My favourite moment in the first MSP (the actual series) episode was the "You might as well submit a love request"-scene. I just rewatched the original and then the swapped version immediately after. I have to say that I like both equally and can't pick. The actors certainly have had fun doing that one and I love how versatile they are.
Daddy Jeng was all emo because of Put lol. He needs to step up his game! Now he better show Pat he's interested.…
I agree with everything you said. A very good comment! The development of the boss/employee (romantic) relationship and the pacing are done right, especially when we consider Jeng and Pat's personalities.
I wanted to rewatch is before commenting and it was actually better the second time around. Despite this episode not being as good as the first two, this is still one of the two BL series I'm watching at the moment I'm invested into, the other one being Step by Step. I like all characters and can't wait for the messy plot to develop. ;)
Can they finally put me out of my misery and reveal whether Duer is a male or a female cat? Why does everyone still call him oder her "it"? As a proud cat owner for over 13 years, I'd never think of calling my cat "it", it's "her".
I appreciate that they wanted to show us Phat's POV and confirmed what we knew anyway (that Tai is the person Phat likes without knowing he's his soulmate), but the flashback was 18 minutes and definitely too long. I think half of it could've been cut and we still would've had enough of Phat's POV to get what's going on.
Phat is so obvious and Tai trying to resist makes everything even funnier, I thoroughly enjoyed their scenes together in this episode.
Unlike many, I like Tien's character. He seems to be the only one trying to keep whatever has remained of their family together and is supportive and understanding of his brother, something I've yet to see the other way around. That being said, if Lomfon and Tien are supposed to end up together, at this point, I don't see it, even without Lomfon being into Tai, commenting how much they have in common and reading his articles. Tien and Lomfon really, really dislike each other and this is all I got from them so far. There was some softening in the previous episode, but it was completely erased in this one and if these two are going to be a couple, I wish the writers would hurry up and make them stop being that unpleasant to each other soon (read: in the next episode), otherwise they can never pull them off. There's nothing more unbelievable than a rushed enemies-to-lovers plot.
I personally can't get enough of the long episodes :) As far as I'm concerned, they can keep them as long, I only wish the same for La Pluie.
While I agree episodes 2 and 3 were better because there was less work stuff, fact is that at this point, Jeng and Pat are only coworkers, not friends, so it's normal their conversations and contacts will be at work and about work first. Starting a relationship with your boss is not something either party would do lightly, so the slow approach, and both of them being cautious (although for different reasons) is realistic and makes sense.I just wish Pat will stop being afraid already and show a little more self-confidence so the real romantic stuff would start soon, because I have the feeling this is what Jeng is waiting for in order to try to make a move.
I just saw the rating of the show and had to do a double take, right now it's hard to believe ;)
I also can't wait to find out what happened between Pat and the ex-boyfriend. Coming back out of the blue and asking for another chance two years after breaking up is rather unusual.
I read all the comments below and saw many people getting confused by a couple things about this series. Trust…
All of this. Also, to add to point Nr. 4, Phat was asking way too many and personal questions when they met in the cafe the first time. "Are you a writer?", "Who do you write for, maybe I've read it?", "What's your name, just in case I see something of yours?", etc. He was obviously trying to get as much information as possible, and you don't usually do that if you're forced to share a table with a total stranger because there's no other option. ;)
YES, it's seems also that Tai and Lamfon have sex together, it's in one of trailer, so it's even hard to imagine…
I saw that too, but coudn't place whether it was Phat or Lomfon, they didn't show the face of the person. Is it in one of the teasers where you can see it's Lomfon? In this case, there should be a very good reason for Tien/Lomfon, if it happens at all.
I wasn't sure after the first episode, but like with Step by Step, I'm convinced now. These two are my most anticipated currently airing BL series.
I like the longer episodes and the main character is very relatable and likable. The cat is, of course, the real star here. ❤
I'm also very excited about the plot, because it seems that this won't be the straightforward "main couple - separate side couple" BL, but messier and more dramatic. I'm here for it, there's a good reason why Love Mechanics is one of my favourite BL series ever. While I'm convinced the mains will end up together, I'm not so sure about Tien and Lomfon. There's a Tai/Lomfon kiss in the trailer and the brothers are very close. I find it hard to imagine Tien going for the guy who is pursueing his brother, it's weird.
Anyway, I'm loving this. The fact that the actor who plays Tai is very good IMO helps, too. He should be credited first, because so far he's the main and is doing his job very well.
I try not to leave negative comments here, but I'll make an exception, just because until now, I liked the series.
I really, really hate amnesia plot lines. I can't name a series where I've liked it. And why do they have to turn the person with amnesia into a huge jerk every time? I miss the soft and sweet Bamee, bring him back!
I enjoyed the series until episode 8. I realise it was not perfect, but I still enjoyed it with all its ridiculousness and Kiew and Bamee were cute. But episode 9 was, for the most part, unwatchable, I barely could get though it, had to take several breaks in order to finish it.
Plz end this amnesia idiocy in the next episode. If you continue this, the series will be ruined for good for many people.
Spending time with your crush does not make you forget about them, but the contrary. What was with that advice Jeng gave to Jaab, it didn't make any sense to me.
The subs of the first part on YouTube were weirdly cut at times, but other than that, no complains from me. It was nice to take a break from the office colleagues for a bit, I'm into the side couple, I like all characters and I'm continuing to love the slow burn romance of the mains. Also, God bless them for the longer episodes.
There's one thing I'm confused about - how does Jeng's business partner from the restaurant know Pat? There's something I've missed, because I don't remember ever seeing the birthday boy before.
Finally finished this with the newly added English subtitles, after having already seen it with Spanish subtitles. An advice from me: if you speak Spanish, watch it with the Spanish subtitles, they are way better.
I loved this because of the great cast and the main couple, Songkhram and Ai. I have to compliment whoever cast them that they did a great job. The writing for them was also everything I could've wanted. Neither of them tried to change the other, force the other into something they didn't want to do, there were no scenes of unnecessary jealousy, just mutual trust, respect, love and support. And they were so cute! There was a line in my all favourite episode 8, when Ai said that he doesn't want Songkhram to change for him, because he loves him the way he is from the beginning, which sums up the relationship very nicely.
Now for what I didn't like - the jumps to the past and back were confusing at times, and they were mostly used to explain the relationship of the second couple, which I didn't like much, because they were sort of toxic and in a big contrast to the so-not-toxic Ai and Songkhram. All characters except Ohm were likable, but I had a very soft spot for Meen and I think he deserved better than Pipe, although, taken separately, Pipe was a likable character, too. I don't know why it was necessary to pair them off, and if it had to happen, I wish Pipe's feelings were not awaken by jealousy and Meen hadn't forgiven him that quickly, especially when it became clear that Pipe's been treating him horribly for years.
It's a shame they falied to promote this properly and added the (not very good) English subtitles that late, because the series are better than many others and deserve more watchers.
I was a little underwhelmed by the first episode, but I really liked this one! It kept me on my toes from the beginning to the end and I hope the quality of the following episodes will be the same.
I don't know if we're getting a love triangle, but I've been waiting for a properly executed one for a while and if it happens here, my expectations are high and I hope they will deliver. If anyone has suggestions for a BL with a love triangle done right, let me know. ;)
Love all the female characters btw, even Ying, she's sorta funny and awful at the same time and I'm entertained.
