First of all, He couldn't even kill TaiSui with the glaze fire because Taisui and him form one and only persona. 2.As @LotusFlower mention, XY was able to be kill him as he took DFQS's immortal body. 3.DFQS lost his cultivation and his immortal body fade away (due to the fatal attack of XY=, only his primordial spirit remain into that bone orchid). Generally, when immortal perish, their immortal body vanish. 4.I don't understand exactly your perception on how the glaze fire works, but I take the glaze fire as a power used and mastered by its owner, DFQS couldn't even use it as two spirits (him and taisui) has control over his body.
The kiss is a powerful weapon to actually heal him ( the first kiss was when she helped him regain consciousness and recollect fully his primordial spirit as Si Ming explain) that last kiss is the same, she help him regain consciousness and made his primordial spirit full again (that's why his hair became black ^^). But again that blow (when XY kill them both) made his primordial body vanish, only his spirit remain in the bone orchid.

He lost part of his cultivation. Taisui drained his primordial spirit/power that's why his hair became white Same for the first ep, he was sealed and his primordial spirit was somehow weak.
