Yeh in a spoiler clip, we see ML loved a woman previously (I think Fang Lie's sister), but she dies and he's distraught, still keeps a keepsake of hers. So he has trauma as well, but we don't see that yet, (spoiler clip not shown in the drama yet). All we see is him scheming and manipulating FL without knowing his backstory, but we know all about her painful backstory. So yeh I agree, would be nice to see his POV, I think it should come soon, but I think would have been really cool if we swapped between them and saw their different POV's and thoughts at the same time.

Yeh but there was a reuter going around of them filming a kissing scene so that jokes started from that, so I think it's only minor, minor romance but still there. But that was just a Reuter, whether it's in the final cut or not, we'll see.

I commented this in reply to someone else but I feel like I want to mention it again, regarding the ML, and this is just my opinion:

We watch the show in FL's perspective. So even though she lies and manipulates, we have seen her backstory, seen her painful childhood and understand her motives are pure. So even though she lies and manipulates, we support her, because we understand her and understand the reasons for why she lies. Where as for ML, it's a mystery. Spoiler clips and hints tell us he has a tragic backstory regarding Fang Lie's sister that drowned. He also has a painful past, but because we haven't seen his backstory or understand his past and his reasons for his lies and secrets, we judge him more harshly than the FL.

Now imagine this is flipped, we started the show on the ML's POV. We see his tragic backstory, understand his pain and why he does what he does. Then we see the FL we know nothing about, all we know is she is a liar and manipulator. We would hate her as well.

I'm not saying what the ML has done is not despicable. It definitely is, and he needs to redeem himself. But before we judge him, lets give the show time to allow us to understand him, lets see the pains he's gone through and understand why he is, the way he is now. I hope the show gives the ML the same amount of depth and good story writing that they gave FL (I believe they will).

They both need to heal from the past, independently. And from the looks FL is further along that road. But slowly, as he heals, I believe ML will redeem himself. I believe ML was not born as a liar and manipulator, same as FL. They were both shaped by traumatic past events, so let's see what ML's trauma was before we judge him too harshly.

Anyway, just my opinion, looking forward to seeing how everything plays out.

Honestly same, I won't watch a drama because of heat, but I just find heat and data stuff interesting just a weird hobby and I like to share in case people are interested 😂 but I agree, this one deserves it, minimal promotion and dropped is crazy

It won't, like her sister's fine and everything, and we see from BTS she and Yu Yi Ming become the second couple, so it won't follow the novel ending. So much other stuff is different as well.

Yeh I agree, they've done a really good job of letting us understand her motives and backstory. Hope they do the same with ML. They've given us hints with Fang Lie's sister and his son, so I hope we find out more and it's well crafted like you said.

I feel like we shouldn't judge him too early. Don't get me wrong, what he did is despicable and he needs redemption. But we've seen the show from the FL's POV. We sympathize with her and support her regardless of her lies because we know what she went through, her painful past and her motives are pure.

But for ML its all a mystery. I think he has a tragic backstory, specifically whenever Fang lie mentions her sisters drowning he gets angry, which is rare for him. So I feel like we need his backstory to understand him. Like imagine we knew nothing about FL, all we knew is she was a liar and manipulator, no idea about her past and her reasons, we would dislike her as well. It's her backstory and her POV that allows us to sympathize and support her.

Not trying to defend him, his actions are wrong regardless, but I hope the writers do a good job of explaining his motives and past, like they did with FL.

Yeh Wang Xing Yue as the 2ml, Bai lu FL, in Story of Kunning palace, very good cdrama, and they are ML and FL in an upcoming cdrama unveil jade wind that looks good but probably release next year.

For me theres no real official place, I watch them on x posted by different accounts, just search love's ambition in x and you will see a bunch. Some are posted by official accounts but most just posted by people that closely follow the drama and Chinese social media.

Weirdly, same as me haha, I watched forever and ever first and normally don't like tragic endings, but I couldn't help myself from watching. Definitely worth it, Zhou Sheng Cheng was unforgettable I agree. It's funny the 2ml played by Wang Xing Yue was also Bai Lu's 2ml in story of kunning palace and now he's her ML in the upcoming unveil jade wind. I saw people joking after missing out on her twice, he finally gets his happy ending with her 😂

It's because in ep 15 preview, she consults a bunch of divorce lawyers. And in ep 16 we see she is now working as a newbie streamer, so seems like she lost her job and is starting over. So we can assume they divorced somewhere in between, as he would never let her be a streamer selling products.
