I think people are being too harsh. Just imagine them kissing passionately problem solved š because apart from…
Yeah, I almost stopped watching this drama before because of all the hate comments on this page⦠but honestly, I felt the drama was good enough for me, so I kept going and ended up finishing it. I kept telling people itās really not that bad and believe it or not, most of the hate actually started because of that first fake kiss. Thatās honestly the main reason. I donāt even think the acting or chemistry was the real problem, because some people, including me, did feel the chemistry between them
Nah, he was completely crazy in the novel too. Like a lost puppy, stuck in his own jealous world without any sympathy…
Wahh, theyāre really like that in the novel?! That actually sounds worse than how it was adapted in the drama. I do like this drama, but I agree there are moments where it feels like she doesnāt give him anything, while heās willing to do everything for her. The drama couldāve been so much better if the writers and producers managed to balance their characters more, so it wouldnāt feel so onesided.
ah I'm only commenting about how cute certains parts are but I can't help it. Despite the low rating and complains…
You should be glad there are fewer people coming here compared to before, at least now you can actually enjoy commenting like this! When I first came here, 99% of the page was filled with criticism and hate š I honestly suffered not having anyone who enjoyed it as much as I did
Glad Iām not the only one! I didnāt really enjoy commenting on this page before since it was full of people who didnāt like the drama as much as I did. Itās pretty hard to agree to disagree when most of the comments are just full-on criticisms š
already wrote this on my review but as much as i loved WIFTY (my top 1 cdrama), BPIL hit me on an entirely different…
While Iām not a fan of WIFTY, Iāve never left any negative comments on the page. Surprisingly, this drama turned out to be really good. I honestly didnāt mind the kiss scenes, I barely focused on them. What stood out more was the story, the chemistry, and especially the way they looked at each other? chefās kiss!
Each character had their own emotional baggage, and I really think the drama couldāve been even better if they had explored more of their backstories. Show us why sheās so emotionally closed off, and why he turned out the way he didāthen let them heal each other. That wouldāve added way more depth, instead of focusing too much on the so-called āpassionā in the first half.
Thankfully, Iāve started seeing more positive comments about this drama after days of non-stop criticism especially toward the FL. I just finished it, and honestly, Iād rate it a solid 8, maybe even 8.5. Not just because I like both leads (I do), but itās not like Iāve followed all their projects before this.
Now that Iāve seen the whole thing, I finally understand why the FL character acted the way she did. I always felt like something was missing from her, but I realized she started to change emotionally after resolving things with her mother. Thatās when she began showing more emotion, and it clicked.
1. The story itself was really good. The acting felt naturalālight enough to enjoy, yet it still managed to hit emotionally in key scenes. 2. I didnāt skip much (except the fake kiss scenes), which says a lot, because I usually skip a lot when watching dramas. 3. I loved the increase in physical affection in the last few episodes. The directors shouldāve done that sooner instead of forcing awkward fake kisses early on. 4. My favorite scene was their breakup before college, it was so beautifully done and emotionally raw. 5. The MLās character carried so much emotional depth. Anyu did an amazing job. I cried with him more than once. 6. Liu Haocun did a pretty good job too. Iām honestly glad I finished this drama because now I understand why her character felt so emotionless at first. She did show care and concern later on even if some might still find it minimal.
I hope Liu Haocun can show people she gets better in the romance genre because she really is a good actress, and hopefully Anyu gets more main roles and more high-budget dramas too.
Please consider watching this drama, itās not that bad. Except⦠yeah, they really shouldāve changed the title since they changed a lot of the passionate elements from the novel. But of course, they couldnāt because itās an adaptation. Still, they shouldāve never added the fake kisses, it really messed up the dramaās image right from the start.
People might think Iām some hardcore fan or whatever, but honestly, Iāve only watched one of her projects.…
I donāt even know for sure whether she auditioned or not, some comments said she did, and thatās why she was cast. But honestly, it feels like some people just want to hate her no matter what. I said what I said. š¤·āāļø
People might think Iām some hardcore fan or whatever, but honestly, Iāve only watched one of her projects.…
Did you see the comments on that page? Gosh, I honestly donāt understand how people can blame her just for getting cast after auditioning. She didnāt force her way in ā she was chosen because the production team and directors believed she fit the role. Thatās on them, not her.
Itās the directorās job to guide the actors and bring the scenes to life, especially since they chose to adapt a novel. They shouldāve already had a clear vision of how they wanted things to look, especially for emotionally intimate scenes. And the writerās job is to deliver a strong script and letās be honest, some parts of it were just⦠miserable.
If people want to say she wasnāt perfect for the role because she lacks that āintimacyā or romantic chemistry, fine, I get it. But again, thatās why direction exists. Sheās still new in this area, and clearly inexperienced with romance scenes. So why didnāt the directors help her improve or guide her through it? If they knew there were going to be restrictions (like no kissing), then it was their responsibility to adjust and plan around that from the start.
She auditioned, she got the part, thatās not her fault. So why is the blame being placed solely on her when the bigger responsibility clearly lies with the production team? And if people want to say āitās her job,ā then please look at her past projects. Most of them had little to no focus on romance, so obviously, sheās new to this genre. Thatās exactly why the directors shouldāve guided her better. Also, some are saying she wasnāt well-known before this drama, are you sure about that? Her performance in Derailment definitely caught peopleās attention, and that wasnāt even a romance-heavy story. She proved herself in that role, and just because this one didnāt fully land for some people doesnāt mean she deserves all this hate.
I really hate how they wrote the ML to constantly chase after her while sheās just there, barely doing anything in return. Like, where are your efforts, girl? Itās frustrating to watch. Honestly, who are the writers and directors here?
I donāt blame the actors, I actually liked both of them since their first breakup scene. But now? Itās starting to get a bit annoying. The way the characters are written just doesnāt feel fair or balanced.
She low-key finds it uncomfortable to be touched by male co-stars or any males and it's very evident in the behind-the-scenes…
People might think Iām some hardcore fan or whatever, but honestly, Iāve only watched one of her projects. I donāt even want to watch the others because just seeing her cry kind of breaks my heart.
The hate sheās getting feels so forced. If weāre talking chemistry, yeah, she might not have that fiery, burning chemistry with Anyu, but itās not like itās completely missing either. I truly believe the hate started piling up once people realized she wouldnāt kiss, and from there, they just started blaming her for everything. But itās really the directors who should be held accountable. They knew her boundaries, yet didnāt work around them properly.
And I donāt get how sheās getting this much hate when even Yang Chaoyue who I love and have followed since her debut didnāt get dragged this hard despite all the criticisms of her acting in the past. Itās unfair, and honestly exhausting to see someone get hated this much just because she didnāt want to do a kiss scene.
finally giving this a try now! liu haocun blew my mind away with her acting in ''derailment'' i don't think she…
Yooo⦠yeah, honestly, blame the directors. They hold way more power than Liu Haocun. The hate sheās getting is way over the top, and letās be real, most of it started just because she didnāt kiss, and people said it ruined the story. Then suddenly it turned into āthey have no chemistry.ā
But come on, everyone experiences chemistry differently, that part is subjective. Whatās not subjective is the fact that the production team knew her boundaries and still went ahead without adapting anything. So yeah, I agree the directors deserve a big part of the blame for how things turned out.
To be honest, itās pretty unfair that people are putting all the blame on her just because she chose not to do a kiss scene. Letās be real, most of the hate started because of that. People started calling her unprofessional, and then shifted the narrative to āno chemistry.ā But I did feel some chemistry, maybe not a lot, but it was there.
Honestly, it seems like she just doesnāt know how to act in romantic roles yet. Maybe sheās inexperienced, maybe sheās never had a relationship, we donāt know. Iāve seen her BTS clips from previous projects, and sheās clearly uncomfortable with physical contact. It shows, and thatās fine , not every actor is naturally suited to every genre.
But hereās the real issue: this isnāt just on her. Itās the production team that holds the most responsibility. They knew her boundaries. They knew she doesnāt do kiss scenes, itās not a secret. Yet they cast her anyway and failed to adapt the story or direction accordingly.
Yes, she needs to improve if she wants to keep doing romance dramasā¦.. thatās fair criticism. But itās wrong to act like sheās the only problem. The writing, the direction, the editing , all of that couldāve been handled better. The fake kiss, the awkward lines, the poorly executed scenes ā¦thatās on the team behind the camera.
I do hope she learns from this, picks better-suited scripts, and grows in her craft if she decides to stay in this genre. But blaming her alone? Thatās just unfair.
I feel like thereās so much inconsistency in her character. One time sheās mad at him, and the next thing…
Yeah, like what do you mean apologizing just by drinking? Canāt she at least do something? Communicate properly, show some effort, maybe even do a few cute things so we can be healed from that fake kiss disaster in the pastā¦
We need more passionate, swoony, adorable scenes, we at least deserve that⦠I honestly want to know what the directors were thinking⦠Even though I said I like this drama, sometimes it just makes my blood boil! Itās frustrating because thereās so much potential, but then they go and make these stupid choices.
I have never seen this many people going against the drama lol! but this series totally deserves the backlash…
OMG! That was exactly my reaction when I saw that scene....like, why on earth did they use a green screen?! Just do it like any K-drama would, at least use a truck or some clever camera tricks to support the scene!
Honestly, I feel like the directors dropped the ball here. If they were going to avoid an actual kiss, they couldāve just gone for a make-out scene where they kiss anywhere other than the lips, and then move the camera away! At least that way we wouldnāt be cringing so hard right now.
They knew what kind of actress they cast, someone who doesnāt do kiss scenes, so why not plan around that properly?
The acting itself wasnāt even that bad, aside from that kiss scene. Poor Anyuuu, my boy⦠he really tried, huhuhu
Hmm, Iāve already watched the latest episode... and to be honest, the FLās character just feels like itās lacking in everything. I didnāt read the novel, so Iām not sure how her character is supposed to be, but in this series, she really struggles to communicate.
Somehow, I feel like Liu Haocun and this character actually fit well....both seem romantic but donāt really know how to express it. Except... Liu Haocun doesnāt do kiss scenes
Wang Anyu though!! His eyes during that basketball court confrontation, so good. I just hate seeing how much heās done for her while she remains so clueless. His character puts in so much effort for her⦠I just wish sheād do something for him in return.
And please, I think he forgave her way too easily. Hopefully, weāll get to see her step up and actually show or do something meaningful for him because the chemistry is definitely there
So many negative comments.. thank God we do not have all the same tastes.. how boring would that be.This makes…
Itās okay.....I actually like this drama, except for the kissing parts, which I have to fast-forward every time. It gives me secondhand embarrassment!
Iām not trying to defend the FL either. Iāve seen the comments, and I agree she still needs to improve in this genre. But personally, I donāt care too much about the other stuff, in my opinion, they did okay.
I tend to watch dramas without focusing too deeply. I just let it play, unless I get too emotionally invested and something starts to really annoy me. Thatās usually when I stop watching.
I don't know about others but for me, after The best thing there was no modern romance and moreover it was An…
Fair enough, sometimes we just need something to watch. I usually prefer wuxia or xianxia dramas over modern ones too, but since Iām a fan of these two actors, I decided to give this one a go. :)
I bet youāre a Bai Lu fan, huh? That dramaās definitely going to be a hit!
The brothers not really involved anymore much after the trip
Yeah, itās pretty normal for adaptations to not follow the novel exactly, but this one kind of changed some of the main points. The biggest no for me was when they had to say, āYou really know how to kiss,ā right after doing a fake one⦠Iām trying to ignore that because the story and the chemistry are actually good.
The brothers not really involved anymore much after the trip
If youāre okay with the fake kiss and the cringey dialogue after, then thatās totally fine. š The FL might not show a lot of expression, but I think she did great ā¦..honestly, Iām like that in real life too, so I can totally relate to her character.
To be honest, I donāt think itās that bad⦠but of course, everyone has different opinions. So, enjoy watching!
OMG! I found my people, this drama is actually good, right? I didnāt read the novel, but still! Iāve seen…
Yeah, sheās not bad. I also think maybe she shouldnāt take on romance roles for now. It feels like sheās trying to explore a more diverse range of characters ā something lighter compared to her usual heavy dramas or films. And who knows? Maybe one day sheāll be open to doing kiss scenes and all. By then, she might have grown even more as an actress than she already has.
Honestly, itās not like kiss scenes are such a big deal... great actors can still deliver strong chemistry without them. Believe me, Iāve watched dramas and movies where there was no kiss at all, but you could still feel everything. Thatās just how good they were.
I honestly suffered not having anyone who enjoyed it as much as I did
