i've seen a lot of absurd things on this site but calling han sohee an 'okay' actress has got to be the most absurd one yet. she absolutely nails every role she gets and there is a reason why she is the IT girl when it comes to kdramas.
if lian has never not loved him then why tf did he say so in the first episode? the math is not mathing. he could’ve just acted the way he’s acting rn and made out with kuea or whatever they like to do. i mean the date was cute so it’s alright but the plot makes no sense.
everything about diao and yi gives me the ick. that kiss made me super uncomfortable. kon diao acted so out of character? it was not a good experience to witness that scene. yikes.
the ending was….. really good. if you wanna watch dramas where nothing bad ever happens and dramas that are unrealistic af… this one is not for you. they really kept it real by giving us that ending…. it’s sad but believable. ultimately, you’re gonna have regrets in your life and there are gonna be crucial moments you’re unable to control but that’s life. hats off to the writer for making that bold choice and giving the drama a realistic ending.
i love reading ya'lls comments whether they're positive or negative. my own opinion on this show is a bit complicated. on one hand, i can enjoy this show for all its unnecessarily extra glory. i like the cast for the most part. the cinematography is great and arranged marriage is a new and interesting trope. i do like the idea of a guy having a whole secret life unbeknownst to his fiance. i like the idea of a guy underestimating his partner only to find out he's secretly a badass.
however, what i just mentioned wasn't executed well. kuea is so cool but the moment he is with lian, he comes across as childish and annoying. this show could've been so much better if kuea was actually a badass and not a pushover. this show reminds me of lovely writer where in they're actually deceiving the audience. lovely writer did this by portraying a 'healthy' and 'consensual' relationship but underneath it was loads of ancient bl bullcrap where the top-bottom dynamics are very much present. *sighs* and cutie pie does it by telling us that KUEA IS NOT LIKE OTHER BL BOYS. HE RIDES BIKES. HE PLAYS DRUMS. HE GOES TO BARS TO PLAY MUSIC and he also cries in front of the guy who has lowkey kidnapped him and tells him that he understands why he does not love him. COME ON. kuea's character had so much potential and nunew does a good job at giving us a glimpse at what kuea could've been but unfortunately, we will never get that. what i hated the most in this episode? kuea could've been casted in a big company or whatever if only he stopped caring about what lian thinks of him and just went out of the house. lian really sabotaged his career and i'm supposed to find it cute? at the end of the day, it was more of kuea's fault than lian's for choosing not to go but i digress.
also kuea told his friends that he's gonna break off his engagement with lian and then proceeds to go out on a date with him? i'm sorry but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for his character. in the last few minutes of the episode when kuea cried and lian kissed him, all i could think was that kuea is pathetic af and he really needs to grow a backbone and be single for a few years until he is ready for an actual relationship but he's prolly getting married soon so that's not what's gonna happen.
i did enjoy the college parts. this show is at its best when kuea is with his college friends. i just like watching nunew vibe. i like some parts of this show. i really do vibe with this show a lot of times but this show is toxic and anyone who's sane can decipher that.

he basically said that he loves nunew as much as he loves his family and aof (the director of both cutie pie and why r u) and that it's for real and none of it is fanservice.
zee is one guy who takes his job too seriously.... like chill out bruh and let the other person breathe. i wouldn't have said this if he hadn't done the same thing with saint. like i'm not dumb enough to believe that zee and nunew are real because after this show gets wrapped up, nunew is gonna run in the opposite direction. it's really messed up to lie just for the promotion of the show. to his credit, fs has really helped this show. the age gap was already creepy enough and now it has seeped into their personal lives.
i dislike most of the characters but that has never stopped me from watching a show. is it toxic? kinda. it's nubsib level creepy and nowhere near tharntype level creepy (till now) so i a am at least not grossed out by the characters.
