ahhh i really want to write a novel at some point in my life. its just that its really difficult for me to be invested in a plot to the point i could write a full length novel but i hope it happens someday.

i agree with you completely. self-publishing is really difficult! the only successful example i could think of right now is of rupi kaur. i guess i was being too idealistic with the way i thought of the situation. i just have a philosophy that people should do what they really want to (as long as its legal) and nothing else matters. i hope by the end of the show, gene gets to publish that 'magic mystery' novel he was writing.

i kinda agree but gene is a famous (kind of) author now so people would read his books even if they are self-published. plus, a lot of people who self-publish their books advertise them on social media which gene could easily do now that he is also social-media famous (maybe?).

i just feel bad because i write poetry about the stuff i like and the stuff i am interested in and if u forced me to write about something.......... one- i would be very pissed. two- it would be one of my worst works ever. i'd rather keep writing about something i really like even if it stays hidden in my notes app forever than being forced to write something i hate and gene's not only writing something he doesn't want to but also something that literally traumatises him.

you have to realise that HBE is a kid- she is a result of her environment and her environment is cheon seo jin. her mother never gave her any motherly love, she only pressurised her to be the best and never cared about her feelings. her dad left her mom for yoon hee and remember? eun byul thought that yoon hee was the one who attacked seo jin and not vice versa. anyone in her place would go crazy. she is definitely the one who went through the worst so its not fair to hate her without taking into account- the things she went through.

a few thoughts about the last episode:

yoon hee should've at least gotten a 10 year sentence in jail like come on she killed a child.
the twins stay iconic! they are the best kids in the show.
min hyeok is the most useless character in the show like why is he even there?
if logan lee is really dead, then this show is going to go downhill real fast in season 3. logan was the one who kept things really interesting and was a pretty refreshing character and come on, we wanna see SSR and logan happy- that's all we want and all we need.
its honestly tiring how all the bad things happen to SSR like there are other characters as well.
i actually feel so bad for ha eun byul. its her parents' fault she turned out the way she did and i'm so scared about what the maid is going to do to her. i hope she gets to be happy at least once.

this was my first friday without atots in weeks and i feel sad :/

things i really want to know in the coming episodes:

will gene actually publish the....... autobiography he is writing as a bl novel?
is it just a plot hole or is there something wrong with gene's memory because he could not remember tum either
will nubsib's personality change now that he doesn't have to pretend to be a 'good kid' anymore?
who exactly is saymork and how is he related to aoey?
what bad things did aoey did in the past?

there's another BIG thing i am confused about. we all know that gene is rich which means he could just self publish his novels if he wants to? he doesn't like his boss at all and he literally has nightmares about her but he still chooses to work there as if his life depends on it when he can just quit and write about whatever he wants to because money is not really a big motive for him....

i did tell her but she said it was still weird for us to 'sleep together while hugging each other'

this episode made me unlock a memory i did not want to...........................

throwback to the day my best friend had just a gone through a breakup and she came to my house. we ate pizza, cried and ended up sleeping while cuddling each other. my mom saw us and...............she thought there was something going on between us. she literally wouldn't want me to meet her anymore and to this day, she thinks there was something between us and umm gene's dad should meet my mom...

na aegyo was one of the best characters in the show even though we really never knew her.... i just..... really feel for her. she deserved so much better than what she got.

fun fact: when the writer first read the script, there was no kissing scene in it and the writer thought that it was okay to have no kissing scene but as the series was being filmed, the writer couldn't help but sneak in to ask the director if it had a kissing scene and by that time, the director had already decided to add the kissing scene at the end.

i actually really like this show. people are too hard on this show which is okay because you are allowed to be critical of the media you consume but for me, its a real step up from the bls aired last year. even though things like consent are considered to be the bare minimum, we can all agree that some bls do not understand that so the fact that this bl actually voices out whenever something wrong is happening whether its through the perspective of gene as a writer or nubsib calling out the director in the middle of a scene or nubsib understanding that a drunk gene cannot give consent are unfortunately all things that are new to us. maybe, JUST MAYBE things will actually change a little after bls like this.

who are you to determine whether a show deserves a 8.7 or 6.7? if there were some serious issues with the show then i'd be able to understand your point but because there's not, it all comes down to personal preference

for god's sake..... let people like what they like. instead of complaining here, rate the shows that you like

its by the same writer who wrote 2gether and theory of love so i'm predicting its gonna be light and fun but nothing special

sim su ryeon and logan lee carried the entire show on their backs

same. i usually wait for a show to have at least 6-7 episodes before bingeing it but i'm glad i watched it the way i did. it really made my fridays AMAZING. it also made me realise that watching shows like this instead of bingeing can be fun too
