so much happier now, he’s made up with Sand, and has decided to fix himself. Instead of thinking about death he’s begun to think of a future with Sand. Thinking of the things he once wanted to do and now thinking about doing them with Sand. He even wants to make his own money to spend it on Sand! (Tbh I don’t think Ray’s dad would mind if he spent money on Sand, like that man saved his child’s life. I’d throw money at him too.)
Moving on, I’m laughing here, because I can’t beleive the day has come where I get to shit talk about Sand.
Sand was being wishy washy at the end of this episode. When Ray said he trusted him he had this weird look on his face. When Boeing showed up, I don’t know if Sand would have introduced Ray as his boyfriend if Ray hadn’t done it. The whole “you can leave” and “I’m not going with you” was weird af because hadn’t they just been super happy and flirty while Sand tried out the new guitar Ray bought him???
A new guitar being symbolism for a new relationship, no?
Ray gave Sand a chance to fix the Boeing issue on his own and Sand didn’t take it. Ray may be a little aggresive about it, but he’s made it very clear that he doesn’t share (we all know the thresome is a bluff).
Ray was so hot in that preview tbh, either Sand get’s rid of Boeing or he will. The drama seeking part of me wants Ray to do it, because we all know that man is crazy for a living— but I think Sand has to straight up tell Boeing that he chooses Ray for this plot to mean anything.
Am I the only one who liked Dan and Nick together (besides the daddy thing bleh)??? Anyway, seems like it’s over now, oh well. I don’t really feel anything for BostonNick as a couple rn tbh, but I do feel mad on Boston’s behalf for the Atom thing. That little lying pos and then his three “friends” ganging up on him. Nah.
Moving on, Mew is getting on my nerves. If he’s going back to Top, can he just stop being backhanded about it. Like, really forgive him or drop him. Done.
RaySand. Ray did nothing wrong this ep, you can all fight me. The whole Sand thing looked really bad from his point of view. Like imagine finding out the person you love was dating you for money. I’d break down too. Of course it was a misunderstanding but like I get Ray. Bless his dad though for clearing things up. I’m also glad Ray returned to therapy.
For that last scene, let me just say: KHAOTUNG THE ACTOR THAT YOU ARE.
Lastly. Boeing. Oh Boeing. This man is every-freaking-where. Is shit stirring his job???
I don't watch dramas for perfect characters and ideal relationships. That's for real life. I'm also old enough to not idealize this sort of toxic relationship, so I'm not going to go into how unhealthy this is blah blah blah
This show is so good. The vibes are impeccable, as only the Japanese are capable of. Both actors are extremely attractive and so nice to look at. The acting was great too. My point is, this show has a way to easily pull you into this strange quirky world of Mizuki and Yoh, where miscommunication runs rampant, and the two struggle (and fail) to make the other understand just how deeply their bond runs. Yes, they're dysfunctional, but they made me laugh, smile at their cuteness, and partake in the tension that came with their misunderstandings. It's easy to like this show when you don't try to fit it into a perfectly shaped square, because fyi it wasn't meant to fit.
