this drama is sooooo good and its literally so much better than any of the dramas which are currently airing. if you came here wondering if you should watch this or not, trust me and go watch it.
i was so hyped for this series.......like i was literally so excited and now that it is there, i just..... don't wanna watch it? now especially with what's happening with them irl, i don't wanna watch it even more but its so freaking weird because istg i waited for this every single day.
this is the best bl i have ever watched and there is no exaggeration when i say that. this was more of a coming of age drama than your average bl. first of all, the story was super freaking interesting without ever coming across as too dramatic. both teh and oh-aew felt so real to me. the worst (actually the best) part of this drama is its realness. its too real and i found myself pausing it a numerous times because it got too hard to watch aka it hit me right in the feels. another thing about this drama is the ACTING. both the lead actors are so so so good at what they do. normally, the actors in a bl are so bad that it sucks to watch the show but not these two. these two are phenomenal especially the actor who plays the role of teh. i was so shocked to know that both of them are just 21?? and can we talk about the chemistry. teh and oh-aew making eye contact with each other for a few seconds has more chemistry than the entirety of some of those r rated bls (you know which ones). anyways, this is just what you need to watch if u want to watch a good show about queer people/people coming in terms with their sexuality/just a good friends to enemies to lovers trope. also the setting, aesthetics, ost of this show are top-notch.
tbh the eunwoo slander needs to stop. if u don't like his acting, that's fine. you don't have to send actors d word threats just because you want someone else to play their role. personally i think he is doing a good job playing suho. i remember when it was announced that true beauty will be made into a kdrama, y'all wanted eunwoo to play the role of suho but suddenly that has changed.
imagine choosing ton over na...... na is everything that a person wants in a partner and ton is the definition of toxicity. while na wants chon to find his happiness even if it is with someone else, ton refuses to let go of chon without actually doing something about his feelings. irl if you choose a guy like ton over na, you are not a clown, you are the whole circus.
ok so the thing that i actually like about this drama is that the actors can actually act and if you have watched thai bls recently, you will know that the actors can not act to save their life. another redeeming factor about the show is the chemistry between mike and toptap and also the humor they bring into the series. it has the best friends to lovers trope that i really enjoy which should be enough for me to enjoy the show however, there are some things about this show that are very problematic. first of all, chon likes ton which is understandable because ton is good looking but apart from that, there is literally nothing good about ton. he is dumb, dense, pushy, homophobic and misogynistic. i don't think any amount of character development can make me like him. imo chon deserves so much better. i think even that guy with glasses is better because he is rich, funny, good looking and is into guys (i think?). i was really excited about this show but as a girl, it literally hurts me when the dude in the show treats women like objects, like we are just bodies for men to use. when in reality we are SO MUCH more than that. i think the homophobia is something we have seen in the past but the misogyny really hurts differently in this one.
i am on episode 4 rn and i really like this one. i just wanna know if the FL leaves her husband in the end? because if it is a 'happy ending' with both of them still married then i will have to drop this one. sooo yeah if u have watched the drama, pls let me know.
the fact that this has so many negative reviews kind of makes me sad. but then again, this is not for everyone. this kind of realistic and bittersweet drama is for a different type of audience. as someone who got tired of that rich, bitchy and very NOT relatable female. jeong-ha is so refreshing! she is a bit more relatable and realistic kinda amazing. i love that this drama focuses on people of all ages. you can learn something from everyone- LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. if u liked 'because this is my first life' u will like this. for those who are not watching it because of the reviews, give it a shot because this one's really a gem.

on a side note, mean and plan's acting is just bad while mark and gun's acting has improved a lot. they should've rebooted kengkla and techno and made kengkla a normal person not a freaking creep that he is....... everyone would have liked that.
