This was light. Super light. Their natural acting as best friends was evident based on their actions like when they fight, etc. By the time I got to like the ML's acting, the drama ends lol. I think this is his first lead role? Judging by the end, you could see him much more comfortable. I think Jun's 2nd lead role will be much better just like when I watched Cha Eun Woo in his first lead role in My ID is Gangnam Beauty, but when I watched him in True Beauty, you can see he got the hang of acting. I hope to see Jun in more dramas in the future.
Someone recommend me a drama with this ML! He look so handsome. I finished this drama even though I really didn't like it. Had potential but they were going about it all wrong.
Budget for this drama looks to be good. Plot was okay for me, I like the backstory of the ML. the FL was wishy-washy with her attitude/emotions at times. The 32 eps was too much, there were some draggy parts but anyways, it just means I can see more of the ML.
I also love that the moment when he realized he liked her was expressed properly because prior to that moment, he always thought of her as a younger sister (which was shown through a lot of his actions too) and that first snow moment is honestly one of my favorite scenes. It was then I realized all Duan Jiaxu needed was some love and care.
Came here to say Hidden Love is 100% my favorite cdrama. I've watched a lot of other cdramas after this and there are so many contemporary cdramas that are lacking so much plotwise. Hidden Love was written beautifully that there is a certain theme per episode and not one scene was made just for the hell of it and as a filler scene. Everything was so cohesive, from the chemistry of the cast to the soundtrack! AH THE OST. Really cannot get over this drama.
Came here because I wanted to say FL is getting on my nerves and I'm not even 4 episodes in. And now reading the reviews, I don't even want to continue watching.
This drama is so light and so much fun! All young girls who had crushes on older guys will understand the feeling, the writing on this story is perfection, clearly showing every step our FL is going through without it being too draggy and exaggerated. The transition of the FL from middle-school girl to high-school girl to college girl was very seamless and nice that you automatically know our FL has matured or grown up compared to previous scenes.
The sibling energy is 10000000!!!! They fight and talk like real-life siblings, I laughed so hard when he tried to tutor her, and then yelled MOM. Definitely my favorite non-leads moment.
The chemistry between the ML and FL WAS *CHEF'S KISS* 💋. From the growth of their friendship to their relationship, the writing was flawless without it being to suffocating/weird/unnecessary. I've watched the FL on Please Feel At Ease Mr. Ling a few weeks back, and I was shocked at her glowup! She is so beautiful omg.
The 25eps was definitely enough for this drama. Just the right amount of funny moments, *kilig" moments, giggly moments, and crying moments because I definitely felt for the ML.
I made a mdl account just so I could review this series. This is genuinely one of the most amazing dramas I've ever watched when it comes to the Life genre/tag. It reminded me of the way I felt when I was watching Hometown Cha 3x. The cinematography of this drama is incredible, the casting - from the kids to the elderlies - was so fitting, and the pace of the romance between the leads was just right, they grew as individuals but also grew together when they weren't even official yet. I was very shocked at the amount of episodes but they really tackled a lot of daily issues and emotions in this show, it immediately became one of my top cdramas to date.
Update: dropped. I am a shipper but to the same extent as the FL was with her OTP?? That was on another level lol
