usually, the second seasons of shows like this are mediocre or at least not as good as the first one but AIB's second season was way better than its first one. clearly, this season was more interested in exploring the topics of morality and existence. why is someone's life more important than the others? or is life really that important? according to AIB or at least from what i gathered, everyone has different definitions of why we live and why are our lives important and friendships and love is what makes life worth living at all.
song hyeko has proved me wrong. i admit that i did not consider her a good actor prior to this but she has improved a lot. DOTS was one of the first dramas i watched and i still love it to this day so i am happy i get to watch her in this alongside my favorite korean actor lee dohyun!
Finally someone mentioned this. I forgot to bring this scene up in my review, but the way I see it is it was glorifying…
yeah i completely agree with you. this show feels very male gaze-y at times even with how they portray other female characters like showing a close up of ann’s legs in the first episode for no reason except to appeal to the male gaze.
okay we all know how strong and powerful usagi is. we know she is a badass then how in the world was an already injured niragi able to overpower her? it makes no sense. she didn't need arisu or anyone else to save her. she could've done it herself. she's stronger than niragi even if he was unharmed like why in the world would they show the assault of usagi all over again. istg this show treats its female characters like shit. don't get me wrong i'm really enjoying this but this is something that was really bugging me.
That’s really rude. I don’t get this obsession with Nadine. Would you like it if somebody said that about…
bruh everyone knows the reason why the male contestants like seulki. it is because she is 'innocent' and 'childlike' which is weird and creepy. i am blaming the men and not the women. also, it is pretty apparent that seulki is putting up a front. didn't she say in her introduction that people think she is cold? she is clearly faking her personality but people aren't ready for that conversation. secondly, i don't live in the west either. i live in asia and here, men go for women who look 'younger', are 'pure' and have more childlike features which is something that i have always found horrible. i know this because i have a baby face myself. i am only forming my opinion on the basis of what they are showing us and my own experience. the male contestants are scared of women who are strong, confident and actually have a personality. they can't take it when a woman has her own interests and opinions. they just want someone to sit still and look pretty.
i really really want jinyoung to choose nadine. who in their right mind would ever choose seulki over nadine...... these dumb mediocre men that's who.. tbh if nadine was in a show in the states or something, more people would've chosen her. the same goes for sejeong. both of them are so pretty and seem interesting but the men go for seulki and soeun..... i'm bored and tired.
haven't even started it yet but reading the comments..... ya'll think the FL is mean and she's pissing you off? oh i'm gonna love her so much. it helps that she's played by moon gayoung!
nadine going viral on ig!
nadine and her mom going viral on twitter as they should!
