It is a BL drama and i know their is a BL ban in China. But i'm from America where there is no ban. So i don't know how there being a ban in China has anything to do with it not being released internationally. It airs on WeTv which airs series/dramas from all Asian countries i believe. And WeTv has aired other BL dramas before and released them internationally, such as We Best Love. And it was aired while there was a ban in China. And currently there is a BL airing that i am watching that is from China. Even though they have a ban. So maybe their restrictions have changed or either they made the drama but aren't releasing it in China.

So considering that they have aired other BL dramas internationally before and that there has recently been a BL made in China. I don't really think the ban has anything to do with why they didn't release the Thai BL drama i'm talking about internationally. But thanks for your reply.

I agree they know or at least should know that BL's have a huge audience especially after We Best Love (which i loved). So there probably is another issue. I have heard also about the financial problems and the cut back on productions so maybe that had something to do with it. Theey have their reasons i'm sure but we will probably never find out the actual truth/reason. As long as this one has subs i'm all good lol. And yes we have been waiting for this for a long time so hopefully soon.

Actually the production company that did My Ride said they wanted it to be released internationally but it was up to WeTv. WeTv said they made the decision to not release it internationally because they didn't think it was highly anticipated or would be that popular so they decided to only release it in Thailand. So unfortunately it looks like most of the blame for that is on WeTv, at least based on the statements made by both sides. But WeTv did say that if the series gets hugely popular then they may release it internationally, so maybe eventually. But yeah surely this one won't have any issues. Hoping it will release soon!!

One of the Thai series i am talking about is My Ride BL. And I'm pretty sure they have the rights to broadcast internationally because they made a statement and said they decided not to release it internationally not because they don't have the rights too. As far as other series i'm not sure about. But as you said this one is highly anticipated and has a star studded cast so having no subs would be a huge loss of money for them. So surely it will have subs. I just didn't want to get my hopes up too high and get let down. But i am very much looking forward to this series. Can't wait, wish we had a release date.

This drama hasn't even aired yet so can't do that lol!! But i know for a fact there are two other series that have aired recently from Thailand that they are not offering subtitles with, because they actually made a statement and said that they weren't releasing them internationally. So those two series that i had been wanting to watch i can't because no subtitles even though i pay for a monthly subscription. But hopefully you are right and since this series is highly anticipated they will offer it with subs. I won't continue to pay for my subscription if they keep releasing series without subs.

If this is WeTv then it probably won't be subbed unfortunately. They have not been subbing any of their drama's lately for some reason. There are series now airing on WeTv that i am missing because of no subs and this one may end up being another one. This is very upsetting i have really been looking forward to this one and may not be able to watch it. Unless there is a fan subber who would graciously sub this. Why did it have to be WeTv and not some other company that will provide subtitles.

Yes the same guy had a crush on Mark in the other version. And it also says that this version will tell the full length story of Mark and Wee. Meaning it will tell the same story from the other version plus more that wasn't told in that version. So by that i assume it will still have the part about Wee's girlfriend since it is a part of the original story. But i guess we will know for sure when it airs.

It will be the same story as Love Mechanics just more of the story will be told this time. They shortened and removed parts before to fit in 4 episodes. Now with 10 episodes they can tell the story more in depth than before so people can have a better understanding. And i guess you could say there is kinda a love triangle with a girl. In the beginning Wee has a girlfriend and cheats on her with Mark. Mark wasn't aware of the girlfriend i believe and when he finds out he distances himself from Wee. But it turns out that Wee's girlfriend had also been cheating on him for a long time so they break up. Her to be with another guy and him to be with Mark. But then Wee gets caught by Mark kissing the ex so Mark ends it and leaves and no one knows where he is. He eventually comes back with his ex boyfriend to make Wee jealous which works. Mark and Wee eventually get back together. But at the same time Wee's friend Nuea also likes Mark and tries to pursue him but Mark only sees him as a friend. I am looking forward to more details of the story the 4 episodes before felt too rushed to me.

There is a girl involved. In the beginning Wee has a girlfriend when he falls for Mark. He breaks up with the girlfriend for Mark but then gets caught by Mark kissing the ex girlfriend. Mark and Wee spend some time apart then eventually Mark forgives Wee and they get back together. But there is also another guy who likes Mark but nothing ever happens between them because Mark only sees him as a friend. At least that's how it was in the fist version and it will pretty much be the same story except this time they will tell more of the story.

Yes the loss of LineTv did cut off a way for us to access lots of shows. I watched lots of shows on Line Tv. I agree it does just take a couple to ruin it for all the good fans. Everyone needs to learn to be respectful and understand they are just shows not real life and not to take it too seriously, and stop ruining it for everyone else. I also hope they realize that we also have money that we are willing to spend to support and watch these shows as long as they make them available for us.

Thanks for your reply. I understand they are about making money. But they can make money from international fans as well from subscriptions. A lot of people international fans included myself included, pay for subscription or VIP to WeTv, Viki and GagaOOlala. We do so to be able to watch these series/dramas that we wouldn't otherwise be able to watch. But what is the point in us paying our hard earned money if we can't even watch the shows we want to watch? If you pay for VIP/subscription you should be able to watch every show that is a WeTv show. If i can't watch the series that i want to watch and have been looking forward too then i will not continue paying for a subscription. And that is money they will lose each month and imagine if numerous fans cancelled subscriptions. But i'm sure it doesn't really matter to them because as you said they make enough money from sponsors. And if it is true about the harassment by international fans then that is just awful and stuff like that should never happen. But not all international fans are like that i know i am not and i am sure there are others who know how to be respectful. It is a shame that some who have no manners can ruin things for others. Hopefully Viki or GagaOOlala will pick these series up. And i do hope that eventually they do change their minds and offer subtitles again. It's not fair to punish everyone for the mistakes of some.
