Even with all the negative reviews on this, I still watched it just for Lee Min Ki. Tbh, this drama was aaaaall over the place but LMK's acting never fails even with the bad script. I liked how he switches from the cold character to the expressive and sassy one, makes him more handsome imo. That 49 days trope seriously came out of left field like wtf???? It had a huge impact on the story but it was explained badly. Their scene on the bed when ML was thanking FL was heartbreaking and it was my favorite part. I hate this ending seriously AL:SKJDWOAI:
Rewatched this again. And I'm still in love with it the same as when I first watched it. The tone of the drama was more like jdrama for me - with the slow burn and all that. The side-story of Ho Rang and Won Seok was my least favorite. ML was neutral most of the time so whenever he cried, I cried as well. This was a 10/10 drama for me but the ending left me a bit unsatisfied, I wanted more of them as an official couple! But I understand that this show was meant to show the firsts - the first kiss, the first confessions, the first show of emotions, etc. And it was ended at the perfect time.
There were so many missed opportunities for these two, they could've gotten together earlier but like I said, this is a show of firsts, and it was the FL's first relationship - I think it was realistic that she keeps backing out and saying the wrong things, becAUSE IT IS HER FIRST. The breakup came out of left field, they could've done without it while also confessing to each other but if that didn't happen, ML wouldn't have longed for her the way he did.
At the rate I'm going I might enter my first relationship the same age as the FL. I know I would act the same way, timid and anxious and withdrawn once boundaries are set and getting confused at every little action and with every emotion I'm feeling. I guess that is why I resonate so much with this drama.
I'm halfway through this show and genuinely surprised the romance tag is taking a backseat on this one. LMK was so funny in this drama. This is my first drama of the FL and her character was idk, I felt like she was written to be unnecessarily childish (??) because of the comedy tag? Her friend doesn't seem like a bff tho lol my patience is thin with her, thinking of dropping this on ep7
So the curse really ended when he died for a second there? Kinda anticlimactic. I was rooting for a big a** explosion…
but romance-wise, their chem was good, their skinship felt very natural and I just noticed how ridiculously handsome Rowoon looks with his hair swept back
So the curse really ended when he died for a second there? Kinda anticlimactic. I was rooting for a big a** explosion and some magic here and there. I ended this drama still wondering if the spells were really true lol
This was insanely fluffy, no complicated issues that's why I think many find this boring but personally I missed these kinds of dramas where everything just gets sweeter and sweeter by each ep. Mature leads with intense chemistry. Sometimes you just need a break from all those intense dramas and this was purely a rom-com to the core. I can't believe ML's voice is so deep like everything he says sounds so sexy
Rewatching this again because for some reason I forgot about the whole story. On ep 3 and I applaud ML being so patient with the FL because I am about to throw hands. It's like her temper doesn't go away and she's always about to blow her top off? Already on ep 3 and i have never once seen her calmed down. ANYWAYS, JO YEONG OMG??? WHAT OTHER DRAMAS DOES THIS MAN STAR IN
Oh Jin Sim is crazy funny, the amount of 2nd hand embarrassment situations were too much for me. Hahaha. Plotwise it's really simple and cute, definitely one of those feel good dramas. Also, this drama has one of my top 3 favorite scenes ever: the scene where Jung Rok started to cry at the bus and the ost just full-on stopped and all you can hear was his sobs.
Rewatched this drama yesterday and it still is a classic! Yoon Eun Hye definitely has the tomboy vibe down. Imo, dramas earlier than 2010 were much more open than the ones these days. I forgot Eun Chan getting pecked on the lips by her sister's boyfriend lol
Man! These divorced parents are something else. I've seen this situation a whole lot in Chinese (and Korean) dramas…
It happens very often than we think, I know a lot of people who have been raised by relatives, mostly grandparents because of separated parents and then leaving the kids as well.
This is the only show I want to forget just so I can watch it for the first time again and again. Judging from the cast list, I knew this show was going to be a hit! All A-listers and they picked THIS script? There must be something about it then.
And there definitely is! The characters and their backstories were wonderfully done without info-dumping it all to the viewers. They certainly did not tell, but showed. There is not one boring moment because every ep just goes to show the next character, their story, and how they're connected to the main plot.
GENIUS is what this show is. The author of the webtoon is a genius.
Moral of the show: just like in wars, those who give out the orders stay safe while those who carry out those orders die.
Mainly watched for Jasper Liu because it's been like more than 6 years since I've watched him in a drama. This was light as every other Shen Yue drama I've watched but I can't just seem to feel the chemistry between her and her MLs? (Idk maybe it's just me ) However, the kisses on this one were much more natural than any of her dramas (that I've seen)
What an amazing season, it was really worth the wait! Wouldn't mind it being a 16-episode show but this just goes to show they don't need more episodes to create a memorable show. The pacing was fast, fast, fast. There was no dull moment. This is the perfect wrap-up to the series.
I want a S3 just for the fact that I want to see more of these characters. I liked the S1 concept where there was a different case for every episode.
I loved this show even when I don’t usually enjoy the female chases male first trope! The female lead is just…
Totally agree with you!! I also think what makes this so enjoyable is because the FL actress is amazing at portraying a young bubbly student, this and her acting on Exclusive Fairytale are so natural but not over-the-top like we see on other high school dramas. She really reminds me of the FL from the Taiwanese show It Started With A Kiss.
