Even though Guan Zi Jing is playing a villain, the dude is still funny man, like in ep 12. He's just so comedic. I love it though, nice little breather. I hope he doesn't turn into a psycho ex when she moves on. Wan Peng facial expressions are also so good, she conveys so much annoyance in him with just a couple looks.

No it's fair enough, I think he should draw a clean line, and I think he will. I think after the divorce, when he realizes his love for FL, it will help him move on from Fang Lie's sister, and once that happens, then Fang Lie will have no control over him anymore and he will be able to totally disregard her.

Thats ok, you're entitled to your opinion, it's fair enough. I just think it's not easy let go of those connections after his loss. He obviously still feels guilt because of her sister, so he feels a burden to take her of her because of her sister.

So true! I love their relationship now, the little meals they have together now and chatting openly. And her sister always saying how she will support and protect her, gotta love it.

This is going so be super hypocritical after my comment before on ML and understanding peoples pain and backstory but after ep 12 screw it 😂, Fang Lei needs psychiatric help, she needs to be put in a straight jacket and locked up away from ML, only then will I take the time to try and understand her. But it shows, she was out of order before her sister's death, she might be inexcusable. Idk where her obsession comes from. Dramas are all about emotions anyway and these are mine for her.

Side note, I noticed in ep 12 in Fang Lie's apartment, everything seems very adult and grown up decorations, expect her living room with the colored couches, it seems almost child like. Possibly showing how she stuck in the past, unable to move on, that one section just struck me as super contrasting o the rest of the apartment.

100%, the director said they were going for a realistic urban couple and life, and lets be honest, if you a CEO raised by strict and competitive parents or went though what FL went though, you're not going to be perfect. You will be flawed, and thats what makes this drama good.

Hahaha no problem, yeh mostly FL, but good point on the panning back to ML now and then. Its smart camera work showing us there's more beneath the surface for him, good catch.

Side note, end of ep 11, introducing that brother and sister duo with so much fanfare and aura, makes me nervous, I can't tell if they're friends or foes, I'm thinking foe, but they were pretty interesting in ep 12, hope they turn out to be friends.
