actually you go after that person first where you are less scared of a fallout.. the more precious one will be…
When you put it like that, I understand, but in this case, the drama would've been spared if Lomfon had just kissed Tien instead. He's had enough hand holdings (most of which iniciated by him, btw) and possibilities to do it.
Don't mind me, I'm just pissed off that there will be no Tien/Lomfon as a couple until the very last episode.
Patts was way more relatable in this episode than Tai. Tai went gradually from my favourite character from the four at the beginning to my least favourite. I don't understand his issues and the reason for them, I'm sorry. He's an adult and has to get over his parents' divorce, it's time. Also, going out with someone you have been warned that he likes you and lying to your boyfriend about it is generally not a good idea.
Tien, baby, without knowing, you encouraged your crush to go after your brother. Also, the hands holding again! My feeling was that Lomfon was hoping to get another answer. That was also the only scene I genuinely enjoyed from the beginning to the end. I love Tien and Lomfon together, even though I probably should't, the chemistry is on point and I feel that they have had a proper development, despite the Tai mess. I'm now sure Lomfon knows he likes Tien, too, but of course, poor Tien cannot win against his not so perfect brother without the hearing loss, no matter how much they have bonded over time.
Whether Patts and Tai are a good couple or not is debatable, but Lomfon did indeed behave as a jerk. You don't figure out your confused feelings by kissing someone else's boyfriend and hurting many people in the process. Also, generally, if your can't decide between two people, then you go after the one who is not involved first, even if he says you should pick the soulmate. It's common sense, Lomfon!
I wish more couples would do the lift butt onto kitchen counter after confession. We all know most dramas couples…
So true! To be fair, the highschool couple in The Luminous Solution did that despite both being virgins, and I have high hopes the side couple in La Pluie would do it too, because their SL is even more slowburn than Pat and Jeng's.
Seriously, the confession is out of the way, they are old enough, why wait? Especially if they've waited very long to come to this point in the first place. I think Jeng's honest, unadulterated, unapologetic passion for his boyfriend was my favourite part of this episode. I don't know how shallow this makes me, but there you go. :)
May I ask about what you mean with the direction the Lomfon story is going? Him not knowing what he wants or the…
There is a connection to Tien in any case, because in the preview for the next episode, Lomfon and Tien are shouting at each other in the rain and Lomfon can hear Tien, which he shoudn't be able to do if he has the "normal" hearing loss.
My feeling is that if Tien and Lomfon are soulmates and admit it, Lomfon's hearing loss will either disappear as suddently as it came, because Tien clearly doesn't have it, or he will start hearing Tien instead.
Jeng really said: "I've waited for this for 10 episodes and I'm not waiting any longer. Let's get it on directly after confessing on the kitchen counter."
I like the way Jeng thinks. :) Just for the record, there are too few couples that have sex directly after confessing and kissing for the first time. Drunk (or not) one-night-stands don't count.
The relationship between boss and subordinate is problematic, no matter how much they love each other. This problem has to be solved, but I wish they could've started with it in the next episode and we'd had one full episode of happiness.
May I ask about what you mean with the direction the Lomfon story is going? Him not knowing what he wants or the…
Yeah, Tai and Patts just got officially together so them breaking up so soon would turn many people off, I can understand. If Lomfon manages to make them break up, I can imagine more people will start to dislike him.
I love Step by Step! I can get some of the criticism (they completely abandoned the development of the second couple, for example), but mostly, I don't agree with it, especially the bashing of the Pat character. Objectively seen, it's one of the best and most realistic BLs airing this year. I can't wait for tomorrow!
I wasn't under the impression that Tai and Patts resisted their soulmate status that much once they saw each other, but maybe that's just me. Patts never wanted to resist it before accidentally seeing Tai playing with the cat. ;) True, Tai is more cautious, but he wanted to date Patts as soon as he saw him despite being wary about soulmates, got his brother to get up in the night to tell him about it, used his cat to get close to Patts and the first kiss occurred in episode 4. So far, the problems for Tai and Patts have come more from outside (Nara, Lomfon) than from them, despite Tai having some insecurities because of his parents' divorce. But fear not, one of the theories I've seen (and agree with) is that Lomfon and Tien are soulmates, too. If that's true, then they are the ones resisting the inevitable, Lomfon very obviously so much that he's messed up the system (the sudden weird hearing loss) and Tien more passively now but very actively before.
May I ask about what you mean with the direction the Lomfon story is going? Him not knowing what he wants or the…
I'm watching several BL series at the moment and enjoying them, but this is the only one I'm invested in, despite the last two eisodes, which I agree were not as good as episodes 1 -7, for various reasons. I think the main reason I like this so much is the unique plot, the deconstruction of soulmates and what it means and because I really like both couples, especially Tien and Lomfon.
My theory is that there must be a reason why Lomfon is clinging to the idea of liking Tai and rejecting the idea of liking Tien so stubbornly, because if we just look at what's been shown until now, it doesn't make any sense. Lomfon has spoken to Tai about two or three times and has no reason to think Tai would ever accept him. In contrast, he's been interacting, holding hands and bonding with Tien in about every episode, even back when they didn't like each other. Yet he's still so deep in denial and won't accept what is obvious and will even try to get between Tai and Patts, which, of course, won't end up well. He must know Tai would reject him and I don't understand why he would even want to try. He doesn't believe in soulmates, so using the messed up hearing loss (because he and Tien obviously can still hear each other in the rain, the preview was clear) is just an excuse to cling to Tai some more without any substance or real feeling behind it.
I'm afraid that it's very probable Lomfon will remain confused until the end, but I hope at least that whatever happens next week will end the Lomfon/Tai nonsense once and for all.
To be fair, Tai mentioned at some time that there was a person who helped him get though his parents' divorce and they had to show it has been Patts all along, but honestly, that part wasn't necessary at all. It was established early on that Tai and Patts like each other despite being soulmates and not because of it, so I agree they could've skipped that. The Nara parts could've been removed completely and there would be no difference in the plot. Tai and Patts would've become boyfriends without having to run to the mountains.
Although I'm against hitting people, considering what Lomfon will do, I can sort of understand Patts losing his cool. Lomfon deserves at least a good shaking, because it's time for him to face and accept some facts. I want my Tien/Lomfon kiss and am really afraid we ain't getting it before the very last episode. :(
Something to look forward to: I'm pretty sure there will be some Tai/Patts NC scenes coming, I've seen the trailer several times and there is some stuff they haven't shown yet. ;)
To sum it up: let's hope the last 3 episodes will be as good as the first 7!
This had started out so well but the last two episodes were so disappointing... Did anything even happen in that…
May I ask about what you mean with the direction the Lomfon story is going? Him not knowing what he wants or the sudden hearing loss? The thing with the hearing loss was in the trailer, although slightly misleading, and him not knowing what he wants is frustrating, but for some reason, which I hope will be revealed asap, he's determined to be in denial about his feelings for Tien. I personally can't wait for the next episode, although I agree the last two were sort of slow, mostly because the Nara SL had no purpose at all.
To be fair there is a difference between like and love. Tien probably recognises he likes Lomfon deep down, but…
Thank you! What you said makes sense, they asked about love, and while Tien has to know he likes Lomfon (well, Tai told him when he didn't realise it himself), love is on another level and he probably makes a difference between the two. Tien also seems like someone who is generally more cautious about falling in love than most of the characters in the series, so this has to be taken into account, too.
Well, nothing earth-moving, but still better than the previous episode. For me, who is more interested in Lomfon and Tien, it seems that the next episode will be the one I want judging from the preview. Honestly, if it takes 12 episodes for Lomfon to figure himself out and we don't get to see some happy scenes with him and Tien, I'll throw a fit my one-year-old niece would be proud of. Come on, they keep on holding hands since the very beginning of the series when they didn't even like each other. The love triangle so many expected didn't materialise at all, so I want the Lomfon/Tai nonsense finished asap.
So the person who helped Tai through the divorce of his parents has been Patts all along. I'm glad we're back to the lovey-dovey scenes between Tai and Patts, at least that way I can regain some interest in them. And great, Tai left Duer with his big brother and we finally got to meet him!
The scenes with Nara crying were too long the previous episode and too long now. She's so pretty, though, I can't stop staring.
Why did Tien say he's never had his first love? I thought he was aware that he has feelings for Lomfon. Did I miss anything or did I misunderstand something?
P.S Pat's response is reasonable. A lot of you haven't simultaneously dealt with an ex AND an extraordinarily…
I agree. Pat's reaction was absolutely reasonable, given his personality and the circumstances. He did not know Jeng was into guys and had never even considered Jeng being into him. Needing time to come around is the only thing he could do.
I was prepared for this, because I couldn't resist some spoilers, but it still hurt like hell. I can understand Pat to some extent, he's the most clueless person in the world and he needs a healthy shot of self-esteem, but I still have to say I felt more for Jeng in this episode.
Also, I don't get what's going on between Jaab and Jen at all. Since that kiss in episode 5 there has been a zero development.
My theory about Lomfon is this….he has tapped into the genetic “network” of the Sengtai/ Saengthian family.…
Yes, I think that in the end, it will come to this, namely, that Tien and Lomfon are the other soulmate pair, but them coming together and finding each other will be in a more convoluted way in contrast to the "classical" soulmates Tai and Patts and this is why Lomfon's sudden hearing loss that doesn't make any sense occurred like that. I'm very curious about their past and why exactly they used to dislike each other so much, or rather, what was Tien's problem with Lomfon, because at the beginning of the series, Tien was by far the more hostile one. They are in the same class at university and they are in their second year, which means they've known each other for longer than an year. I hope we'll get some flashbacks to see how they met each other and what caused the animosity in the first place. They could show us that instead of constant flashbacks of things that just happened.
Why did Tien and Lomfon wear the same clothes in the last scene of the episode after getting drenched to the bone earlier and Lomfon falling down in the mud?
Also, under these circumstances, no sex for Patts and Tai when's raining, because someone will be listening... This is hilarious, actually. I think I'll like the next episode more than this one. :)
This episode was a hot mess. The worst episode so far. The only good thing about it was the Tien and Lomfon confrontation.
The thing with Nara was absolutely unnecessary. At least it was cleared up it was her Patts was kissing that day. The kiss between them in this episode felt so long, I thought it would never end. Too dramatic. Tai not asking for an explanation for it doesn't feel realistic at all to me.
Also, Lomfon can hear both of them talking in the rain, not only Tai, so the spoilers in the trailer were not exactly accurate. If this means he's a soulmate of someone, it should be both. *shakes head* I hope this Lomfon mess will be done with in the next episode, because right now, I care only about Tien, his story and his happiness.
Well, at least there's one thing for sure - the series is a lot of things, but boring is not one of them.
Don't mind me, I'm just pissed off that there will be no Tien/Lomfon as a couple until the very last episode.
