since the show started i've seen people say that jeff's acting as kim isn't good and i have a lot to say about that. first of all, congrats for NOT understanding kim at all. he's supposed to be stiff, cold and poised and sometimes when actors play a character that is not emotionally expressive, people attack the actor. acting doesn't always mean showing TOO MANY emotions. sometimes, acting is subtle and sometimes the character the actor is playing is supposed to be exactly the way they portray them whether it is bible playing a very emotionally charged character or jeff playing a completely closed off character. both are good at their jobs but because vegas is someone who has a lot of emotional outbursts, we are able to recognize that bible is very good at playing vegas and because kim as a character seems to be devoid of any emotions (or that's how kim appears to the people around him), some people think that jeff is not doing his job right when that could not be far from true.
jeff understands his character to the point that he wrote all the lyrics for 'why don't you stay'. not only does he get kimhan's character but he also understands chay's character perfectly. not only that, but there's a video of jeff crying as he shows empathy for kim and chay's rocky 'relationship'. if jeff was bad at his job, he would have never been able to explain his character like that but he literally analyzed kimchay like some of us do after each episode which means that he is interested in the character and he has studied a lot for it. his acting in his three minutes long music videos (go watch the mv for complicated) is better than most of the bl actors in the industry and acting isn't even his main profession, it is singing so yeah.
