It's not a movie about a marginalized community, it's a romcom made to be released on Valentine's Day.
You had to have known that it wouldn't cater to you going in to it, to be fair, it was very clear what this movie was about. It's an odd thing to criticize.
I don't think Ben acts like a boy at all. This isn't a post-homophobia world. He was somewhat nervous to come…
Just to counter your first point a little, I don't think Ben hides the fact that he's gay in general. People in his live stream in the first episode knew Leo was his ex (you can see the comments after Leo types MINE saying things like "oh my God, it's Leo" "Leo, as in...the evil ex?" "True! Evil ex!", so his audience at the very least knows he's gay.) Coming out to a close friend in person, especially one you haven't seen in years however, is a completely different story. You could be the most out and proud person on the planet, but coming out to someone in your personal life is always going to be a little bit scary when you don't know how they'll take it.
There are so many noticeable cuts throughout this show, the scenes are very jumpy. I hope we get an international uncut version/director's cut someday.
I get that people are understandably mad at Akira for what he did, but as someone who has had to live so much of my life for someone else, I get why he did what he did. His sister pointed it out herself, Akira has spent so much of his life trying to live up to his parent's expectations, and to an extent, try to fit himself in to the mould that he thought society at large expected. He made himself so miserable trying to become what he once thought was "normal", because he thought he HAD to, until he reached his breaking point and couldn't do it any more. If you're someone who has lived life how you wanted, it's definitely easy to see his actions as selfish, but I think it was more out of a misguided attempt at self-preservation and born from a desire to please.
I been reading all the comments and I dont know if I should watch it or not. So, from 1- 10 . can someone tell…
Depends on what you're looking for, but I'd definitely recommend it in its own merit. It's funny and sweet, with really solid acting and chemistry between all the characters, and I'm having such a good time with it so far.
Source? Please don't say that we can go on Twitter to find out, because that is not an argument.
He basically made a joke during an interview that he would only ever return to doing BL shows if he was desperate for money, which many fans (particularly LGBT+ fans) found insulting and disrespectful.
Before this show aired I was worried about the length of the episodes, concerned that things would feel rushed or half-done, but somehow this show manages to make excellent use of its time and I'm never left feeling wanting.
No. In the novel, the swim team seniors were looking at pictures on the Cute Boy page and they read a comment pointing out that Team had turned eighteen just a month ago. Dean then points out that they had all gone to the swim training camp three months prior, which means that Win and Team first had sex when Team was seventeen (though Win didn't know at the time).
I still worry that the Boun and Prem parts are going to be bait, in the original trailer it read to me like they were being manipulated by black magic to get all hot and heavy to ruin their reputations, but we'll see! I'm excited to see them both in a series again.
