Yan Zheng and Qi Min were both toned down a lot. on comparation Qi min younger brother Sui Yuanqing is more or less similar in the novel.

Based on novel Qi min don't care about his brother, he's lying and they aren't blood brothers either but if I remember his younger brother did cared a bit about his older brother

The novel is so big, they could worked with more newer actors, it seams they wanted to piss up everybody.

Dylan shouldn't be ML or if he chose to be, he should accept second billing and be a supporting role for FL, the story is about her

Both of them had relationships during their break up, not only ml.

It will likely change in drama, they did the same in speed and love, they erased fl previous relationship or theyll make it platonic, precisely because people cant handle drama characters acting .like normal people.

Spoiler i guess, they are more acquaintance, ml and fl barely spoke a few words when their parents were married for a very short time, both of their parents were shitty people, fl and ml had no relationship, not siblings, not even friends, even after his father died and her mother left, Ml was finding her a burden and wanted to abandon her a couple of times. They got closer after living alone couple of years and by living, i mean surviving as 2 minors without parents.

I find both red flags for different reasons, FL is manipulative and cunning (and smart)

Ml while not red flag by nature, he has a big mouth where sometimes does and say things he doesn't mean, hes also involved in a lot of illegal works since he's young.

But both have a backstory where you'll see how they ended like this.

Im sure both will be toned down in drama.

It looks like a european setting in the past

There are 3 years between them in real life, hes born in 1999 and shes in 2002, either way in both cases thats not older man, younger woman, they are both similar ages

Tian Xiwei wasnt dubbed, in fact from memories i don't remember if she was ever dubbed in any drama i watched from her

Xu kai was dubbed

She was one of the actresses I thought pulled out in my mind lol

I get that no cdrama actress is masculine, that's not the issue, the issue is that she looks way too feminine, I don't want to give other dramas as example because there is no point but I saw more convincing gender bending roles, even from not that vast experience in cdrama world and even there I had to shut my brain from some things.

I didn't read the novel, I plan to read it after I finish the one I read it right now so not sure whats in the novel but in the drama it looks very unrealistic even with brain shut, she's not even passing as a lanky young boy, let alone as a general.

But well I guess if is interesting enough, I could close my eyes and shut down my brain completely lol

I like the story but is so unrealistic, gender bending is always a bit of brain shut but this is too much

My bigger complain, I like Zhou Ye but shes not realistically good playing as a male,

1. Couldn't they could cast somebody thinner and shorter as her brother, she was replaced by a man taller and bigger and nobody noticed
2. ML knew her since childhood, never noticed her voice and actions?
3. Zhou ye has a very feminine face, soft features, thin body, short frame, she simply looks very feminine, putting her in a ponytail don't make her male looking
4. Acting, actually she's acting very girly, not cheerful but very girly, especially with ML, I don't think I saw as girly gender bending before
5. ML is one of more manly looking leads and looks like could fit as a general so FL alongside him looks even more ridiculous trying to play as a general

Like i said, you need some brain shut in every gender bending but this drama is making it impossible even with brain shut

Story wise is okey, I liked that ML find out she's a girl fast, I don't like when ML find out at the end or later part, I like that is fast placed too.

It will be better and more realistic if they don't end together. I was actually praying during last eps for them to not end together. ML deserve better honestly.

If they wanted to throw a bone to viewers, give us a nice love interest for ML.

I just ended the novel and I must say the writer was out to get poor Jin Zhao, I read and wondered how much a single person can carry and the writer "delivered" until the end with the accident. At least he got his happy ending because the journey was surely crazy. One thing I appreciate, he had the best friends which stayed with him though blood, sweat and tears, literally.

I actually quite liked the novel, wasn't what I expected from teaser and people comparing it with other shows.

ML was a gentleman and soft hearted for FL and you can tell at one point he lived only for her.

Hopefully not part of some love triangle, I'll be mad if they randomly add a love triangle, the drama doesn't need it.

FL wasn't exactly a broken soul in Speed and Love, in fact she was pretty much opposite, spoiled and pampered with no worry in life, her mother spend all her attention on her, her only step back was her parents divorce but I wouldn't say she was broken because of it, maybe just affected how she saw marriage life.

She herself said her only worry in life was school and sleep.

The type of drama will be better without love triangle. I have no idea why she's still entangled SML after knowing he killed her in previous life...

SML has way too much screentime and he's annoying too so last 10 or so eps I skipped around both FL and SML scenes, FL become obsessed with saving SML which wasn't interesting and quite annoying too. FL's too forgiving for SML in general.

Now back to rest of drama, I liked the couple, their relationship grew more and they had quite a good chemistry, with baby steps but they tried to communicate better, I also liked that the fact that he didn't killed her was resolved fast, I also liked their bickering relationship. I liked FL and her brother bond and her trying to help him change his fate.

But beside the leads relationship when a 3rd party wasn't involved, I didn't find the politics interesting and the drama will benefit from less eps, less SML, a stronger villain and would be better if SML never remember his past life, him becoming villain was way to predictable and uninteresting considering he killed both FL and ML in their previous life, which is revealed in the beginning.

First half was way better than second half.

She's on and off, there are times where she's smart, cool and easy going, there are times she's condescending, arrogant and for a woman which lived 2 lives, a bit immature.

The thing which annoyed me was her hypocrisy.. For a woman which asked the divorce after seeing her husband holding a sick and fainted woman, she herself is extremely touchy with SML, in past life and even present life. Also she reacted strongly when she though her husband killed her but she forgat one second later when she knew SML killed her .

So she's divisive, I liked how strong and smart she was, if she could tone gown her excesive arrogance and stubbornness, it will be better.

Maybe the others actors didn't go dating rumors and this after long fanwars

Because of the dating rumor, they are likely keeping distance.
