I watched it on YouTube, just search a Mortal's journey, thats what the donghua's called. There are English subs thank god. And there's a videoswhere they put like 100 episodes into 1 big video makes it easier to watch.

Yeh definitely unusual, in the novel and donghua honestly FL is more a support role herself, barely in most of it. So I can understand if she was promised more scenes and a bigger role just for them to cut it, she would probably be quite angry. But would be nice for some official clarity definitely.

Yeh thats definitely annoying from her but I'm kind of just excusing that due to her being young and immature. But definitely annoying and hope it doesn't keep going for too long. They do start working together better in ep 6 and from previews of today's episode, seems like they work together even better, so hopefully no more of that from her but we'll see.

Not really no. When he returns, obviously upset about his mentors death, and wants to find the truth. But he's mostly his old self, just a bit more cautious and serious. But not really agonizing or have a lot of angst. After a short emotional reunion with FL where he tells her he's innocent and to pls trust him etc its kind of just straight back into investigative mode if that makes sense.

Damn with the video it goes hard, really creepy but goes with the video so well. Haven't seen that before, thanks for the vid.

Definitely, great song and another good one here.

One is the friend who gave the poison/medicine, he owes FL his life so serves her, he's also the young master of a poison sect that split up and he's on the run. FL doesn't know this but ML figured it out but they keep it a secret. The other is a friend of ML, a spy he planted in the constables office he use to work for, he's loyal to ML. Team of those 4 as of now.

No problem and so true about the mystic nine main ost, got that vibe.

Because he was a fugitive and technically still is, people still believe he's the one committing the murders. Also there's a belief there may be more than one villain, like a group working together. So he's not in the clear. The FL pretty much believes him, but to the rest of the world he's still in hiding (he never turned himself in officially, just to the FL and they have kept it a secret) so they all think he's the one committing the murders still.

Nope not yet, just working together, but he's still a fugitive.

It's by Chinese rapper Zao An, I commented with a bit more info above if you want to try find the song.

By Chinese rapper Zao An, I posted more info in a comment above if you want to try find it in Spotify or something.

Yeh almost immediately because her friend who mistakenly gave her the wrong medicine realized and told her, plus he passed out and needed medical attention. So now that friend working on a cure

For people asking, the song at the end of ep 2 is by Chinese rapper Zao An, same rapper who did the banger song Kylin for I am Nobody cdrama. The song in this drama released in 2025, the names in Chinese and translates roughly to night fury or night fight evil something like that. Should be able to find the song if you search for Zao An 2025 release. I found it on Spotify. The Chinese name is 夜煞·斗!(《定风波》影视剧插曲). If you like the vibe of this song check out his others, they are bangers.

Thats something unique/different about this story, he doesn't have a big driving goal. No like revenge or saving someone or being wronged when young. He just wants to live as long as possible and cultivate to as high a tier as possible. He has small goals along the way, but never one big goal like other MC's you're talking about.

Definitely remind me of the glory, but it's such a silly way to get poisoned. Who accidentally mistakes and gives a deadly poison instead of a paralysis poison.

Not yet, but him and Fl and a couple others are working together. So at least there's no drawn out thing where the FL is totally against him for ages. She's cautious and suspicious of him, but willing to work with him to find the truth.

No it was really, really dumb. FL goes to her friend to get a drug to paralyze him so he can't escape after his return, instead her friend accidentally gives her a deadly poison with no antidote by mistake, and Ml takes it because ML trusts the FL. Now he's poisoned with no antidote and apparently will die from it, we just don't know when. FL's friend is working on the antidote so he'll probs be saved. But overall, I'm liking the drama, find it interesting, but the poison story so unnecessary and lazy writing I think.

Hahaha true true that would make sense, who knows if it happens we'll come back to these comments 😂

Hahaha true seems to be a lot of hating on her idk why
