And do you know what is the worst? When drama starts with presenting the girl as bright, clever and talented but all her actions after the first episode prove the contrary. I think it is even more tragic than heroines who are stupid but drama acknowledges it, like in It started with a kiss or You`re beautiful. But when a girl is presented as clever and practical I often find myself asking: What the hell are you doing? Agrh, I hate that.

You are so right. Just now I am watching It started with a kiss (Taiwanese) and I can`t stop wondering how can she be sooo stupid. And I am not talking about the school but her decision making is disastrous. But this is the case with majority female leads. Sometimes I am in more or less tolerant mood (as I was when watching You`re beautiful), sometimes I wish I could slap her, mostly when she endangers hero by her stupid actions (hellooo, Soo Ji Woo in Time between dog and wolf, Oh Mok Dan in Gaksital, ... ). But sometimes her simplicity is just insufferable. I had to take a pause in watching It started with a kiss. I could not stand her. I wonder how the show was able to score such a popularity with this girl. Oh

I really don`t understand how come 11(!) people gave this drama score when it has not aired yet. I know there are always some "seers" in this kind of sites, but 11?
Anyhow, I liked the trailer a lot and I look forward to this one.

You are absolutely right. I watched the video and they look adorable. I am adding this to my PTW list as I can`t watch it right now.

Okay, I am too lazy to write a complete review, but I have to say this: This is one of best movies I have ever seen. Charming performances, very pleasant atmosphere and overall good feeling. Yes, there were some minor drawbacks: the heroine sometimes reacted really slowly (like over the top shy) and the movie felt somewhat long. But that is not necessarily bad thing, because that just means you get to enjoy more of it. But it feels peaceful and lovely. I really recommend.

Now this is the synopsis that picked my interest. It looke like something that is less plagued by clichés than it is common.

This is definitely my cup of tea. I love the quirky humor tossed here and there. And Han Ji Min is great. I saw her in quite a few dramas but this is my favorite role of hers. I couldn`t even recognize her. All the characters are quite well distinct.
The plot was surprising for me. It was the first then that I heard of repression of Christianity but mainly investigation of personal story is always more interesting than some state affairs like plotting overthrowing the king or so. Here I was really really curious what happened to her.
Overall this is very enjoyable movie. Maybe not a top notch but it always improves my mood.

can anyone tell me how good this movie is?
I saw it a very long time ago so I don`t remember precisely but I enjoyed watching. It was quite suspensuful,it had interesting surroundings and some surprising characters. It was not outstanding (otherwise I would have recalled more I believe) but it is definitely worth watching.

It's a pleasant story,it portrays how a housewife is perceived in our days and age.Even though marriage is required…
I like your characterization. You are even quite tamed :-) You say her husband treated her bad. Well, I wanted to smash the screen when I saw him. I was burning with rage how not only her husband, but also other members of her family treated her. I admit I know practically nothing about Japanese culture (so I don`t know if this is common reality or it is just hyperbolized for the sake of story) but I was frustrated beyond belief how (almost) everybody seemed to think that once she is married she cannot ask anything else in life, as though household and raising children was everything. I was seriously mad. Even clichéd antagonist (and perhaps even overly samaritan heroine) didn`t make me so mad. Uff. You see, I watched for over a year ago but I still vividly remember that anger. Sorry for my rant, I just consider it so cruelly unfair.

Well, I definitely was surprised :-) It never occurred to me to compare it to infection. However I often see it in myself as psychiatric diagnosis - addiction as it is. It tends to come in waves even. Periods of continous dramathons and then dull periods when I just browse dramas and can`t decide what to watch, because somehow everything seems similar to something I`ve already seen. LOL Some diseases have these sinusoidal tendencies.

I believe you. I`ll give it a try when I get the mood for something more serious. However I let it get spoiled a bit for myself because I checked the ending and I don`t really like it. So I will have to gather the courage for the crying marathon. :-)

Hi, I read your article about drama craze and I just want to tell you it is absolutely brilliant. Not only completely precise and adequate (LOL, I was feeling as though reading about myself) but I also adore the form. It really is just like from some medical textbook. Your virology of family dramaaddictionviridae just killed me :-D I can`t remember having this much fun reading editorials page. By any chance, are you a doctor or a medical student?

No, I haven`t seen it. I sort of beware of melodramas. They are no really my thing. I prefer to laugh when watching dramas. But I saw him first as a kid actor in Legend (where I did not notice him much) and now I rediscovered him in Arang and the Magistrate. He totally got me there :-)
