for me sad and open ended ending are both terrible. But I agree, opened ending are worse! It’s just lazy writing and they cover up everything by saying some bullsh*t (like use “your imagination”)for damage control. It’s ridiculous because the drama is not that deep, why make reality into a fairytale/dream.

Not necessarily, unfortunately a few other websites are saying there is only 16 or 18 episodes :( anyway fans have received the novel ending this week they had some mixed responses, the ending is not looking good. But Drama series usually have different endings though so hopefully everything is tied up nicely and it’s happy!

We can hope for a happy ending, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Even tho it’s a rom com, it also has a lot of depth and mature themes. The drama could go in so many directions, so we can’t rule out an open ended ending yet. Only a few more episodes to go!

Very true, I’ll be so disappointed if they decide to broadcast a different version of the ending. I mean did u see what happened to Sleepless Princess. The Tv studio cut out the happy ending and are making ppl pay extra for the happily ever after “special episode”.

I saw the director’s official statement on weibo and it looks like it was originally scripted to be an open ended ending. However they decided to make it happy while filming it. (Mango Tv’s fault for cutting it out) anyway the director comments that he actually likes this open ended ending better. Because it is is more realistic and it feels closer to heart. He also says ofc the princess waking up also makes him happy. So that’s why the happy epilogue/special episode is coming next week, u can choose how u want to interpret the fairytale because essentially everyone interprets and understands the story differently. Chinese is my second language so my chinese is not that good either. But it’s not that deep so it wasn’t that hard to interpret. Another thing is that it makes no sense for ChuYue to wake up, there’s no proper logic that she should. The curse is forever! She is only going to wake up for the sake of a happily ever after. Lol

No idea, it makes no sense. It was just showing a happily ever after ideal. He never addresses why the characters are there in his dialogue either. That’s why I’m saying at this point even if ChuYue wakes up, it’s probably all in Xue Yao’s head. We just to assume that it’s reality, but I honestly think this is just his imagination. Now it just depends on the audiences perception. They left it as an open ending and if u wish for more then u can watch the epilogue. I guess they made it a little unrealistic now and more creative lol

He was basically just talking about how he wishes she could wake up and see for herself that their friends are all living a happily ever after. (the part where the characters just showed up and disappeared) nothing but bullshit to drag it out. Even the costume changes don’t make sense when they are meant to be in the same day but they changed clothes! So essentially they just threw in random clips they filmed and made that the ending for ep35. CoS again originally the happy ending was not meant to be cut out ;(

And then when they are on the top of the mountain, the final 5 minutes, he talks about how their journey has taken them one full circle and they arrive back at this place. He also wonders what will ChuYue do when she wakes up one day and he is dead already. Then we see him holding her in his arms and it looks like he is preparing to jump off the cliff. So at this point what is his imagination and what is reality anymore LMAO.

It’s ridiculous they literally spent 20 minutes of XueYao pushing an unconscious ChuYue on a wheelchair lmao. U can tell that this was unplanned because they had to fill in the last minutes with unnecessary flashbacks that would of been our happily ever after. But no no, they want more money and they want to make members pay extra the finale :/ I can’t wait for next week!

The epilogue is coming out next Wednesday, it is an happily ever after short clip with sweet moments between the leads. A video where the FL wakes ups! This was originally meant to be airred with today’s final episode. However unexpectedly MANGO tv decided to release that video next Wednesday instead to get more money! :/

There are also so many historical dramas showing that u won’t get pregnant that easily. So many dramas where the wife fakes her pregnancy to gain the emperors favour. So again why did they not just get an imperial doctor instead of getting a eunuch to spying on them everyday. lol

Also can I just say, why didn’t it occur to anyone to get a fricking imperial doctor to check the FL’s pulse. To see if she is actually pregnant or faking it lmao. It’s not logical at all, they claim that on the night of Nai Xi and Xue Yao’s wedddingshe supposedly got drunk and had sex with SML and then got pregnant THE NEXT DAY. Any time before then FL was still in prison, so they did not have sex there either. Thus I say it would take a few WEEKS before u would actually realise u are pregnant even if she actually had sex! Not one fricking day! (They don’t actually have sex and get pregnant btw, it was just a lie)

I’ve watched all of it now, lmao I still think it has gone south lmao. I can’t wait for the epilogue next Wednesday! :)

I watch it raw on Duboku but I guess u could watch it on drama cool with eng subs. Either way the epilogue won’t be out until at least next Wednesday night!

(They announced this on their weibo) personally I watch it from third party websites for free and they still air things on time and in advance. lol

LMAO I read ur comment and thought it said “amnesia” instead of “insomnia”! And I was like is Alan Yu supposed to help u regain ur memory or somth? Anyway ur comment made me laugh ahahah. I have never watched a Alan Yu drama before, not sure what to except after all these hilarious comments his acting skills. lol

I think that scene in ep13 where Xiaoen tells Aoran about He Tian Xing and Aoran says something along the lines of “maybe Tian Xing doesn’t want to wake up. It sounds like he is living a very hard/sad life as an illegitimate child. Maybe being in coma is the only time he can be the real him”. At that point I think Aoran was talking about himself. So maybe that’s exactly what’s happening rn and Aoran is the “real him” inside of Tian Xing.

I think the drama will redeem itself in the last 3 episodes! :)

I’m yet to watch the latest episodes but Ik once I watch it I will be coming straight to the comments to write a very long message with my complaints lmao. This drama has officially gone south!
