first, let us talk about vegaspete. i honestly think that their storyline is kind of rushed. it is very fast paced and as much as i like to see a completely insane relationship onscreen, i found myself asking why exactly does vegas like pete? i understand that pete was the first one to ask him if he's okay and he was the first one to show concern but i feel like the show was not able to translate these feelings in such a short amount of time and i know exactly the reason for that. they made vegas a ruthless villain. they made him diplomatic and calculative in ep 7 and emotionally erratic in every single episode since that. vegas' only problem is that he has daddy issues. i completely sympathize with that but is it really enough to redeem him and justify his actions? no.
with that said....... let's talk about the positive parts. not every single thing has a reason so maybe vegas likes pete because he just does and there does not have to be a bigger and deeper reason for that. pain attracts pain and being with vegas is painful. pete hates himself for liking pain but he can't help it, and no, i am not talking about physical pain, i am talking about the sheer emotional pain it brings to be with vegas. we cannot choose who we fall for. i think we all were focusing on the wrong things before. it's not important why vegaspete fell for each other. the important thing is that they continually choose to tend to those feelings despite knowing that being with each other is not a wise decision. it's not about why they like each other, it's about wanting to be with each other despite the destruction it is going to bring. for pete, the destruction is vegas himself and for vegas, the destruction is his tendency to love very deeply and intensely to the point that nothing else matters like his dedication to his father and his job. his love is painful for him because it's very overwhelming and consuming.
ok, now let's talk about kinnporsche.
i honestly have nothing but appreciation for kinn. in this show, kinn is the only one who has actually shown significant character development. he went from not being able to trust anyone to trusting porsche completely. he went from being cold to being warm. he was able to open his heart to love and to happiness and honestly, i am all for that. his love for porsche made him a better person.
but what about porsche? i think with this episode, we kind of got ep 1 porsche back. the porsche who does not rely on anyone else but himself, the porsche who keeps things to himself and the porsche who lies to the ones he loves. i think we all can agree that porsche majorly fucked up. right after kinn and him made a promise to share everything with each other and share their secrets with one another, porsche decides to keep another secret from kinn and decides to lie to him. after having so many fights regarding the same person, he chooses to involve vegas in his plan. if i was kinn, i would be very very angry. so while kinn goes through a character development, porsche goes through a reverse character development. i understand that porsche has to uncover what happened to his parents but after everything he has gone through with kinn, if he still thinks that kinn can betray him then i think we know who the problem is. porsche continually thinks that kinn can cheat on him, he spies on him and he keeps on choosing to trust vegas despite knowing that kinn absolutely hates vegas! porsche saying he wants to quit smoking and not actually acting up on that is funny but it is also very consistent with his personality. porsche doesn't really care about anyone else but himself and chay. we all saw that when porsche agrees to let vegas see pete again despite not knowing what he might do. porsche doesn't know anything that went down with vp- for all he knows, vegas could have killed pete or kidnapped him again but porsche does not care about anyone else but himself so he gives pete up to vegas. at the end, porsche decides to run away with vegas (AGAIN!) and then he decides to point a gun at kinn's dad without talking to kinn. kinn was ready to leave his rich ass mafia family to live with him and chay so why did porsche not trust kinn at all? he knows that kinn would choose him over his dad and even then he chose to trust whatever information vegas was giving him without consulting with kinn. why did he do that? probably, because porsche sucks or maybe he is a badly written character. idk.
apo and bible were the main slayers this episode. the acting, the facial expressions and the body language>> after watching so many bls where people can't act, it's refreshing to see a show where people are acting their ass off.
kp cemetery scene made me cry… it was just so emotional. kinn really loves porsche and i could literally feel his love. mileapo were amazing in this episode
This is my last time I'm gonna comment on Build cuz I see many fans believe that he only said all those disgusting…
i feel the exact same...contrary to popular belief, we are not having fun 'canceling' someone. it hurts that he turned out to be this way but it is what it is.
Women are often the gate keepers of misogyny. I hate to tell you, but it's true. We coddle men...always offering…
the thing is that his followers are attacking anyone who has a different opinion. like i am pretty sure that this controversy won't affect him one bit. he will continue to be employed and his past will be shielded by his diehard fans so yeah he's not gonna be affected at all and yet i can't express my opinion- which is not gonna harm anyone in any way- in peace.
men are literally evil we been known but what makes me want to go fuckin smack my head against the wall is women defending this shit. anyway i’m gonna watch 2d people do goofy things cause they can’t turn out to be bad people (i’m watching spy x family for anyone who needs a recommendation)
