That's exactly it, that was the main thing I hated about that ending. I overall liked the other aspects of it, but it feels so deceptive. The king isn't even told about BH being there or leaving. Sure BH mentioned the future, but it wasn't something that he took seriously or believed. He's left in the dark when the person he grew to know is replaced with the woman who hasn't even been around for months. It doesn't sit well.

Honestly, I would have even accepted an ending where they were separated and never ended up together at all. It would have been better than a character we spent no time with reaping the rewards of BH's efforts you know? It's been a while since a drama had me flipping my opinion at the last episode, but what can you do?

It doesn't really explain it though :"D They literally warned that they wouldn't know when or how he would reincarnate... and then he didn't actually reincarnate. They stated that in the last episode and then he returns, the same as ever but he's human. And then he might not actually be human cause of the last few minutes. The myth is a cool idea if they wanted to indicate it, but they didn't mention anything about it. It was all a focus on reincarnation. It feels like weak writing.

I haven't looked into it so I'm not sure if the team said anything about it. But I do know that it left a lot of people confused :"D

Yeah, honestly if they just focuaed on the brothers and the really great friendships im the show, it would have panned out better. I wish writers weren't so afrais of breaking those molds. There could be so much more variety to stories anc character dynamics if they gave themselves more freedom with the leads. I suppose the producers and networks are ultimately at fault for that though.

Yeah I think that could have been it. I dont think I was in a very good headspace at the time so I'll try picking it up again when it feels right. Ugh, good luck with that! I'm in a bit of a slump myself because I'm on vacation so I have a lot of free time and nothing to do with it because ee're in lockdown, so I've been binging dramas. Now I've watched so many thar they're blending together lol. 18 Again was sweet and heartwarming but didn't really have much of a plot. I enjoyed it a lot though. There are a lot of fun dramas airing right now so you could pick up some of those. I'm currently keeping up with Mr. Queen, Awaken, True Beauty, and Cheat On Me. Sweet Home dropped and is great but I'm only 3 episodes in so far. Kairos just ended if you want something to binge, it left me feeling super satisfied. And Flower of Evil is a must if you missed it from earlier this year!

I liked it in the first episode and I liked their interactions early on, but the reincarnation story was boring and then as it went on and there were more important things going on but they were just doing their cheesy romance schtick, I didn't enjoy it anymore. The fact that people didn't like Rang and now people are so upset that his ending was cheated away from him really speaks to the good writing of his character. You're probably right, when you don't have a lot of scenes it's refreshing when a character shows up. But a lot tend to have fun personalities too I think. Like the FL and ML have to fit in a stereotype box, but the side characters have more freedom to be unique.

I wasn't able to get into The Fiery Priest, unfortunately. It seems right up my alley but I've tried watching it 2 or 3 times and haven't been able to get past episode 4. I don't know what it is about it. I really want to like it and enjoy it like I did Chief Kim but I haven't succeeded yet. Other people like it so it must just be a 'me' thing. I feel like I couldn't get invested in the characters. But I'm really hoping Vincenzo will be super fun and enjoyable, I need a new good show in my life with so many ending right now!

Same though. I would even watch them just going about their lives lol. Yeah, TOTNT really dropped the ball with the main romance for me. The brothers were great, but there was just no chemistry between the 2 leads and I wasn't enjoying their scenes together anymore. Meanwhile I started out not liking Rang because of his introduction, but then I loved him after learning more about him. He was done SO WELL. Ugh, what a shame. That seems to happen a lot with fantasy unfortunately. The couple starts out great, and then as time passes you just lose your enthusiasm for it. I have a habit of falling in love with side characters. It doesn't take a lot of dialogue and screen time to make a good character, so it's sad to see characters that DO get a lot of time and dialogue not living up to their roles :''D

Sometimes you just REALLY need something that you don't have to think about. And honestly Pegasus Market punishes you if you try to make sense out of it XD I looked it up!! The description doesn't sound all that interesting, but Chief Kim's summary didn't, either, so that's not deterring me lol. I definitely want to check it out!! If it's half as good as Chief Kim was then I know I'll fall in love with it.

YES EXACTLY. They were the hoghlight of the drama. There was a part where the drama started breaking its own rules and turned into a complete mess and I was like "Well..
. At least I have the Jos. I'll keep watching for them." They were fun, well written, and their interactions were the best in the show. Much better than the leads crying 4 times an episode. And honestly, same with me for TOTNT. It was falling apart a little before the last episode but not wnough for me to think poorly of it, but then the last episode hit and well.... I wrote my review lol. I honestly think there will be a few good ones this year. My hope is that they don't fall into the same pitfalls!

It's so refreshing. I love it because you don't even have to make sense of anything. If you try to, you get a headache. It's turn your brain off humour. Sadly you don't dee a lot of it. WAIT WHICH DRAMA IS HE WRITING?? I'll watch anything he writes next, just like how I'm watching Awaken for the actor XD

Yesss TKEM killed me in the beginning with how beautiful and grand it felt! And then.... the plot fell apart and it forgot its own logic lol. But i still enjoyed it for the Jo alternates! TOTNT may not have kept me happy to the end but it at least wasn't as disappointing. I saw the Desctruction one and I'm super excited for that because I'm familiar with the cast and they normally do well. There are a few others that are supernatural-esque but I can't think of the names right now. I'm sure there'll be more announced further into the year. There's still hope!

Pegasus Market is fantastic. I didn't want to finish it so I syill haven't seen the last episode lol. I absolutely adored it, it was absurd nonsense. But overall Chief Kim's characters were so well written I don't think it will ever be dethroned.

Yes omg they tend to have really fun premises, even if they don't always deliver :''D I always get drawn in by the possibilities. I'll have to continue it in the new year then! It's a bit of a dry spell for fantasy right now. Kairos is airing, but that's time travel, so it's not the same. I know after a few weeks without TOTNT I'm gonna need something to fill the void :'')
It issss it's one of my top dramas! I wanted to show it to some friends but my area's back in quarantine for the next 28 days, so I'll need to stream it or wait until we're allowed to visit each other again :'D It was almost too unique though! I wanted to watch something similar after finishing it but nothing came close. Kkondae Intern had a similar silly kind of humor to it but it wasn't half as amazing.

You and me both. The problem isn't even thst they killed him off, but that the way they did it, he died for nothing. They didn't gain enough from his loss for it to mean anything - they just traded one character in for another.

Yesss we do!! Let me know how it is further in. It's really a great category, and honestly I've mostly run out myself :'D I've resorted to sci-fi/romance and supernatural/romance. But there's always at least 1 or 2 that come out a year!

It's honestly amazing. I binged watched it over the course of a week I was so addicted, and all of the characters were great. It was what actually got me to give business dramas a try, and the whole reason I gave Awaken a try is because Nam Goong Min is starring in it lol. And now I'm in love with it because he feels so similar yet different to how his character in Chief Kim was XD

I started that one! I put it on hold cause I have too many ongoing dramas to keep up with lol. What I watched was really good, and I love the FL. Fantasy romance is such a weakness, is2g makes up half my finished dramas. Chief Kim is the best business/comedy woth the best bromance hands down!

Totally get you about the romance, I have to watch something more story-driven right now because I've finished a lot of romcoms and I'm all tapped out. Uncanny Counter has been good for that, Awaken's been pretty interesting so far too, and Kairos though there are plotholes appearing. Hope you find something good!!

Yes definitely! I think this could have been an amazing drama but the writing got sloppy after the midway point and both the characters and the plot suffered for it.

Agreed! I really hope the 2021 dramas blow us out of the water. So many bad endings this year lol.

It's good! I haven't watched this week's episodes yet but last week was fantastic. All 4 of the main characters have amazing chemistry together and I'm excited to see where it takes us :)

RIGHT? Fantasy and supernatural dramas are my all-time favourites, I love them so much, but lately they keep just dropping the ball;; I'm hoping The Uncanny Counter will actually stay good until the end.
