Upon waiting for for the final eps, I started following what was going on with this drama on weibo. I think that made it particularly harder to move on from the drama, after knowing all the work that went on behind the scenes and hearing the actors talk about the drama in irl. In particular, the FL GRF has caught my attention and rlly moved me. In a live broadcast she has spoken about how hadn’t filmed a drama in 20 months before this drama. The SML LTY, asking her if it was bc she didn’t want to. She said that it was bc there wasn’t any suitable opportunities. Upon filming this drama, she said initially it was hard for her to interact with everyone after not filming for so long, she didn’t feel as lively as everyone else. Though in the moment when discussing the script with everyone it was fine but afterwards, she felt alone again. But thru filming this drama, she was able to become more extroverted.

She recently posted a clip upon the wrap up of the drama, she was crying as she spoke about how she recently saw a post from one her earliest fans from her first ever drama, back when she didn’t have many fans. They became friends and encouraged each other. However, as GRF career’s wasn’t that smooth and the fan got busy with her own life, they stopped talking. But the fan noticed recently that even after all these years, GRF still kept the WeiXin pfp avatar that the fan drew for her 7 years ago.

It’s not easy to become popular from a short length drama, so I hope to see GRF in many more dramas in the future!! Good luck to both leads!

essentially it featured, the ML and FL getting dessert for their one year anniversary of being together and they were blogging it. Then there was the ML’s proposal at the bookstore, where he said her name and she automatically did the thing where she raised her hand (like reporting her attendance) and he put the ring on her. It was also revealed that that night he did measure her finger size as well. And also that a finger print on A4 piece of paper doesn’t actually work so he actually used a random person’s finger print claiming it was Wen Xi’s at the time. Then another scene of the ML getting mad at the FL bc she was half an hour late to the wedding dress fitting as she lost track of time shopping with Qiao Fei. He was worried somth happened to her bc she wasn’t answering her phone. And then showed the dress fitting and then in the change rooms. And then it showed them having an interview on the couch where they spoke about their future and their future kids names, and they also had their wedding shoot. And then there just a BTS of ML and FL reacting to the kissing scene with the tongue kiss.

Ahha noo I think that’s just the person adding a filter onto the video to avoid copyright perhaps. The original clip did not have a 1987 cam recorder filter and there were more separate clips all round 2 minutes each. I’m actually not sure where to find the original ones yet. But I have seen some glimpses from the reposts on weibo.

With the popularity of the drama in China, the director recently purchased tickets for the leads to come to Guangdong and film some extra clips which included the wedding photo shoot. The leads have been going on live broadcast together the last few nights. The extra clips have now been released but it does cost extra money!

I can tell that the ML loves her with his whole life. Everything he does is for her and he protects her every step of the way.

yes his actions can be intense at times and if this was real life, absolutely walk away. But in this drama, in this moment I get it. (He’s so fine and who can complain)

ahha that’s just my take on it. ^_^ Though I do agree the bromance scenes were too much esp since the ML genuinely treated Ling Yuan as a friend whereas Ling Yuan treated it as a game.

I believe he has some kind of complexity, e.g victim complex where he wants to appear as weak in front on the ML like a little brother that need protecting (as he says this himself), probs enjoys this kind of thing and having control over situations and manipulating the ppl around him into believing he is a victim. Obv suffers from mental health issues, probs from stemmed from childhood trauma and current adulthood trauma by his dad who abuses him and psychologically manipulates him into doing whatever his dad wants. When u are deprived of parental love, u seek care, comfort, warmth and familiarity from somewhere else. I believe that was Wen Hao’s importance to him. But with a strong need for control and greater ambition, he will sacrifice the ppl closest to him if they do not follow his wishes, all while he fakes being a victim. I believe his actions towards the ML feeds towards this victim complex. It’s not so much attraction, but attention that he wants.

Accidentally spoiled it for myself 😭, saw a still on weibo and the ML cries and apologises to the FL, admitting that he was wrong and too arrogant. I feel bad for him now.

oh it looks the ML had his own reason for entering GE. Guess his dad probs died bc he got tricked by the GE ppl which was probs Ling Yuan’s father’s scheming.

lol in recent eps it appears that the FL is meant to have naturally frizzy wavey hair. But somehow when she was kept captive in a foreign country, her hair was always straight. she must of been rlly enjoying herself to use a straightener everyday 🤣

The chemistry and tension is insane!! This drama is actually addicting. Is it possible to watch an episode without replaying a scene? no…

pretty sure he just pretending to be the bad guy, he just doesn’t want the FL to get implicated or hurt. So he’s just acting like that so she safely stay by his side while he does the investigating stuff himself.

there’s no dialogue that explains this, but i think it’s pretty clear from the ML’s behaviour in ep12 that he actually cares about the FL and did not betray her.
